Quick response to estimate request and came in person before giving estimate: I needed an electrician to install a power inlet and interlock kit for our newly bought generator. I sent free estimate requests to a few companies and Steve was the only one who came over to look at the site before giving estimate. He found out the location I intended to install the inlet would violate the city code and discussed with me about alternative options. Other companies either gave a quote without asking any questions or gave a quote by looking at pictures I sent to them. None of them found the location problem. 2. Reasonable quote: Steve later sent me an estimate that list cost and a detailed list of job needs to be done. The quote is reasonable comparing to other estimates. （One company's quote was more than three times higher than other quotes! so make sure to get at least a couple of quotes.） 3. Beautiful job done on time: Steve and Josh showed up on time and they did a neat job in a very short time. I really like how they cut the dry wall by small round holes and install the inlet beautifully. 4. Arrange inspection right afterwards: Steve arranged the inspection and informed me in time when the inspector changed the schedule. The work he performed on my home caused multiple issues that required immediate and costly repairs. This included: * Improper solar fan installation that caused a roof leak and damage to insulation and electrical components * HVAC duct work that came apart and reduced airflow--blowing hot air into the attic instead of the home * A saddle valve installation that led to water damage on custom-built garage cabinets I've had to spend over $1,800 out of pocket to fix the damage he caused. It gets worse--after the damage, he completely disappeared. I tried contacting him for nearly a month with no response. When he finally replied, he apologized, admitted fault, and said he would "make things right" and asked for one week to reimburse me. That never happened. He just moved my dishwasher circuit over to share with the kitchen lights and created a 30-50-50-30 quad circuit that's not GFCI protected for my new stove's outlet. the quad is shared with my dryer, which was not gfci protected since the circuit was installed before that was required. Now my dryer is scorching my clothes and I've been told that I shouldn't use my appliances until an electrician can come take a look. HAh. Oh, also, he didnt' get a permit for the work, either.. I'm guessing because it wouldn't have passed inspection or maybe he thought that he's smart and everyone else is dumb so he can do what he wants. Great. What a total scum bag. Not to mention he tacked on $800 to the bill from the original estimate saying that it was for the GFCI breaker and the additional cost for an outlet instead of it being hardwired (which is MORE expensive) and then he charged me $170 to install the cord to the stove, which I provided. I paid it but planned to discuss with the company to have it refunded, but alas they lost the estimate when they issued an invoice and I can't access it, either. Anyway, wow. After a couple of months of this issue, I emailed Jerry (Denise seems to manage the work orders and his schedule). Jerry showed up within the day to check his work, but didn't have the part that would replace a potentially faulty breaker. The next day Denise (his wife) communicated Jerry could come by with the proper part from Home Depot, but wouldn't be responsible for installing a bad part and thus a minimum charge of $250 for an hour of labor would be required to fix it. Our question was why are we financially responsible when it's not our fault a faulty part was installed? Denise became increasingly unprofessional and insulting when asked "Where did I buy the circuit breaker from?" She responded "That's what troubleshooting is" "I've wasted my whole morning discussing this" "we're so busy, we have so many customers" and thus my customer status doesn't much matter to them (in saying as much). So troubleshooting their bad parts on my dime is an acceptable business practice. Jerry is very calm and he is professional himself. It is not worth paying for a product that fails when they decide which parts to use and say their labor is warranteed forever. There's no warranty at all in that business practice. If I bought a car and the starter broke within 6 months and the warranty was bumper to bumper, they wouldn't tell me it's not their fault the manufacturer made a bad part. Why is it okay here? Bottom line, $2000 later and replacing THEaifaulty circuit breaker wasn't worth it to them to keep us as a customer. Jerry, where are you addressing any of what I said in my review with your response? Bottom line is the warranty is useless and Denise is unprofessional and disrespectful.

His work was clean and detailed - not the hack job that too often accompanies electricians who want to get a job done quickly. He completed this work after I reached out to at least a dozen electricians who I either didn't trust or who for different reasons were not good fits. What I liked most was that he offered different options to address issues. When asked he gave opinion while accepting my input. I appreciated his approach!
