This review is a week overdue . I've experienced the WORST customer service at this store with the rep, Desz. It was UNPLEASANT and just straight up BAD. She was unfriendly, unhelpful, and just exuded negative energy that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The way she spoke to me was curt and abrupt. Her tone was a bit condescending when she would explain things to me. She did a transaction on my credit card and didn't thoroughly explain what was being charged. Her whole demeanor just sucked. The final straw that made me pissed even more was after she "helped" me install the screen protector on my daughter's new phone. She handed back the phone for me to inspect, I then thanked her, but she just ignored me, not saying anything, and just walked away. There was NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT WHATSOEVER! I left the store feeling angry and upset. I called the T-Mobile customer service call center and reported Desz to them. Apparently, the screen protector Desz installed had a small bubble. I went back to the store the following day to try to speak to a manager to complain about her, but unfortunately, I got Desz again. She fixed the screen protector that she messed up on. I again thanked her, but her attitude was still kinda the same. She responded by saying, "Mhmmm." as an acknowledgment and nothing else. I was gonna ask for help on an unrelated issue, but because of that 2nd encounter with Desz, I didn't wanna deal with her crappy attitude again. Instead, I drove over to the Pearl Kai store for help. For four days I labored on the phone with tmobile tech support and Sunny and Melvyn at the Pearl City Tmobile store. Tech support did everything possible to restore my internet connection to my Hisense tv. The effort and patience put forth by both Sunny and Melvyn was off the chart. Patient, courteous and truly focused on fixing my issue. Very impressive! In the end I junked the TV and got a Samsung. I'm thoroughly convinced that you cannot do any better than using Tmobile Pearl City as your cell phone provider. Thanks very much! read more

This may be a bit long so bear with me, but this is very much well deserved. I am not normally one to leave reviews for places but I have to say the service and support I have received from this team over the last few months has been nothing short of extraordinary! I am a former AT&T and spectrum customer who was advised by a friend to give t-mobile a try and I'm glad I did! I used to use AT&T for my mobile services and spectrum for my tv and internet. Over the last year or so my bill through spectrum has steadily increased while my internet performance was simultaneously decreasing. I explained all of this to Chanel, the manager there. She then presented me the option to drop both of them, sign up with T-mobile for Cell, TV, and Internet service bundled into one! The best part? I save over $200 combined dollars in the process!! The features, added benefits, and overall great atmosphere really made me feel like I made the right choice. We're about 3 months into the new service and I have never been happier with my provider. The entire team that helped me every single time has been great, I wanna thank Chanel, Charis, Mike, and Desz for the amazing service and support. Horrible Customer Service. The person, Vanja, I think her name is, who was supposed to "help" me was one of the most unprofessional person that I have ever encountered. Her stink unprofessional tone, words, facial expressions and body language was appalling. She seemed like she wanted to fight from the first moment I encountered her. I only said hello in a respectful way, let her know what the problem was with my phone and to see if she could help me. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but regardless of that, she's at work and needs to provide me and everyone else that walks in that door with professionalism, compassion, patience and kindness. If you have personal problems, leave that at home when you go to work. If you don't like your job, leave and find a new one. Don't ever mistreat customers. Worst customer experience here. First off , i came 30 mins after opening and there was 1 person in front of me yet they still took long to assist me. I finally get helped by Katrina . I wanted to buy a new phone for my husband who completely broke his phone, i told her I didn't have the phone physically and i was trying to get a new one for his birthday. She then stated I needed his passwords and to turn off his find my iphone, which i never ever had to do that when purchasing him a new phone ever. Mind you this is my account so i have complete access. So I proceeded to tell her that I don't have his Apple password and i had no way of contacting him. She still insists on asking what phone i was looking to get To see if it was in stock after she just told me that I wouldn't be able to buy him a phone without his password and i told her numerous times that I wasn't able to get onto his icloud to turn off whatever she said i needed to turn off. Then she said she would have to call somewhere to see if i could add jump on and i was already irritated at the fact that she kept insisting when she pretty much said I wouldn't be able to buy a new phone. So then shes like "you like the red one?" And I'm like "bUt yOu sAid i CaNnOt bUy a NeW pHoNe wiThoUT tUrNinG ofF his FinD my IpHonE , wHicH i CaNnoT dO." She obviously had no clue how to handle what i was asking of her. Best customer service! We were fortunate to work with Anne of T-Mobile at Pearl Highlands. She was