She did a good job on my gel polished nails. Deff. Recommend trying this place. They were pretty busy. People kept coming in and having to wait for 30min even though they said 15min. Wait lol I paid $30 to have my full set nails removed and to have gel Polish my my own nails. I think they need more staff to prevent the wait. The environment was ok I suppose typical salon. I have gone to TL twice. The first time I went in for a fill and of course went for the pedi option. The manicurist redid my entire set without asking (she only mentioned what she was doing once she was well into it). The set, however looked awesome when she was done. The pedicure was really great, I had seen from the reviews here that the gals there are exceptional with the nail art, so I went for a flower on my toe even though I dont usually go for that sort of thing. There was a minor snafu with paying, they accept credit cards but you have to add the tip in before its run through--even though the slip you sign has a space for tip. I was a little confused at first. So aside from the hiccups I have come to expect at a new nail joint...what was the problem? My natural nail peeled away from the acrylic within days of the appointment. I understand these things happen, but not within a matter of days of an appointment. I went back for a second fill because I did like the work they had done. I had another manicurist (not Le) and she also did a lovely job, my nails look fantastic. However its been a matter of hours since the appointment and the corner of one of my nails is already peeling away. I dont know what the deal is with that. So over all I like them, will ask about the nail peeling thing if I go back. read more

I had a pedi on Sunday around 4pm and it was good. I felt that the scrub and nail design were not worth $5 more each( $10 Total on top of the basic pedi price of $20), but she did a really good job with the actual trimming of the nail/cuticle, buffing the heel with that giant emery board they use and the massage at the end. The scrub that I paid extra for was too long, though it did feel good,( I just didn't need that much exfoliation) and the design was not what I was expecting. It was cute, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Over all it was good enough to come back for another one. Just not going to pay extra for things I really don't need next time. read more

I love love love this place! The best nail tech ever! I got my nails done twice and I'm love with the out come. I show Van a picture of what I want and she made it look better trust me I have paper thin wide nails and it's so hard for me to find the right place that know how to work on it and lucky my co worker recommend this place and I am very happy that I meet Van because she made it work. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the place I go to, but this place was just eh for me. Now the ladies were extremely nice, but my basic mani was, well, not good. Oh, the shape of the nails were actually quite nice, but I had some tips and wanted them off, but they were just filed down. A few hours later, they peeled off. I wanted to get a pedi here really really badly. I read all the 5 star reviews, and was anxious to see what they could do. My daughter and I walked into the place at 1 pm on a Tuesday, and were immediately overwhelmed by the fumes - worse than any other nail salon I have ever been to!!. We stood there for a minute before being asked what we wanted done. Only 2 people working - 4 people sitting. It's a very small dingy place with only 4 pedi chairs, 2 mani chairs. So the lady finally said "can you come back later with a reservation". ok...my mistake, because I didn't think I needed one because no other yelpers said so. Van must be THAT great. But that's fine...both my daughter and I felt sick for at least a half hour after we walked out from the fumes - toxic!! So my review is based only on the appearance and smell of T L, NOT on the quality of workmanship. Based on other yelpers, I'm sure it's great. Yes their prices are great and they have amazing variety of colors. One of my clients recommended me to this place, I had one of their employees helping me and this lady was just being rude to me. It was my first time and I don't know if it's because I'm younger, but she was being disrespectful, every time I would ask her for something she would mock me. I eventually said that's enough I want someone else to help me. I had Kim come over and take over for the whole thing. I absolutely have to give love to Le and her girls! This place is amazing. I found this place on Yelp and I went in with my mother on mother's day. My mother was amazed at the job that Le did on her toes, hands, and eyebrows. I was too! She drew the most delicate little palm tree and beach scene on my Mom's toes, it was adorable, especially considering she was headed to the beach on vacation. My mom raved about her toes for weeks. I routinely see Le and her girls now so that my toes look perfect as only they can do. I've personally watched them scrub out the foot basins with cleaner AND they bring you a sealed autoclaved set of tools for each pedicure or manicure. Clean and awesome. I routinely take my guests to Le from out of town and she remembers all of them and always asks me how they are. This woman's memory is remarkable, I swear. After you visit once, she treats you as if you are a close friend. And, she did the absolute most fabulous job on my eye brows. They are always perfect. I highly recommend this place over any others I've visited in the area. And I shopped around for a long time. But Le was worth the wait! read more

