I signed up for service through work in a T-Mobile e-mail offer that everyone was jumping on so went with the crowd. T-Mobile customer service told me I had to go to a location for a new SIM card. They couldn't connect my new phone number to my phone automatically for some reason. Meanwhile they gave me a new phone number and have my banking information and everything. So I am now paying but can't use the phone. So I wanted to cancel. But I couldn't cancel because they had to verify it was me through the new phone number. So now I had to go to a location for either two reasons: for a new SIM card if I want service or to show my ID if I want to cancel. I spoke with the manager Kevin for literally an hour when I came in. Turns out my phone wasn't compatible because it's locked by Verizon from so many years back. I haven't had a cellphone up and running for years. So first he established that a new SIM card wouldn't work and next I was forced to opt out. He couldn't process the cancellation easily because customer service was slow and kept transferring him. Finally he processed it as a No Install or something. I had to call him back later (from my landline in case you are wondering) to verify it went through. Bottom line, this location helped when they weren't gaining anything. Now if I do ever get a new cellphone and service, I will definitely remember this location! read more

I needed a new phone. Saturday I purchased a new one. I received excellent service. The associate was a real gentlemen. I am a senior & without me mentioning the sales associate got me a chair to sit in while I waited for him to switch phone info.. Best experience in a cell store usually going to a cell store is painful. read more

Cindy was amazing! This location is not the one closest to me, but I will use them again. I needed help with resetting my cracked phone to return it to the insurance company (after I had already received the replacement). I also had a question for the insurance company. Cindy, who greeted me as soon as I came in. She provided me with the insurance company, lent me a charger so I could turn my phone on and reset it. I was a bit frazzled when I walked in, but Cindy helped me every step of the way and didn't make me feel bad for being unprepared. Thanks, Cindy! read more

I signed up with Tarrytown T-Mobile 10 years ago and I continue to receive great service both on my phone and in person at the local store. Today my wife and I went for help with her phone, which was having difficulty. Kevin was our service man. He swapped out and put in a new sim card, checked and made adjustments on some of the apps, and returned my wife's phone in great working condition. Plus: no charge for this service. Well, they're still no better. I was told by online Tech Support that I could go there and have my defective modem replaced. They texted me the address, so I went to the store and told this to the person standing there. He said that they're only a reseller, and that I have to go elsewhere for my modem. I asked him to text me the address, and he took my phone, I thought to sync the address, and instead, he put it into Google Maps. I didn't want to drive 20 minutes at the time to the address, so the address was eventually lost. I called the store and asked the person to give me the address again, and he said that was the manager I spoke with, and he didn't know the address, but he would give the manager my number and have him call back with the address. I have yet to receive a call back. T-mobile is a good service; it's just that some locations should be shut down when they receive too many one star reviews... read more

Short version: One employee gave me false information so I would add lines to my account. It didn't work out the way she said, I returned the phones (still mint) and closed the lines within a week and the manager refused to waive the restocking fee. Long Version: On 2/27 In-store Rep: Odiezan says I can open two lines + free phones and WILL be able to bring in two outside lines to those phone numbers. A week later and after 3 attempts T-mobile customer service says that bringing in the other numbers won't work because of the promotion and the numbers being from a T-Mobile account. 3/7 I go to the store and between Rep: Albert and Manager: Esmeralda I'm told that if I cancel the lines, I will lose any and all other promotions on my account. I had to call customer service to verify that that's a lie. Manager: Esmeralda says that I have to pay a restocking fee. I said that I signed up for these lines based on what their Rep: Odiezan assured me would work out and to otherwise comeback for a return; my thoughts are I shouldn't have to pay for buying something based on false information when I clearly explained the situation before the transaction. Manager Esmeralda first says that that employee no longer works there..... I gave her a 'look' and said: "After six days of me opening the lines?!". Then Manager Esmeralda says that she knows this employee and that she knows the promotions very well and wouldn't have said that... The store kept the $140 for restocking fees but throughout most of this T-Mobile customer service was listening on the line and 'made it right' on their end. While in-store they were all super polite and cordial while scamming / robbing me for the fee... Thanks for that - there's your one star review. Lesson learned: T-Mobile stores and T-Mobile customer service are two very separate things. Maybe because phone calls can be recorded and reviewed as opposed to in-store where they can say whatever they want to convince you and change the story later; I don't know. Corporate if you're listening (reading): maybe a little re-training or closer eye on stores? read more

First and foremost Esmeralda the person working there had a very nasty attitude she did not explain things well it she made us feel like we were bothering her for us to go to any location and encounter someone like that I would never ever advise anyone to go there nor will I be going there unless she's fired or moved this store has the very worse employees ever they all have attitudes like customers bother them come on man people need and have the right to know everything they pay for this woman threw us an adaptor claiming it to me free meanwhile it wasn't like who are you to spend up money that's not yours then when u call the man who answered the call is just as nasty as she is this store sucks big time T-Mobile I've been with u all for years and years I don't have to stay if you continue having these types of people I will not continue paying you nor telling anyone else about this store! get your minds right please !!!! read more

The Tarrytown T-Mobile store is managed by an absolute jerk of a manager, Elias, who hired two completely incompetent junior people who need to ask him every single question while he leaves the store early. When I came into this store, from the beginning Elias acted as if he couldn't be bothered, and in fact, left the store early soon after. I was left to deal with one of his junior staff, a woman so incompetent she literally called Elias the second he left the shop and stayed on her cell with him THE ENTIRE TIME she was "working" on my phone because she barely knows how to do anything. Elias was on the line the entire time telling her every step of what she needed to do -- and they still left me hanging for a long time. Maybe it was a good thing Elias left early, because he is a massive jerk in person, with a huge "you bug me, get out of my face" kind of energy for everybody. If he hates his job and the rest of humanity, he should find a new one and stop taking out his bad mood on us. And if T-Mobile wants to improve their #3 position in the market, they sure aren't doing well with jerks like Elias and his crew running the Tarrytown store. read more
