BON VONAGE! We had…read moreVonage home VoIP for about 7+ years. At first, it seemed like a smart move & decent price, solid service, and it did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately, that version of the company appears to have retired years ago. What replaced it was a masterclass in charging more while delivering less: steady price hikes, declining reliability, poor value, and customer service so ineffective it almost felt performance art. The phone somehow managed to fail most when we actually needed it. I called multiple times and made it clear I was ready to cancel unless the issues were fixed. The response? Indifference. Most calls turned into a time-wasting combination of hold music, transfers, "can i place you on a two min hold and check what i can do for you?" x 7 and unresolved problems. Then, as a final punchline, they'd send an email asking me to refer friends and family for a tiny reward and rate the agent I had just spoken with. Bold strategy. I honestly don't know how they're still around. We finally canceled for good, and it has been one of the more satisfying administrative decisions we've made. I would never recommend them, never use them again, and if they were the last phone company on earth, I'd probably start sending letters.

I was drawn to Vonage because they advertise that prices start at $13.99 for a single line, which…read moreseemed like a great deal. But when I called to get set up, I was told that with taxes and fees, the monthly total would be between $26 and $30--more than double the advertised rate. I understand that taxes and fees exist, but this level of markup feels deceptive. If the real cost is over $25/month, then $13.99 is clearly not an accurate starting point. It's disappointing and feels like a classic case of bait-and-switch pricing. I expect more transparency from a company in the communications business. I ultimately chose not to go with Vonage because I value honesty and upfront pricing.

I never write reviews but I had to share my experience at the T Mobile in Eatontown, NJ…read more After a chaotic attempt to shop for a smartwatch and failing miserably, I finally found one I purchased at Best Buy. After speaking with T-Mobile on the phone I was advised to bring it to one of their locations and they would add it to my current cellular plan. I had yet to open the box before a young salesman offered to help as I entered the store. He proceeded to explain the process all the while swiping my phone to download the App. Before I knew it he was syncing the watch and the phone. He was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. Further, he assembled the watch and gave me a tutorial! I walked out of there with my watch fully set up on my wrist! My daughter commented on our experience and I told her that I needed to write a raving review. As an educator, I needed to praise this young man because of his work ethic and genuine inclination to help above and beyond.

I owned my own iPhone 10 that was totally paid for and went into T-mobile in Eatontown, New Jersey…read more Steve, the manager, told me they have a promotion along with the Magenta plan that will offer me $50/mo for a senior plan. The promotion at the time would allow me an upgrade AT NO CHARGE to a iPhone 12. I surrendered my phone and spent 4 hours for them to switch over my contacts and found out all my contacts had only transferred my last names and all first names were put in notes. Then I received my first bill and was being charged for the upgraded phone that I should have never been charged. Back again to spent for time with Steve who agreed that there was a lack of communication with the central office and that he would credit my bill until it paid off the phone. I trusted whatever he was arranging. My whole motive to switch to tmobile was to save money and only pay for $50/mo. I went today to ask why I am paying for the phone again. I was so upset with this ongoing issue and Steve, the manager said I never qualified for the new phone and that I have to pay back the credit that made no sense why he did it that way. In the end I am being charged for the iPhone 12 that I never needed and they kept my iPhone 10. I have never been so mistreated and humiliated with such a company and highly recommend never choosing T-mobile.
