RANT ALERT - BUYER BEWARE This review is for the Cross County, Yonkers store. I went in mid-March to inquire about upgrading 2 IPhone 13's. The salesman said since my current plan was old, he'd have to switch me to a current plan to get a promotion on a trade in. He told me with the new plan, my bill would only go up $5 per month, taxes and insurance included. (it would go into effect on the 28th since that was my next billing cycle) He said the phones would be free with the trade in of my current phones ($830 trade in value per phone). He also said I'd be getting free yearly upgrades and free Netflix, Apple TV and Hulu. Because I am usually leery of salespeople, I wrote everything down as he said it so I would be clear on the offer. We went over everything I had written down and he confirmed it was accurate. I thought it was a great deal and agreed. He had me sign the tablet with the order and got the new phones and began transferring over my info. from the old ones. He emailed the order documents but I was unable to open the email in store. (Maybe because the info. was transferring over, idk) He said we didn't have to wait in store for everything to transfer and that once everything was done, we could come back to turn in the old phones or they would mail an envelope to return by mail so we left. Once I got home, I opened the email and saw the trade in value was $630 on each phone, not $830 as he said. (which would result in monthly installment payments) I immediately called the store to ask him what was going on and he said he would check it out. He then said he made a mistake and quoted me from a different plan. He said he would switch my plan to a less expensive one which would balance out the phone installment payments. I asked if I had to sign anything and he said no that he would take care of it on his end and I would see all the changes on my next bill when the new plan kicked in. Fast forward to the 28th. I called Tmobile customer service to go over my new plan to ensure all was as stated. It was not. I'm paying $200 per phone, not getting free yearly upgrades or Hulu. i never would have upgraded phones if I knew I'd be paying $200 per phone. I went back into the store a few days later to talk to the salesman once again. After going back and forth a bit, he called the manager over to explain what happened. She initially told me if I was unhappy with the deal, I could've returned the new phones. After insistence on my part, she then said that the store offers credits but they had no more credits to give and she would have to call corporate to get permission from them. She said she'd know something by Wednesday (it was Sunday) and that she'd call me. Never heard from her so I emailed her on Thursday. No response. I called the store on Sunday but she was not in. Finally got her on Monday and she said corporate denied the credit because when I called to speak to the salesman that same day, I agreed on the new terms. (not true) I filed a complaint w the corporate office but have not heard back. I would advise NOT going to this store but if you must, don't sign anything until you see the transaction in print. I went to T-Mobile today to upgrade 2 phones. Gustavo helped me and was so very kind, professional and patient. I was there to upgrade my kids' phones. They were back amd forth on phone sizes and colors. He took it all in stride. He transfered all info, added screen protectors and phone cases. I am so happy with the changes that this store location has made. All associates and managers and great. They are also the only store that answered the phone and answered my questions without an attitude. BRAVO T-Mobile Central Ave!! read more

I had a horrible experience at the T-mobile at Ridge Hill. I went on 12/23 to get an IPad for my business. I worked with Avi and the supervisor Donte. Waited for two hours and they advised me we would get it on Friday. The reason they didn't have any in stock. They advised they would get a shipment on Friday. In addition my wife got my son a watch and a IPad of which would come in on Friday as well. Donte the supervisor assisted with this process to get the watch and my account. So I called on Friday and was told they didn't get a shipment. Saturday morning I reached out to customer service and for some reason I couldn't get into my account. So i got an operator and they could not verify me to give me any information. The operator explained i would have to go back into the store so they could get me verified. I went into the store and informed them what customer service said. At this point I was speaking with Krystal as she looked into the account and it was entered wrong with an incorrect password by Avi. Krystal stated this has happened before by the same coworker. She asked her supervisor for assistance and he could not override the system. The process took 3 hours to rectify. While we were waiting we noticed Donte go into the back and bring out a watch and give it to another customer. We remembered Krystal telling us they didn't get any shipments. So my wife saw Robert and asked if he could check to see if there is another watch. Krystal asked Donte do you remember them they came in on Wednesday. He said I dont know. She said look at them he passively look at us and said maybe. At that moment he knew he messed up. Krystal went to the back to finish my order because I never received a SIM card from Avi. Krystal and Robert came out and said that watch was ours. It was written on the board where everyone could see. As expected we were upset about this and asked how could this happen. Dontae said he was too busy on Wednesday helping other customers so he may have forgotten. As were discussing our matter not being loud or obnoxious he then said I remember you. My wife said please stop talking because she didnt want to be disrespectfu. I explained to Robert my son needed this so we keep track as he goes to school. After they all came from the back they offered to give us credit on our account. As I explained to them this was unprofessional and disrespectful to us. Crediting our account could not change how we felt. We waited 5 hours in the process of two days and this was unacceptable. We were then told we would get it on Monday. So I called customer service first to ask if the ipad was shipped. To make matters worse the watch and iPad was never put in the system correctly. So they have no record of any orders. I'm grateful to Krystal and Robert for there assistance and concern for us. I write this in frustration and not for anyone to lose their job. The treatment of customers must be better in addition to more training. read more