very patient, understanding and listened to our phone needs. Before seeing Anne, we recently ran into some Travel Pass billing issues with our now former cellphone company, which we had stayed with for FOREVER. Their customer service workers were not willing to listen or assist us in any way or offer any assistance. I also recently visited one of their stores to look into possibly upgrading my phone and the guy I met was very rude. I think car sales would be a better fit for him. Anyway, we are so grateful to Anne for providing the best service and making our cellular phone switch to T-Mobile a pleasant experience. She got us the best deals available. We were even interested in the T-Mobile home Internet system, since our current Internet bill is going through the roof! Anne set us up with the system and we are trying it out right to see if it fits our needs. From my rough calculations, our savings over the next couple of years will more than cover two new phones, at current prices. My father wanted to help me change my phone plan so I would be under my older brother's T-Mobile plan. When my dad asked the girl checking people in if he could do it on my behalf, she assured him he could and he waited outside for about 45 minutes. My dad then met when a male worker, who was obviously very irritated from his last customer. He was basically very rude to my father and when my father said something about his rudeness towards him , the worker told him, rather abruptly, that he had to stay 6 feet away from him. He then told my dad, who waited basically an hour in the sun, that I had to be the person to be there to switch my plan. So my dad went there, waited for an hour just to be treated like trash... I'm very disappointed. I decided on going to another store in the Waimalu plaza to schedule an appointment. I understand covid is affecting a lot of people, but please, have your workers, whom are mostly younger people, treat our Kapuna better. I walked in on 9/9/19 a little after 1900 when it was very slow, thank goodness. I was greeted by Daran who immediately walked over to me. There was a female worker who also greeted me with a smile while Walking in, i Didn't get the chance to get her name but her smile greeting was appreciated. I mention that my phone will not turn on and that I also plugged it to the charger and tried resetting it while handing Daran my phone. He had my phone for literally 20 seconds while saying "you said you tried resetting the phone?!" Well I didn't get the chance to reply because I looked down and the apple logo was showing. I was like "Oh my goodness, what did you do?!" Daran said "reset it" lol I was like "wait show me" It was the volume button, up... down.... and hold power button! Super easy, right!? Well not for me obviously, I was doing it totally wrong with the ringer switch button. Lol I guess I wasn't listening to My other half fully or it wasn't comprehending in my brain. *STAY AWAY* Came to T-Mobile, since AT&T was getting ridiculously expensive since we didn't want to do the NEXT Plan anymore. Was super excited because we would be saving at least $80 with T-Mobile. Stood around for about 10 minutes before anyone even tried to approach me. When I got a rep to finally come talk to me I explained that I wanted to bring 5 lines over from AT&T. We went ahead and got the ball rolling. I was sold the idea to upgrade from the T-Mobile One plan to the T-Mobile One Plus. I didn't want to, as I wasn't really in need of HD Streaming, BUT I was offered a 1-month free trial. I was inforemed that after that 1-month free trail of One Plus, it would automatically cancel itself out and just go back to the regular T-Mobile One plan. APPARENTLY NOT! The bill was supposed to be $160/month ... which we made sure before we left the store and was assured that it would be. And of course, the answer was "YES, $160/month with auto pay!" Okay good. Had all our phones transferred over and went home. A week later, we get a bill for $220. Confused, I assumed it was possibly a pro-rated bill, plus our next months bill! So, I went ahead and called the T-Mobile 800 number just to verify what was going on. The phone representative explained to me that there were numbers in my bill that didn't make sense. THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS A TRIAL OF T-MOBILE ONE PLUS! We found out that our monthly bill would be $285! That's $125 more then what we thought we were going to pay! Then the representative informs me that they could be doing this to up their commission! I was so pissed! Plus, the guy that helped us at T-Mobile Pearlridge, his name is Reese, said he'd email me an itemized copy of our agreement, which we never received! AND it seemed like he had no clue as to what was supposed to be done with the lines that we were porting over. I think they deliberately add things to your bill and make you cancel it yourself over the phone, just to show that they got customers to agree to things that they don't really need! YES, STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. I can't say that the other locations are the same, but YES, STAY AWAY FROM THE T-MOBILE Pearlridge location! In less than 30 days; I've had to annul my relationship with T Mobile. The local staff and customer service representatives, especially Kai (now at Mililani) and Henry (at Pearl City) were by far, fantastic guys to work with. Unfortunately, the connectivity and dropped calls were too much for me to handle. I've learned that TMobile's mgh is highest by comparison to other cell phone service providers. As a result, the connection becomes difficult because the signal doesnt penetrate concrete like the 800 mgh at Nextel (now known as Sprint). The ultimate lesson to have learned was "you get what you pay for" Sadly, I leave TMobile. It was nice for a short while. But I am glad and happy as I return back to Sprint. 3 stars belong to the local staffing. I don't know if I would give any stars to TMobile as a carrier.... read more