ZERO STARS - Do NOT go here! They are all unethical and discriminating. After being a loyal client for 5 yrs, I was told by Van that she was leaving and going to a salon in San Jose and that my future appointments were cancelled. She said that if she decided to work in Livermore at all, she would call me with her schedule. I called the owner Le to see if she would take my business but she told me she was telling all of Van's clients to go somewhere else because she doesn't know how to do nails like Van. When I told her I didn't need any of the fancy designs Van does, I just wanted coffin nails, she told me she doesn't know how to do coffin. Such a lie...I've seen her do them before. And what nails salon doesn't know how to do different shapes. Come to find out, I was lied to by Van and she is still working in Livermore 2 days a week. After much back and forth, turns out she was upset with me because I came here on her day off and had another person do a color change on 4 of my nails. She interpreted that as me going behind her back. She told me in a text that I was trying to be sneaky by going in on her day off and having someone else do my nails because I didn't like the job she did and I should've gone to her directly. I don't owe you an explanation, this is not personal. This is about me or anyone else having the right to go in there on any day that they want to get something fixed. If Van was there, I most certainly would've had her fix it but she wasn't and I was on a time crunch. Talk about petty, juvenile behavior. Are they running a business or a high school? If you read previous reviews, you will see that this is a pattern and Van has done this before! These people are crazy and completely ridiculous and I will never step foot in that salon again. read more

Went here today and got a great pedicure!! They put the most awesomest stuff on your toes..One time i got pink polkadots and this time I got lavender toes with white and purple flowers..Only 20 bucks!! However, they do try to hustle you..which is normal. My eyebrows do look kinda shabby but I thought I would wait to have them done by my girlfriend for free. I told the girl "no thanks" but she kept hustlin me! I finally settled for a mustache wax being that mine was pretty bad. But I really would have appreciated it if they would have backed off when I said no in the first place. All in all things were great. They fit me in fast, did a great job and didn't talk much trash..as far as I could detect. LOL read more

This was my first time here and I'm glad I came. Van did an excellent job on my Disney themed nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said it wouldn't be a problem. They use LED lights for their shellac, which I like better than the UV ones. I had an appointment at 9:30, when the shop opens, but they didn't show up until 9:45. They apologized for being late and saw me right away. I'm still glad I made the appointment because it was filling up as soon as they opened. I have to update my review, I've never had too before. As I mentioned in my original review Van does a wonderful job and I was happy with the variety offered, they're just pricey. The owner is ridiculously rude, I've had a few issues with her, #1 being pricing. The price on their boards do not reflect the price she sets per customer. My last visit, I wanted a gel color change, no manicure. So with the $5 removal fee and tip it still came out to be about $40 bucks!! How is that even possible? I questioned the owner about the prices on the board and she did not like that. The next time I call for an appointment I book one for Wednesday at 11:30, as soon as I say what my name was, the lady hollers something in a different language then comes back to the phone and says oh actually we are all booked. I said ok well what's the openings I'll take another time. She wouldn't give me a time she said I'll take your number and call you back, then the owner hops on the phone and says "well you don't like our prices so we will just call you when we have openings". WOW just WOW, pretty hurtful. Don't question them about the prices they have listed for plain sight or they will discriminate! So alright, I get the hint, back to my old spot where the colors are the same but the ladies are and the service is friendly! read more

Le and the girls are AWESOME!! They do an excellent job whether it's a manicure or pedicure or both. Not to mention very nice and friendly gals. Myself, I get fake nails and for the longest time I only insisted on using silk but Le talked me into trying gel...and I've been hooked since.
