They advertise that if you switch to them you can get a free phone and a good rate. So I decided to switch. It took 2 hours to get my account setup. In the end I didn't get a free phone nor did they give me a decent monthly rate. T-Mobile is a joke. Now, rather than pay $40 a month I am paying $95 a month. read more

The two guys that were working promptly helped us get a new glass screensaver for one of our iPhones. They were jovial and courteous, and very nice to deal with. BEWARE T MOBILE! CHOOSE ANOTHER CARRIER! I have been a customer of tmobile for almost a decade and let me warn you, THEY DO NOT VALUE LOYAL CUSTOMERS, AND MANY TIMES DECIEVE YOU WHILE THEY PAD YOUR BILL! On the day I opened my account with them I set up auto pay to be taken out of my account on the 2nd if each month. They have never been able to accomplish this. It has never come out on the day it was supposed to wreaking havoc with my bank account. For a year or more I've complained about this and each time the rep lied to me, said it would come out when it was supposed to but the date has gotten later and later. This is unacceptable. Then I call it takes over 15 minutes to get to a rep that can't speak english and they could not find an English speaking person after I requested one. SO VERY UNPATRIOTIC. CERTAINLY NOT WHAT ID CALL AN AMERICAN COMPANY WHEN THEY DONT EMPLOY AMERICANS! Her name was hazel and she spoke broken English with such a heavy accent I couldn't understand her but couldn't get an American on the line. Bottom line is I had to threaten to cancel my service before they even spoke right to me! I did find out after many questions and with great difficulty understanding that the watches they told me was free for being a loyal customer were actually costing over 70.00 a month! I'm angry and canceled them. Then I find our that the insurance I had on 2 off the phones was not canceled months ago like I asked instead the foreigner rep I spoke to actually implemented insurance on all 4 of my phones without my consent or permission! Another 80.00 a month I didn't authorize! So they have ripped me off for months, almost a year, every month 150.00 per month! I AM LIVID! I live on 800.00 a month and have told them everytime I call that my bills to high! I have requested an itemized list of exactly what I'm paying and for what to be sent to me multiple times but have never received one! The service is inadequate and often off network where you can't make any calls not even to 911 I discovered to my horror recently. The dropped calls and constant lack of internet is totally unacceptable. I really liked tmobile the first 5 years but they are HORRIBLE to senior citizens who are loyal customers! As soon as I pay off my last phone I will be changing carriers! Remember I am what's they call a preferred customer and this is the way I'm treated after 10 yrs of loyal service!? No way! I went to this T-Mobile location to transfer 5 phone lines from a different carrier to T-mobile. We were able to keep all our old numbers and Joe, who was excellent, helped us pretty seamlessly. We ran into a couple snags that were out of their control but Joe patiently got us through step by step. I am excited to use this new carrier. We had been with our previous carrier for 17 years. I went to this location with a unique problem that is too long and complicated to put in a review. It would be nice if we had some competition for internet service, but T-Mobile is not ready to do it. We tried T-Mobile internet service, and it was slow. If you put a second device on, it was slower than 1995 AOL. It stops and starts over and over again. T-Mobile does not have the equipment or technology to provide us with high-speed internet service now. Maybe in the future they can get us off of the current providers who are ripping us off with over $50.00 per month for internet service. I will try T-Mobile again in about a year. read more

I went in to this location to get my screen cover replaced. I had come in a few weeks prior to have it replaced since I have the perk on getting free phone covers replaced for life. They didn't have any that fit my phone in stock, so they had it shipped to my address. One of the best parts of this perk for me is they will actually replace the phone cover for you rather than having to do it yourself. It always comes out crooked when I do it, so it's nice to have them do it. Today when I went in, John was at the counter and replaced my screen cover for me. However, he made a sarcastic comment towards me along the lines of "you didn't want to read the instructions and do it yourself". I didn't appreciate this snide remark as it was completely unnecessary. If you offer a service, don't complain about doing it. I'd understand if they were busy and inundated with customers, but they were dead. There was only one other customer who was already being helped. I get it may be an easy task for them, but if I pay for this perk I'm going to use it. The customer service at this location is lacking for me. read more