I went in one day to have my number changed due to strange calls and blocked calls late at night and Wanty helped me do that in 5 minutes and even had the fee waived. I was second in line as the store opened so I was helped right away which is nice! When I call, customer service at this location is so friendly and helpful always! Came here about 2 weeks ago to transfer our two phone lines from Verizon to T-Mobile. We were greeted but a younger man, I forgot his name. We did tell him it is our first time transferring to a different line, so we're new to this. He did say he was new and currently training, no biggie to me. I understood. Until, later. Long story short, he did our transfer completely BACKWARDS. He transferred our numbers, took out our sim cards all BEFORE we were supposed to get the proper info from Verizon before transferring over. We needed to get a Transfer Port number, and it took the LONGEST time to get it because our lines were no longer on Verizon since he took us off. When he should've told us to do that FIRST. He was nice, but he was un clear about what he was doing and he blamed US for the mistake. Had to play phone tag with Verizon and T-Mobile just to get our numbers transferred over the course of 2 weeks. Our friends and Family couldn't even get ahold of us because he gave us temporary numbers until our lines were completely transferred over. Advice: Please give an experienced Team Member to help with these kinds of situations because this was so frustrating. The 2 star were for him being nice, but not professional or helpful. I wish I went to a different T-Mobile to do that transfer because that whole experience was irritating. read more

They advertise free phone if you turn in a phone in great condition which we did but they wanted to charge us 200.00. That's not what we were told the day before. Asked staff to call the rep that said there would be no charge and when one of the workers tried to call, the manager told him "no, we don't do that here". Manager said the other rep is at another store. Asked if this was a corporate store. Answer "yes". Is the other store corporate? "Yes". So why can't you call? . Let's all be honest about the wild, world of mobile service and smart devices. Nobody out there really jumps for joy at saying yay!!! I can't wait to be locked into another 2 year contract with a piece of technology that will be outdated in but a few months. Alright, so we got that all clear. Also, my SO is a nut when it comes to having the latest and greatest in tech (up to 3 months ago she was walking around with 2 droids and an iphone4...srsly!) So you get it, my experience is a bit skewed being that Lori wants to go to see the newest gadgets prior to hitting retail (as she signs up for practically every new beta or product registration for the next big thing). Oh I didn't say I am not much of a shopper either, yeah?! I am like 95% of other doods that know what we want when we shop and want to get the hell out as soon as effing possible. My surfer-bum brother came in to visit from Maui and wanted some help in upgrading from his 1st gen Blackberry-- as it fell in the ocean too many times-- so we came to this fairly new T-Mobile spot to have Lori walk and talk with Gil in figuring out the best kine phone for his needs. I was stuffed from grinding on poke from Taniokas so I wasn't in my normal, impatient, grumpy mood when we were greeted by Marisa and Juli. Gil and Lori cruised around with them talking through his needs and I sat back and blogged on a galaxy tab they had on display. In less than 30 minutes, the 4 of them were down to a few devices and another staff- Tanya (i think) was researching contracts for Gil at the counter. During this time there were over 8-10 customers that came in to browse and were passed around between the three girls like a communal pot club. Everyone looked to be irie-mon!! So I notice all of these nuances cause I have a background in the science of retail and I was impressed with the balance of attention to customers, continual updating of merchandising and testing of live product displays (yes, there were no plastic dummy phones up-- cos in 808 peeps have class and aren't 415 ghetto). Gil has to this day started to text me on the daily, has the best surfing apps out there to know up to the minute conditions(winds/swells) at his go to spots and actually seems to be more in contact with Lori and I--well cause he has a phone that works now. Big ups to Tanya, Marisa and Juli for taking care of us--despite the rigor we go thru in having to deal with the new contract, mobile device minutia. DON'T SIGN CONTRACTS HERE!!! The employees lie (or are stupid to their own company policies) to get you to sign a new contract with them that can't be resolved and traps you in a contract with misleading information. When we came to upgrade our phones a few months back, I asked very specific questions and got very specific answers - which were incorrect and/or lies. I called customer service and was told that I needed to go back to the store that told the lies and address the situation with a manager. At the end of it all, we didn't get our phones