Somebody else told us we just needed to replace the hose, which we did, and that very cheaply solved the problem. There is no valve problem. Mr. Appliance refuses to refund our money for the useless part that was ordered because of their bogus diagnosis. Sandra Blackburn keeps giving us baloney about "We stand by our diagnosis". If they were honest then "stand by our diagnosis" would be admitting they messed up and returning our money.

Another item that was improperly reported on. Kevin came and did an inspection after someone put in an offer on our house. However, his report was a very judgmental/opinions-based with nitpicky items that made it seem like they had to be fixed (things that would be free or under $10 to fix) vs. a scale of recommendations based on severity. The home is a brand new construction, just two years old, so there's really not much that needs to be fixed. Most of it was superficial and it seemed like he was just nitpicking to add to the report. Issues: - His report mentioned certain items were "poorly maintained' without adding any evidence of why when really things just needed to be serviced. - He mentioned "possible presence of rodents" based on rat traps, but he forgot to mention there was actually no rat feces, chewing or anything caught in any of the traps. I guess if we have a plunger in our bathroom that means we have plumbing issues? - He was also nitpicky about things that *needed* to be fixed (a fence board that needed to be hammered in and a vapor barrier that just needed to be pulled together). - When we came home, there were lights left on and dirt marks from shoes all throughout the house. It's frustrating that his report can cause further complications for us when it comes to the sale of our home. I certainly wouldn't want to use them for my next home purchase. After reading reviews on all the other franchise home inspectors from Pillar to Post, it seems like it's a common trend with this parent company. What a disappointment.

They were SO prompt. Literally within the hour a man was there to look at he broken lock. He made a suggestion for a temporary replacement, as the company did not carry the units currently installed on the door. I couldn't make any immediate decisions, but he gave me a full run-down of what we currently had installed and why he would recommend something different. I really feel like he took his time to help me understand the mechanics of locks (in a general sense) as well as on the security side. We ended up going with the lock mechanic's recommendation, and replaced all the locks on the exterior of our building instead of just the one that broke. I would highly recommend them for customer service and if you need something fixed quickly and efficiently. We paid a little higher price I think for the immediate service, but hey, the door doesn't ever cost as much as what is inside!