Today I threw a temper tantrum and smashed my iPhone against the wall and broke it. I called my service provider (T-Mobile )to inquire about a new phone. Will took excellent care of me from the moment I stepped in the door. He talked me and my bf into getting a family plan and threw in 2 free tablets, a free iPhone Xr , two wireless charging stations, 2 cases and screen protectors. He sat down with us even tho the store was already closed and explained everything about our phones and about our plans. He even gave us his personal number in case we had any questions. Service this exceptional is very rare. We couldn't be happier with our new phones so thank you will! I had just moved to Reno as a Ph.D. student at UNR, and greatly needed a phone for the next day's work, and finding my way to my AirBnb. I went in to see about switching from Verizon to T-Mobile (great Gold Star Family Discount). I knew that I would have some things to pay for considering I was starting a new plan. However, the associate helping me waited until I had paid $100+ for SIM cards to tell me it would be $300+ per phone to order new iPhones (though we had talked about ordering them for a while). He made promises he couldn't keep and ultimately we decided to do more research before switching and asked for our money back (we felt the associate was sketchy and not being upfront or honest). When I told him this he said that we weren't being "logical" and said the person with whom I was discussing switching carriers with needed someone to "talk some sense into her". He was incredibly rude to the point where I just asked for my refund to which he replied "I'm not holding your damn money hostage". It's been a few days and I have yet to see my money returned and when I called (and talked to the same associate) i was berated again. T-Mobile, you've lost a potential customer because of the poor attitude of your employees. read more

This place, put into one word, is...awful. The store itself is new, which may or may not be the reason why the service: a) takes forever. b) is deceitful. c) unprofessional. I came in a year ago, last April, wanting to specifically talk to Joey and see how he could help me transfer from AT&T to TMobile. I had a line already with TMobile and I USE TO love their customer service. So instead of ending my plan that coming August, costing $50 a month, I decided to end it that day and sign up for the all unlimited plan. The agreement that Joey told me, after calling his manager and district manager, is that they would be happy to cancel my soon ending line so I can stay with them with these two lines I wanted. He said that there will be a bill and to call customer service when it comes to explain that the store (their store) said to cancel the first line I had because of the two new ones I started. I did exactly what he told me to do, only to find myself being mocked at by the person over the phone saying that they can't do that for me and that the store who promised such a thing to me has to to. That's all fine and dandy if I DIDN'T LIVE 4 HOURS AWAY! Joey obviously understood that and took advantage of my predicament. After at least 20 phone calls, phone tags and other numerous effort on my part to contact them and have this fixed for me, I am in collections. Every time Joey AND, yes AND, his manager said they would get back to me, they didn't. So I call, and they give me the same answer. I now understand how terrible Joey's service is because how could he do better? His manager, if not worse, is just as bad! No phone calls to this day with their intentions to help me. I don't know if it's because they've run away with my money or because they've gotten their commission off of me, and that's the reason why they no longer feel I am their customer. Regardless of their reason, I wish someone higher in authority, could fix it. I am now in debt because of Joey and his and his manager's irresponsibility and the only answer they have when I call now is: "Because it's been so long, we can no longer see your screen." Oh isn't that convenient for all of you? When I called a month after, when you still COULD see my screen, you had no solution for me. So, after all of this, I would just like to say this place sucks. & whoever intends to come, take this as a warning not to come here, and go to an actual T-Mobile store. BEWARE!!! Store employees lie to you and sell you nonexistent plans. I went to the MaeAnne T-Mobile store interested in the $70 senior plan. The two employees at the store told me I could get a $90 plan with a lifetime 20% discount if I purchased BOGO Samsung phones. This plan would include free Netflix. I needed new phones so signed up for the plan. The billing in the first 2 months has not included the 20% discount. The first month I was told it would be corrected the second month. The second month I was told to call Customer Care. The plan I was sold does not exist. You need a $130 plan to get the 20% discount. BEWARE!!!! The store employees lie to you and Customer Care is not at all helpful. DO NOT do business with the company. read more

I stop by this T-Mobile location whenever I'm in town on my way to my Tahoe retreat. I had an issue pairing the Bluetooth on my phone with my Aston and the guys at this store were more than happy to help even though I wasn't making a purchase. They spent over an hour trying to figure it out and made a number of calls to different people trying to get the car and phone paired up. SInce then I've done as much of my business with them as possible and refer all my friends in Reno and nearby to this store. I've now purchased four phones from this location under both of the managers that have worked there. I have also had a minimum of a dozen friends make their phone purchases there with the same glowing reviews of the service they recieved. I cannot say enough about how well I'm treated when stopping in. Not sure about a couple of the bad reviews because this is the complete opposite of how I'm treated when I stop by. Probably just disgruntled customers with nothing better to do than complain when things don't go their way. read more