upgraded, got stuck in a two year contract we didn't want, and all because of the misleading salespeople at this store. I've been with T-mobile as a service provider for over a decade and this is by far the worst situation I've ever been in all because of this retail location. It was March 2011, my family and I were ready to upgrade our basic phones to smart phones. We all decided to drive down to T-Mobile Pearl Highlands Shopping Center to get our upgrades. When we entered the store, the environment seemed really professional and the workers looked like they knew their stuff. The waiting line was short, the phone plans they offered were at a really good rate, and the workers were helpful in some areas. Despite all the good things I mentioned, I don't recommend going to this T-Mobile location due to the workers lack of knowledge on the products, the lack of professionalism, and the lack of teamwork. This is the first time I experienced a horrible work environment. For an employee who works at a cell phone retail store, they should be able to have vast knowledge about the products that they offer. The workers here just sicken me. Majority of them didn't know the cell phone plans they offered, they didn't know the specs on the phone, and some of them didn't know the difference between Iphone and Android. Because of the worker's lack of knowledge, my family was confused. We ended up just getting basic phones since my family wasn't convinced and weren't satisfied that the workers didn't know anything about the products that they sold. The workers here really need to step up their game because if this continues on, business will be lost due to a lot of angry customers that may or will experience the service that my family experienced at T-Mobile Pearl Highlands. What's very important in working in a retail environment is teamwork. Teamwork is the key to getting things done and accomplishing a company's goal. Without teamwork a business can't function. While waiting for our phones, the consultant that was helping us needed help. There were at least four people at the register and two of them not doing anything but just talking story with each other. The consultant did call one of the workers to come and help, but she didn't come because she was talking story. The consultant did get all the paper work and phones all by himself. I lent a hand to him since it looked like he was about to drop our phones and phone cases. It's really messed up knowing that no one is there to help you get the job done right. Teamwork at this company really needs work. Another ethic that makes place so bad is the lack of professionalism. While my parents were talking to one of the consultants, I was browsing around. I noticed that the workers at the front register were laughing obnoxiously and playing around. While I was eavesdropping, I overheard one of the workers use a lot of profanity in his sentence. What makes it even worst was that my brother, who was eight years old at that time, heard those words and said it out loud. I was really angry because, for one that was really bad manners, two, the manager didn't even do anything about this situation, and three, he shouldn't say stuff like that around little kids. It hurts to know that things like this happened in what is supposed to be a professional environment. I don't recommend going here if you're a T-Mobile subscriber because of the lack of professionalism, the lack of knowledge on products, and the lack of team work. I'll agree that the workers are friendly and are willing to help but the work ethics here are not so great. I could see why the line at T-Mobile Pearl Highlands is so short. The pieces of advice I recommend for this business is for them to step up their game and be more professional. They should also get rid of that employee who swears because he wasn't being professional and respectful. Not too bad, so I walk around, and got another notification saying I was 2 person next so I came back. Furthermore I had an incident where my phone could not get service all of a sudden " searching" is all it would say , a girl fixed it and I thought she was bomb. Until 2 days later it did the same thing. She had been pressing in the sim release on my iPhone 6 and when I went back they told me I damaged it and would have to pay $275 for a new phone. Cheap plans, but terrible coverage! Didn't work for me when I had to work on Big Island, Molokai or Maui. Not sure if it would work on Kauai, Lanai or elsewhere. Even here on Oahu, coverage sucked. I live in Waikele and have barely any reception. I have to go on wifi to make calls, without them being dropped. Or to have any internet connection. So, I told myself....yes, I do have a cheap plan. But, for what? Service I can barely use? Smh! Years of frustration lead me to go next door (in Pearl City Highlands) to the best coverage all around, even the neighbor islands. And you folks already know which provider that is! Starts with a "V". Their plans are not even much more and now, I have reception where I need it! On top of all that, what made me feel that T-mobile is shady, is as soon as I switched over...they turned off coverage for my Sync-Up drive for my car, even tho I was still being charged monthly for it. I had to go there and have it resolved. If I didn't notice on my app, they would have never told me. They don't communicate on how service or billing will be, if you go in and tell them you changed service. You are no longer of interest to them anymore, so they don't care to help any further. The girl who helped us was really