I went into T-Mobile today to get a new phone and the people that were there to help the customers. They are still politely nice and helped me out so very much. I was extremely happy with our service and the phone service is awesome and so the Internet service from them it's a great bone service to get. That's why I'm giving them five stars. I just wanted to sign up for the streaming services. They took a picture of my drivers license, I was then asked for the last 4 numbers of my social security number. Another question, then the first 4 numbers of my social security number. NOPE I said I don't give out my number and Why do you need it here is my American Express CC. They needed it for a credit check said the rep. Why I asked, by this time I'm thinking this is too much of an invasion here. I said my credit is locked so they can't check and she said I understand and Just stood there. I asked why they needed all this info about me . The rep said in case I buy a phone . I said I wont but to no avail. So because I refuse to give my ss# and unlock my credit I can't buy the streaming service. My info has been found on the dark web from 2 companies that did not protect my info as well as I have been doing. T Mobile has had customer data breaches in 2021 and 2017 and it affected millions and millions of their customers info. WHY WOULD I GIVE THEM MY INFO IF THEY CANNOT PROTECT IT???!!!!! I think their practice is totally unreasonable since they cannot protect me and clearly they don't care because they still insist people give them that info. The girl that waited on us was snarky, and I said something about them not having the colors or the types of phones that we wanted and she refused to serve us. I will not be going there again ever we're going to Cleveland where they actually have the stuff that's advertise and the staff is kind and friendly. read more
