I previously used Junk King and was very satisfied with their service. So I used them again last month, but unfortunately had a very different experience. I needed a fairly large number of items removed and hauled away from my garage rafters and elsewhere in the garage. I will say it was a very hot day and I'm guessing that contributed to their haste to complete the job. They threw the items down from the rafters with such force and carelessness that they knocked a sensor off my automatic garage door and damaged a metal shelving unit. I did get reimbursed for reinstalling the garage door sensor and a tiny bit of money for the banged up shelf. Unfortunately, since that time, I have found a few other things that were damaged -- nothing super huge, but more than enough to show me that they approached the entire junk removal with a lack of sufficient care and attention. There are other decent junk hauling companies out there. Since I have had this negative experience, at this point I will look elsewhere in the future. read more

What a great service! After not hearing back from many "reliable" companies in my area, I heard from them within half an hour of sending out a text of the appliance I want it removed and they were very accommodating and informative when I asked questions about recycling the appliance. They insured me that it would be looked over to see if it could be refurbished or recycled and if not, then they would toss it. But more than likely, it would be recycled because of how new it was and that only one part was broken while everything else was fine. I booked the next day and they arrived early, which worked better with my schedule. They were very friendly, Ricky was my point of contact, and they picked it up and walked out with it down a flight of stairs without complaining. They actually claimed it was pretty light. The payment process took less than a minute and the entire process took five minutes. I would definitely use their service again and recommend it to others because of how efficient, kind, and straightforward they were about the entire process and pricing. read more

Our company has worked with Junk King several times in the past doing trash outs for vacant homes. The team that handles Ontario however gave us the runaround by charging us a low price for a cleanout and then calling us the day of saying they "found more junk" because they didn't check a building on their inspection visit. This cost nearly $1000 extra. Working remotely the team sent us photos of the work not including all areas of the home. I let it go due to our good history using this company. After inspecting the property we found lots of misc property lying around that should have been removed. Calling Junk King management they gave the franchisee in this area a call to ask about the situation. Please read as this is important and is the reason I am writing this review... Customer service told us (the paying customer) that since the franchisee owner told them the job was done there was nothing they could do. They take the word of their employees over a customer that can prove with photos taken twice a month that the franchisee did not do his job. Junk King is not customer-centric and for this reason, they have lost all business from us across all of California. Please take care when using this company remotely. They do a fantastic job for a great price when you hover over their shoulder but otherwise, you should find a more trustworthy vendor for trash removal. Thank you for responding quickly to my generic inquiry via Yelp. I explained that I was looking for a trash removal company in order to assist an elderly (crazy, crabby, psycho) homeowner with removing debris leftover from someone chopping down a super tall palm tree that came with her property that she and her husband purchased back in 1988. Yeah, super long time to live in MoVal, am I right? This company took tome out of their busy schedule to respond to me Sunday afternoon. There was a follow up message this morning. I had to explain that the crabby homeowner decided to hire someone else clean up and pick up the tree debris this morning. Normally, a response back after me telling someone that someone else was hired would be radio silence or the standard "ok". Here's where customer service stands out. I received an "ok no worries. Enjoy your day." For me, the courtesy and professionalism stands out. I didn't get cussed out because the homeowner went with someone else. They actually thanked me for my time and told me to have a nice day! How awesome is that? Of course I'm going to keep the company name and contact information to pass on! Wouldn't you? read more

The absolut worst, choose literally any other junk removal company, here is what happened on my "service" today, January 18, 2021: -I was quoted a time of 10am-12pm. The crew did not arrive until 1:30. They did communicate, but it thru a major wrench into my day -upon arrival, without really liking too much at what was going to be taken, the crew quoted me $380! For a few boxes and a dresser and chair??? That seems way excessive. I eventually told him I wasn't paying over $150 -I specifically and carefully pointed out all of the items removed, and they still left a chair that I had specifically pointed out To make matters worse, when I contacted the company about the chair they "forgot", the reply I received was "sorry about that, we'd be Hally to come back out and get the chair for an additional $85.00". I needed and wanted a large non-working, heavy appliance removed the same day as I was requested quotes, and Junk King offered to do that at the lowest price of all the places I contacted. I received a response to my request quickly and was even offered an earlier pickup time than I could accommodate. The driver called me 20 minutes before the time I stipulated, and then arrived at the expected time. The 2 gentlemen that arrived were very friendly and professional. They arrived with an appropriate vehicle and equipment for the removal needed. They quickly removed the heavy appliance, processed my credit card payment, and left. The complete interaction from the time they knocked on my door to the time they drove away lasted less than 15 minutes. I realized later that the business is located in Riverside and had no issue accommodating my pickup in Rancho Cucamonga. I would continue to use this business for all future similar needs, would recommend the business to others, and am completely satisfied with all aspects of the experience. read more

***During COVID-19 Visit*** I called to get a quote and Anna walked me through the entire process which was super easy. She gave me a quote and keep in mind, this is just an estimate. It is not the actual cost as prices do fluctuate. I was amazed at how fast the process was and she booked me for a next day pick up. Josh and two other team members showed up and kept in contact with me on the day of the pick up. Once they arrived, they went to work and got the items I needed out of my place. These guys were great. We had nearly 12 tons of rubble in our backyard from breaking up 2 concrete pads and 2 giant concrete pillars. I had them come to my home and give me an estimate in writing. A week later I call and scheduled for them to do the job. When they can there were three people and two of them started going off that the quote was wrong, that is a lot for the amount they had in writing. One of them kept saying the same thing over and over. I started to get a little fearful. They even left a item and the glass that belonged to the shelf for the wall unit that they had on the truck.