nice and attentive to her customers waiting in the lobby. She was also very patient with us while we were figuring out what plan we wanted to upgrade to. The reason for the 3 stars is because she wasn't able to explain the benefits and differences of each plan. Since we last upgraded our phones (2.5 yrs), they've introduced a family value plan on top of their classic plan (same 1000 minutes, unlimited data and text) Our dilemma was whether to stay in our current plan ($139.99 for 700 minutes, unlimited data and text), Value Plan ($109.99 monthly for 1000 minutes with unlimited data and text + $15 per phone for 20 months) or the classic plan ($139.99 for 1000 minutes, unlimited data and text.) Since we had 2 phones to upgrade, all plans would be the same cost of $139.99. When I asked her what the difference was and advice on what to do, she said we should stick to our old plan because we would be grandfathered in and they don't offer it anymore. Well, that didn't 't make any sense because we get a better value with the two other plans. After doing some homework (on my own while sitting in the lobby), I figured out that with both contracts, you're locked in to the 24 month minimum. Although the Value and Classic came out to the same price ($30 for 2 phones + $109.99 monthly charge for the Value or just $139.99 for the classic), the Value is better because the monthly price drops to $109.99 after we pay off the phones in 20 months. Sounds confusing right? That's exactly what I mean. Tmobile should just simplify things so their sales associates have a better time explaining them. Came here to buy a new phone and switch carriers from at&t to tmobile. They have decent plans- though all the phone plans around seem similar. I bought the Samsung galaxy note 4 and chose the uncarrier plan. The people were so very helpful- KatLyn in particular. I was there for a while before deciding and talking to a worker- but everyone asked if I needed help or had any questions. I certainly didn't feel ignored eventhough I went in saying "I'm just looking". I didn't just look- but they made the buying process pain-free and advised me on the plan that would best suit my needs. Glad to be coming here for all my future cellular needs. Fantastic experience! I was looking for a flip phone for my mom, need to switch from a smart phone she can't use. I tried to get one from her present carrier but they didn't even offer one! 2 doors down I went into T-Mobile (our carrier!) and met Kiera. Yes, I could get one although there wasn't one in stock but one was coming in. Kiera took my information & 3 days later she gave me a call. I've been with T-Mobile for more than 10 years (since middle school) and this is why I never go anywhere else: Besides their great customer service (Specifically Tori from Pearl Highlands) I pay only $160 after taxes and fees for 5 lines with UNLIMITED data with 4G LTE (Super FAST), talk and text (excluding my dad's line because he doesn't need internet). After getting 3 new phones for my sister, mom and myself, Tori waived the migration fee and add-A-line fee for ALL 3 lines. I used to pay $195 a month for 5 lines with 1000 minutes, unlimited text and 2GB high speed data, and now that I have merged into the new plan, I actually pay way less than before. I don't know if it's just me or what, but every time I come in to upgrade my phone I always leave with a problem I don't know I have till the next day! The people who work there are very friendly and try to be helpful but it seems like there are really only one or two employees walking around who actually know what they're talking about (the rest are always asking them for help....). Expect to spend at least an hour in the store especially if you're upgrading your device or have a complicated issue to solve, but that's kind of standard in any cell phone store. You really can't beat the price as I believe I pay about $30 more per month for a 3 line family plan than I was paying for a single line at Verizon. Okay, so why the three stars you ask? For the past two upgrades I have had problems with the store employees upgrading my service but canceling my existing data plan before my new plan kicked in. I mean do you really think I'm not gonna need a data plan for 2 weeks?! I could just be really picky but I don't think it's too much to ask that your upgraded data plan kick in when they cancel your old one...right? Common! read more

Keith helped me with my upgrade. He made a great suggestion on a phone I hadn't looked into yet and its awesome so far. I was feeling kind of dizzy and he brought a chair out of the back room so I could sit down. Five stars for Keith. Only put four stars because there seems to be a wait of twenty minutes or so every time I go...but that's an issue caused by upper management. Management gets three stars. read more

I was switching carriers because I felt that I was paying way too much. So I went to t mobile because they have no contracts and they got the iPhone. So since I couldn't re-use the phone I already had I had to get a new phone. They payment plans are affordable and they sales people are very friendly. Travis was very helpful with helping me back up my old iPhone and restoring everything into my new iPhone. He was very patient and very informative. Tiki was also a lot of help with switching over my phone number and making sure everything was working. If you are thinking of switching carriers, consider switching to tmobile. And make sure you visit the pearl highlands shopping center and ask for Travis or Tiki. They rock! read more
