Apparently before we moved to the high desert, Frontier Communications bought a lot of what had…read morebeen Verizon infrastructure (wiring, poles, switch networks, etc.) as well as presumptive customer base, almost nationally. I gather that for the most part Verizon just wanted to get out of that business for some reason. In theory I am fine with that concept since I fired verizon for consistent overcharging for cell service and selling me products I did not need. But I did not have internet nor TV cable service from them. I am kind of glad I did not, but I was not that impressed with Comcast Cable either, where I used to live. Once moving to the desert and after signing a contract with frontier in 92345 zip code for $55 per month (basic cable TV and internet) I discovered that Frontier never provides service for that amount. "Sur-charges" including "broadcast TV" amount to $25 and the router and DVR each cost about $17 per month. Apparently the field service people discourage using your own router/modem since it is convenient to blame that unit for anything that goes wrong. At least comcast did not expect everyone to rent their routers. In any case my current billing base rate is $126 and I do not recall having made a contract which approved that amount. Maybe it is their "new" price after the 2 year introductory rate or something. An "introductory price" is basically an excuse to bait-and-switch and appears to be a common industry tactic. Meanwhile we have supposedly 200Mbit fiber optic internet service; never mind that "fiber optic" does not determine the SPEED of the connection (rather the endpoints do) and other reviews I have seen suggest similar displeasure with "faster" gigabit-service which I assume is even more expensive and apparently does not deliver either. I did try to contact frontier about their deceptive advertising and exorbitant billing rate (and we have the cheapest cable TV service they sell), which is still priced beyond what it is worth. Obviously someone is making money. Engine net searches suggest that Frontier has actually been in chapter 11 since about 2010 and despite that continues to provide service. Obviously they do not have to do a very good job of it, since they have virtual monopolies in the areas were cities have made deals with them I guess. Our local alternative appears to be Spectrum but I do not think their reputation is any better. I would be interested in other opinions about this set of issues.

We were waiting for our turn. When the couple she was helping left. She was on her tablet. She knew we were waiting. Until I asked for her name and walked out. She was terrible customer service. Completely ignored us. Typical of tmobile and there employees. Thanks for the waste of time JULIE!

Hello everyone my name isn't important but my experience certainly is especially to fellow…read moreconsumers such as myself and you. I recently, 4 months ago purchase two phones and the home internet from the store on Mt Vernon in San Bernardino. Every month, for the last 4 months i have been paying ass high up amounts of $300 $183 and $93. Nothing equivalent matches up to what I thought I should have been paying, so anyway long story short I was told by customer service that I have been paying for two phones a home internet and a tablet which was never received by me, along with financing and services for that tablet. Now, to end my relationship with T-Mobile I would have to pay up to $900. The representative who sold me my services no longer works for T-Mobile and I wonder, WHY? Luis the associate in the store today has just informed me that there was nothing they can do ABOUT REMOVING THIS DEVICE AND REIMBURSING EVERYTHING I SHELLED OUT. every month after. I've got no help they're pretty much telling me that I'm stuck with paying for this f.... device excuse my language and it's finance charges and it's services and if I cancel I would have to pay that amount. I find this totally unacceptable and thought you consumers should know. I hope this doesn't happen to you. Fyi , in respects to Metro I got additional charges from them too and got really pissed off and left them to go to T-Mobile the whole franchise are crooked and ripping us all off can you imagine Tmobile ripping everyone off in small increments that we hardly notice. It's ripping us off and is unfair. If anyone has had and experience, or something like this happen to you, let's bond together and begin a class action law suit against Tmobile and physically get out money back. I'm sure the higher ups can figures this out. It's hard enough and can barely afford to take care of our families. We can't allow this to carry on. Thanks everyone.

A member of our congregation set up a greeting that said our church was closed and to just leave a message. That congregant has moved away and we've been struggling with changing the phone message since. Several years ago I met Mike on a job and noticed his ability to run cable even to the most difficult locations. Everything was neat, clean and professional, so we exchanged business cards. Over the past several years, I have referred numerous customers to Mike and used his services personally on many occasions including my office. Not only is the work done in a timely manner, but every jack is labeled, terminated and tested. He even leaves several brand new spare patch cables! What a pleasure it is to come out to a job that has been cabled by Mike "The Phone Guy" and simply plug everything in and it works the first time. On several occasions I have referred Mike to customers with very expensive homes that required the highest professionalism for the installation and every job was done with surgical expertise, customer always pleased as punch, makes my job easier and don't let me forget to say that Mike is a licensed contractor, so you don't have to worry about some shady work that never gets completed. The only thing left I have to say is.. If you need a cabling job done right the first time, then I would absolutely without hesitation recommend you call Mike "The Phone Guy". He is an honest, hard-working professional whom I have dealt with for more than 15 years. Mike... YOU ROCK MIKE!!!
