My dad's iPad had a cracked screen and he took it here to be repaired. The first time it was repaired, the home button was covered in glue and there was still tape visible underneath the screen. He took it back and the guy removed the tape and said he fixed the screen, but now the screen is somehow disoriented. The iPad must be oriented in one particular direction to be able to type and it recognize the keystrokes. I'm not really sure how to describe it. The iPad isn't that old and should still be in good working order but the iPad is barely functional at this point. I know it sounds kind of silly, but the iPad is one of the last things my grandma bought for my dad before she passed away so there's a sentimental aspect to it, and it just really sucks that the man who runs this shop destroyed it. Honestly if I can leave 0 stars I would!! Do not waste your money here, they half ass fix your stuff and don't care about how they basically stole your money. They claim to have a warranty policy but yet no refunds no exchanges and all sales are final. The owners tried to speak to me like I was a child and turned on the tv and completely ignored me. Ive had my iphone screen repaired here 3 times in 6 months. Twice in the last month. Turns out he has been using low quality screens the entire time and didnt tell me until I confronted him on it telling him that when I purchased my iphone X the screen lasted 3 years and several drops. Everytime I dropped my iphone X after he repaired it (inside Case with screen protector) it broke. He tells me after the 3rd time that he has been using low quality screens (ranging from $113-$150) because people don't want to pay for the more expensive apple screens of $289. Would definitely recommend this place. The technicians are more than helpful and do amazing work on cracked screens with VERY affordable prices. However, there is a wait while your screen is being fixed, so it can be a bit monotonous. I'd recommend you bring something to keep you occupied or take care of some tasks while you wait. WARNING!SEEK REPAIRS ELSEWHERE!I brought my phone in to have my screen replaced and when I got it back my volume button did not work.My screen started ghosting and heating up.I also noticed that the new screen was not mounted flush on one side.I brought it back to have it corrected and he claims it had nothing to do with the screen.I left it for him to fix it and when I got it back the screen is still not fixed and now my phone wont charge!I should have went with my gut instinct and went elsewhere instead dealing with this f@$!#:g bum.I REPEAT AGAIN! Would not recommend this place . Guy doesn't know what he's doing . Wasted two customers time by having the phone switched after i told him many times that this wasn't my phone . I was visiting Conyers one weekend in September. I dropped my phone and the screen went out. The next day I brought it to Smartfix. I was told the screen could be replaced and the phone would be fixed. I left it and picked it up 30 min later. It seemed to be fixed and working properly so I left to attend the event that I was in town for so I wasn't on my phone much. Later that night I noticed a white line about 1" long in the center of my screen. The store was closed for the night and the following day was Sunday and the store was closed. So I headed home figuring I would try to get the screen situation fixed once I got home. When I brought it to another repair place I was told the screen that had been put on the previous day had a defective LCD. I had the new store replace the screen AGAIN. Phone worked fine and screen was working properly. I contacted Smartfix on Monday and told them they had sold me a defective screen. The guy argued with me and told me I must have dropped it again after it was repaired- which I did not. I asked if I sent the screen back- because the second place had given it to me- if they would refund me at least partially. He continued to yell at me over the phone and tell me I had to have done something to it. After about 20 minutes he agreed to let me send it back for them to look at it and once received would let me know about a partial refund. It's been two weeks and I have heard nothing! I tried to give them an opportunity for some good customer service and do the right thing for selling a defective product -to no avail. So I would not take your phone here to be fixed because they will likely charge you $160 for a screen that's defective. If you don't mind having white lines down your screen then give them a shot. And clearly I'm not the only one who's had customer service issues and issues with the quality of work. Another reviewer echoed what I said in less detail. DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY HERE. THEY ARE RUNNING SCAM AND DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS. I went to get my iPhone xr screen fixed was $109. He fixed and my faceid was not working so had to turn back around. figured it out and left, they called me two days later saying they forgot to put my bottom screws in so don't drop my phone. Of course I dropped it as I always am but i have brand new case and screen protector and whole screen was still shattered. I took it back and said i dropped it but can I get any discount because clearly it was because it was not all the way intact because all the screws were not in my phone. He says no an charges me another $109 with an attitude. Once he was done I put the phone in the case in front of him and part of the screen went black on the top corner. He acted like he changed the screen showed me something on my phone and said Im going to need a new phone soon because its something wrong with it because he changed the screen and its still black which was a entire lie. once it got too unbearable i had to get it fixed again a couple days later for $160. they told me there that it was nothing wrong with my phone it was a defective screen. I called and told them and they said bring the screen back for labor refund. So basically he lied took my money and i paid for another broken screen. BAD BUSINESS. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
