As anyone knows who has tried to "leave" Verizon, it can be a terrible breakup. I bought an Apple iPhone directly from Apple, no problem, but my partner was unable to complete the sale because Verizon would not transfer her phone number to TM. We spent a great deal of time over two days, not including the hours on the phone with Verizon, and decided to go to our closest T Mobile store. We got the most wonderful attention and help. Joe spent hours helping us but we hit an impasse and had to go to a Verizon store to plead with them to port the phone number to T Mobile. No dice. They won't do it for at least 60 days and maybe longer. Back the next day to T M store where Manni (sp?) who I think is the manager (and brilliant), took up our problem. We were there a couple of hours but without Manni's creative thinking we would have had no solution. We still have to wait for Verizon to port the phone but my partner at least can use her old phone and old number while we wait and we are now both T Mobile customers. Cannot say enough wonderful things about staff at TM on 4th St. They were busy and yet took great care of all customers. People left with smiles on their faces, as did we. We are incredibly happy we made the switch and caution other mobile phone users to stay away from Verizon!! Huge appreciation to Joe on the first day and Manni overall. TERRIBLE! I used to LOVE this T-Mobile until today. Looks like it's not only under NEW MANAGEMENT but it is also packed with NEW PEOPLE. I came in to this store earlier today to see about getting a new phone. IMMEDIATELY I noticed the music. It was DEFINITELY not PG-Rated music as it had words like the "N" word, Crap, and even the word sh*t. It was some sort of gang rape music playing and not the typical "jack FM' style I used to hear played at that store. The music made me feel SO UNCOMFORTABLE and ended up asking who I think was the manager (A tall Black Male about Med-Large build) if he could change the music. I informed him that within the 3 minutes I was in the store I had heard the three words listed above and that I didn't believe the music was professional or PG. He laughed at me. He said "Oh well, alright I'll go let the DJ know". As he walked out of the main room chuckling, he literally let the door close and then came right back out to say "Our DJ will play something else for you". OF COURSE the music continued to play. I asked him if there was another T-Mobile near by and he said "Uh, prob Willow" and shrugged. What service, right? So I left. I went to the T-Mobile on Willow next to the Albertsons and was WAY impressed. My stomach was in KNOTS as I had though maybe T-Mobile had changed their brand into some gang-rap R-rated brand. I was PLEASED to find the WILLOW STORE was much better. Their music was the up-beat, happy and most importantly, PG music I was used to hearing at T-Mobile stores, the associates spoke clearly and politely and were VERY helpful. I told ROBIN at the WILLOW store that I had just left the store on 3rd St by the Walmart because of the music and she said "OH YEAH! Everyone leaves that place. They're HORRIBLE there, now more then ever". I COULDN'T agree more. I've been a T-Mobile client for the past 6 years now and I Was COMPLETELY uncomfortable walking into the T-Mobile on 3rd St, today. SO UNCOMFORTABLE that I almost canceled my T-Mobile account entirely because I felt unsure that my favorite brand was still my favorite brand. I mean, I understand wanted to change the music choice up a bit in a store, but playing music with CURSE WORDS in it and that was NOT PG and instead was GANG RAP is completely UNACCEPTABLE for a company that's supposed to adhere to a HIGHER STANDARD. I'm glad I left that T-Mobile of 3rd st and instead went to the one on Willow because I'm SURE, based on the MANAGERS treatment of me AND the music and HORRIBLE VIBE in that store that I would NOT have received the same QUALITY CARE that I did from ROBIN at the WILLOW STORE. I really wanted to give their service at T-Mobile a bad review but an employee named Jose gave me and my girl some exceptional service (my following visit) and knowledge of the plans available. He was super patient and quick. I did have a real bad experience dealing with somebody else and i already got that complaint outta the way via Twitter. Lol. I'm so quick to go give a review for horrid service and not as quick when I leave the store happy so that's why this took me a minute to write. Jose saved that store from losing some good customers. 5 stars goes to Bree. When I first met her, it was back in February when I was getting out of my ATT contract and into a new iPhone 6. She got us in and out and explained the transition process very clearly. My 5 star review goes to her excellent service over the weekend when I dropped my phone 4 ft and completely shattered my phone!!! Somehow, it was going to cost almost $500 to take my phone through warranty upfront. So she instead sold me another phone where I only had to pay $200 deposit on an iPhone 6s. And I know, it probably sounds like I got tricked into buying a second phone, but she gave me a contact to a screen & lcd repair guy. So I'm going to fix that phone, sell it off, then apply that money to pay off the new phone I just got. I love that she knows how to navigate through problems as well as provide other solutions rather than my only solution be to cough up $500. Stupid iPhone screen though! I was just barely waving at my BF to show him where I was at, dropped it, and broke the dang thing. I would feel less like shit if I dropped it from a roller coaster! I can't believe it broke like that. Ugh! But thanks Bree for making my experience not as gruesome! Definitely get her help. Customer service lives!!! My husband and I went in to see about getting a family plan and to take advantage of t-mobile's new offer to pay off a phone balance. We were instantly greeted and asked if we needed help. Yes, we replied. I had also been experiencing some problems on my sony phone and had had three replacements sent to me and the problems still persisted! So frustrating. Jamie, the sales rep informs me that he had had that phone and completely understood where I was coming from. He advised me to call customer care to speak with them about switching the phone out for something different, which I did. He kindly spoke with customer care for me to aid in explaining my situation. He was so patient and helpful with us. The process took a bit of time. We ended up getting the new Sony z3 for no extra charge since I had had so many of the older model switched out already. I couldn't be happier! He also got my husband into their last edge note phone and we are now on a family plan! Somehow we managed to get great new phones and save close to $100/mo being on one plan. (My husband left