I visited this T-mobile because I had an issue with my phone. I must say - I was greeted immediately. It was a no fuss - simple process. The employee that helped me was Jasmine, she was thorough, kind, effective and professional. The type of person I'd hire for my own company. Nonetheless - this is a great store. I was offered great service. I am very pleased so (5) stars! I didn't see anyone in the store aggravated or being treated rudely - everyone seemed very happy with the service they received. I went to upgrade my phone to the 14 pro max I was told they had it in stock, went in person they did not have the color I was looking for. I settled for a black one but the lady who assisted me tried to sneak in a charging port in the bill and did not even tell me. She scrolled right past the breakdown of the payments to the signature page. When I asked her to go back on the iPad I saw the charge which was not explained to me. I asked her to take the charger off because I didn't need it and proceeded to tell me I will mess up my phone which is not true. I went to this location last week to upgrade two cell phones from my plan and received the utmost assistance from Liz and Priscilla. As a former Sprint customer, I was not sure what was the best option for upgrade amidst the merger and both Liz and Priscilla made my process effortless. They took their time to explain my options as well as taking the time to activate two new phones. They were both very patient and I did not feel like I was being rushed nor as if I was just a commission sale but, rather that they wanted me to receive the best possible option out there. read more

The staff here was great, the manager really took his time explaining different plans and phones since this was my first time as a T-Mobile customer. I never felt rushed or pushed into a more expensive options. Only negative: a different staff member made mention of purchasing the same screen protector for half the price online that I purchased in store. I had no problem paying a little more because I was provided with such excellent service, they even put the screen protector on for me, but not something a customer wants to hear after making a purchase. read more

Needed to get an adjustment to an account for a friend whose messed up their 55+ account for her and her husband (I had permissions on their account). This could have been a real pain of an issue. Went in, spoke with a CSR by the name of Chris and had the whole issue resolved in under 10 minutes AND he helped get a credit into the account to correct the previous months bill. Stay away from Darnelle he's a liar...I was unluckily helped by Darnelle at this T-Mobile store earlier this week(04/17/2017) and I must say it's the worst experience in recent memory. I asked about a recent promotion T-Mobile had with free MLBTV subscription and job related(city job) discount which he assured I would get both. Come to find out he lied about both and he enrolled me in the T-Mobile one plus plan so that I get free data and text while abroad. After speaking with customer service I was made away that is offered in the regular T-Mobile one plan for $75 less monthly than what Darnelle sold me. The guy is a liar and will say anything to make a sale. To add the cherry on top he didn't even give me a receipt of my purchase said everything will be accessible on the T-Mobile app once I set up my account which was also a lie. I went to this store on May 31 to purchase a cell phone for my son, i was moving the next day to Florida. Needless to say, i was informed by the sales rep that it would only cost me $10 a month to add my son to the plan. after i moved i received my first bill, OVER $200. i paid the bill and called the tmobile help line, they told me something about how i had to "catch" up. i didn't understand, and was in the process of moving so i didn't argue just paid the bill and left it alone. the next month my bill was just under $200 AGAIN. I called tmobile again they said i had to retro and catch up, no other helpful information. i happened to be back in NY (my wedding was scheduled 8/1), and i visited the store again and was informed that the person who added my son did it wrong, he retro'd the service back TWO MONTHS, and changed my plan to a plan i didn't ask for. they told me that i over paid well over $100, and i should get my money back. well i had to return to Florida on the 2nd of August, and i was there the 31st of July, i said i would stop by on my way back to Florida. i had a family emergency and never made it back, i was told to call i have called every single day and left several messages since August 2nd, and NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK i will cancel my contract as soon as i have the time, i have wasted MY MONEY because of the error of someone in that stupid store, who not only lied to me, changed my plan and the paperwork i had for the phone clearly shows the correct information Tmobile will not issue any credit to me, they say only the store manager can do that and he has NEVER returned any of my calls. i have been a customer of Tmobile before they were even called Tmobile, i have had them over 13 years i'd rather pay At&t more money and know that they won't screw up my plan, ignore my inquires and actually call me back when they say they would. i rate this store zero if i could, stealing my hard earned money, and messing up my plan, changing things without my permission, and never responding to my phone calls. horrible customer service, horrible employees, horrible all over. one star is way too much stars for this place read more

Be very careful what you sign. Make sure you get a printout of what they want you to sign before you sign it. Employees will slip things into your contract without you knowing and deceive you. I signed a finance plan for a phone that I was told was a replacement for a lost phone. Now I'm stuck with a phone that is not compatible with any of my headsets and I'm paying for it. I never received my replacement phone for all the money I spent on a protection plan. Be very careful what you sign on their tablet. They can write anything and you don't see it because the employees only show you where to sign. read more

usual tactics tmobile is known for. my phone died so i went in there to buy another phone. so of course they cannot replace the exact model that i had and steer me towards a different phone. so they tell me i can pay this phone off monthly on my t mobile bill. so i agree. when the clerk goes to ring up the sale, he tells me $31.00. i ask him what the charges are for. 20.00 upgrade fee, 3.00 service fee and the sales tax. i told him i should not have to pay 23.00 just to add a new phone to my existing plan. he tells me he cannot do anything and i have to call tmobile. i call t mobile and they tell me they cannot credit the charge because it is a store policy. i ask to speak to the store manager and they tell me they cannot credit me the charges. to add insult to injury, they tell me every other provider is doing the same. of course i do not mind paying sales tax but 23.00 just to change my phone. today i discontinued my service with t mobile. so tired of their endless antics. over the last 8 years i paid these dirt bags $7,600.00 for phone and internet service. and they ley me walk out of the store over 23.00.
