I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to a T-Mobile store.
I went to the store seeking assistance with moving my service back to T-Mobile after recently switching to AT&T. Prior to my visit, I had contacted T-Mobile's customer care team and was instructed to visit a store for help. However, when I arrived at the store, I was told that I should be able to complete the process online because only a short period of time had passed since I left T-Mobile.
Complicating the situation, I had two SIM cards active at the same time, which caused issues with my service. The store representative informed me that he could switch me back to my AT&T SIM card, but that I would need to contact customer care for further assistance in transferring my service back to T-Mobile.
I asked whether he could contact customer care while I was in the store so that the issue could be resolved efficiently. He declined, stating that he did not have time because the store was preparing to close at 6:00 p.m. At the time of our conversation, it was approximately 5:20 p.m.
As a result, I felt that my concerns were dismissed and that I was being passed back and forth between customer care and the retail store without receiving meaningful assistance. The interaction became frustrating and unfortunately escalated.
What concerns me most is the lack of coordination between customer care and the retail store, as well as the unwillingness to assist with resolving the issue while I was present. As someone who previously worked for T-Mobile, I expected a higher level of customer service and support. read more