att and t after 10 years, so worth it)This man took such great care of us and reminded me of why I have been with t-mobile since 2003 and plan to continue on with them for a long, long time. Finally got around to it, I finally took care of something that's been stressing me out for literally the past year. I'd been with Verizon for about two years. yes, I use lots of data, no, I'm not going to change that about myself. last year, i had to upgrade my data plan three times just to not get the overage charge. and every time my bill would come, I would tell myself I'd switch. tbh it all seemed like a complicated ordeal. so today, with an hour to spare, I decided to suck it up and see how many hundreds of dollars I'd have to put upfront to make the switch on top of possibly having to switch to a phone...gasp...other than an iPhone. Marina immediately greeted me and asked me what I was looking for. overwhelmed, I didn't necessarily have my words with me. she listened, patiently went through the steps, and discussed my options with clarity, (all while their store network was having some technical issues). I found out that buying out my contract was all they needed. and it wasn't nearly as expensive as I thought it would be either. so as it turns out, my contract was actually already OVER. and not only that, but I could keep my beloved iPhone, yay!within 30 minutes, i got switched over to T-Mobile, and my bill will literally be 1/3 of what it was until now...with unlimited data! Walked inside T-mobile wanting to switch over from Sprint and was told someone would be right with me. Within minutes Daysha came out and asked who was next. I told her I was and the reason why I was in and she helped me right away. I was only looking to get my line switched over and add my father to the plan later because for now he was with T-Mobile prepaid service. She told me about another plan that worked out perfectly and we are both now T-mobile customers. Daysha went above and beyond to help us out and get the service. I would steer clear from this store if I were you. Some employees are schemesters and untrustworthy, and I know for a fact that they gossip and badmouth people here for no reason other than for their own amusement. Vanessa C. told me that in exchange for bringing her new customers I would receive a credit on my account. She conducted herself in bad faith and profited a commission off of me and I never received that credit. I have proof of this. She is untruthful, and she is a fraud. T-Mobile is a great company, but I wouldn't trust my business with this employee ever again. UPDATE: To further embed the inherent dishonesty and lack of accountability rendered from this location and its staff, recently the store manager attempted to suppress my review with a invalid claim that my review was a "conflict of interest," and then hypocritically gave her store a great review to try to dissuade from the review I wrote that was reported to Yelp. If an ordinary sales agent can be deceitful and then their manager enables that behavior, what does that tell you about what kind of service is given here? Don't be fooled. Very misleading information they charge you more than what your expected to get charged but you don't see it until you second bill and when you complain they "claim" they can't do much about it. I don't recommend going here unless you want to get overly charged and when you buy phone accessories be careful because they claim it will be $13 dollars but your actually just paying taxes and it's $80 that will be taken off from your bill the lady maritza or marissa was very nice but provided very misleading information charged me for plus up data when I already have unlimited data makes no sense be very careful!!!!!do not recommend at all. read more

I came into this store and received horrible service and was lied to. I went into to make a phone upgrade. I called on the phone they made the offer turn in my Iphone 11 for a 13. I went in and told the the so called Mobile Expert of the deal. He had the offer but then told me the only way I could get the deal if I switched over to T-mobile. I'm currently under the Sprint banner. I was fine with that. I needed my aunts phone as we are on a family plan. He to me go to any T-Mobile store and they will help. I spoke the customer rep and she told that wasn't true, it would be cheaper for you both to stay on the Sprint plan. I didn't need to switch. But, the deal she was offering wasn't lowering my bill which was the whole purpose of my visit. I call customer service about cancelling my plan, they offered me another deal. I was good with it. I went back to the T-mobile store on 5th. I was helped by a rep and I was willing to switch. She asked if my phone was backed, and then said it would take 7 hours to back it up and they were closing. It doesn't take 7 hours to transfer phone data. She then said, I would give you our wi-fi password but it would go slow and we are closing soon, it was 5:20 they close at 7:00. Now, I wish I had gotten names of these "Experts" The whole purpose is to try and keep customers, safe to say, I'll be going to Spectrum. read more

He was extremely helpful, trying to get me literally back in business. After numerous calls he made arrangements to have a replacement phone shipped to their store so that I could pick it up there. I'm giving this place 2 stars only because ONE time ONE guy was nice to me. and he hooked me up since CSULB students get a discount every month(ask about it). but the item i got i decided i didn't need so i tried taking it back and was in a rush. i had tried taking it back to a store closer to me but alas had lost the receipt so i had to go to the original store. i signed a contract right, so they should have a record somewhere? oh what a fool i was to believe that! after much arguing about this the idiot 'helping me' threw it out the door and said he was not responsible for it and initially refused to talk to the TMobile rep i had dialed up on my phone that wanted to talk to him about his behavior. until he rep was said 'tell X i am a loyalty rep and he will be fired if he does not respond' in the end, TMobile decided i could come back later to resolve my issue 'when the store was less busy' giving me the extension i needed to not be roped into a contract. so i took it back about 2 months later they had NO RECORD of me getting the item in my hands, yet remembered the legendary blowout so they took it back. plus like i said 'well how else would i get it,duh?!' ugh. do not go to this store unless you want to have a pounding headache later. every other store seems decent compared to this one, event he one at Lakewood mall *this item was the thing to plug into your computer to get a 'land line' but i decided i really only need a cell phone read more