First off, long story short, I'm remedial and got locked out of my iphone5C . I've recently moved to Reno, so I searched up the nearest T-Mobile to see what they could do about my situation. As we walk in, I get no type of attention, meaning the two people working there had no idea I needed assistance. I was patient and stood there for 5 mins until one of them, that was busy helping a family, assured me they'd get to me. At around 20 mins later, one of the employees offered to help. After hearing about my problem, the guy said they didn't unlock phones because he didn't know how to do it. .............. ...So then he asks the other employee if he knew how to unlock a phone and he turned around saying "don't ask me" like if "no" wouldn't have been enough to answer with. So standing there in shock that T-Mobile couldn't help me with my T-MOBILE DEVICE , I asked what they COULD do besides nothing, and the only reason why they get 3 stars is because they directed me to Apple, which happened to solve my problem in less than 10 mins. read more

I have been extremely disappointed with the service I received from Will at the Mae Ann store in Reno. I signed up for service for my family the day after thanksgiving. Since that time, nothing I was promised has ever materialized. I was promised 200 line credits per line (4 lines) as well as deals for the new phones. I have attempted to contact Will on a few occasions, only to be ignored or promised he would get back to me and nothing. I would hesitate before signing up for T-mobile, but especially through this location or this sales person. The service is not what is promised. read more

So, i go into this store as a last resort. Went to two different Wal Marts looking for a charger for my Nexus 5, and finally found one at the second Wal Mart, got it home and its broken. Took it back and went to T Mobile. Im already tired of burning up my Saturday (i should be home smoke a blunt or drinking some whiskey, yea, i know its only 10am) but i digress. So, i enter T Mobile and I am greeted by a lovely lady named Kimberly, whom has the most amazing hazel eyes ive seen in some time. She is very nice, and doesnt appear to care that i have a black hoodie and pajama bottoms on, with a pair of very clean, new Vans. I look like ive just woken up, and i had! Weird! Anyways, i tell her my plight, and she is on it. She finds the accessories i need (a little pricey, i will be honest), but she is so nice and down to earth, i cant help but love it here. She asked for my number and name (for the receipt ), and i let her know its totally ok if she wants to call me. Nevermind the fact im probably old enough to be her father, she was just very sweet and laughed it off like a champ and delivered wonderful customer service. Leighla was one if the most helpful people I have ever met at a T-Mobile store! I got the new iPhone and a new Apple Watch with cellular and the process was so smooth and streamlined! I'm always scared to go in because I don't want to have to wait for an hour to be helped but as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and immediately helped! I switched from Sprint. Jacob was my initial contact. When I said I didn't want to switch right now, I was looking for info, I was ignored and treated as though I was getting a plan that day. When I decided to switch anyway, I came back and got my sim card. I didn't realize that my network had gone to 3G. I texted Jacob and told him I didn't get service. He gave me obscure info to set up my service. When I couldn't figure it out, I had to go down to the store. I will give him this, Jacob did go out of his way to get service for me, and seemed personally invested when he succeeded in hooking up to a 4G tower for me. But that only lasted for a short time. So I've been in and out of this store several times, most often staying at least a half hour. And I still don't have the service I'm paying for. Dave and Jason have both told me that my service is just slow. And disclosed way after the sale that sprint phones dont translate well to tmobile. And I have to work with it. So now I am not able to use the data on my phone. Great, thanks for making me grateful for Sprint again. I'll be switching back ASAP read more

I don't have much to compare this to, but if this is how cell phone companies are, no wonder people are unhappy with them. First the good: the two guys in the store, when they finally got to me, were knowledgeable and fairly efficient and pointed me to a phone that did what I needed it to at a pretty reasonable price. On the down side: isn't it about time electronics stores staffed up to meet demand? I don't have to wait in line for clothing, shoes, appliances, cars or groceries. Every time I come into T-mobile (or the Apple Store, for that matter), the few employees are swamped, there's a line and I'm there for 15 minutes to an hour for something that should take three or four minutes. We don't accept that when we buy a $3 loaf of bread. Why should we accept it when we buy a $300 phone? read more
