I bought two milkweed plants from Monarca because I had a Monarch caterpillar baby boom -- 22 of…read morethem at one time and they had stripped the milkweeds I had. But there must've been some pesticide overspray on the plants from Monarca because my caterpillars all died. I watched some of them twitching violently before they died. I visited this nursery once before and was impressed by the large number of milkweed plants in stock. The owner even showed me a green Monarch chrysalis that was attached ito a piece of drip tubing. I didn't even think about the pesticide aspect until my caterpillars died. If you don't care whether or not they use pesticides then sho here but if you're trying to raise Monarch caterpillars, then you should go contact the people at This Is a Monarchy, which is up in Thousand Oaks. These people are very careful even about the fertilizer they use and use zero pesticides. You have to call them and make an appointment because it's a private residence. They're the ones who told me what probably happened to my poor caterpillars. I still feel bad about them!

Grab a wagon and load up because you won't know when to stop with some many great plants, deals on supplies and their inviting layout. As a small chain of garden centers meets plant nurseries I have to say this location stands out. Their online shop is easy also with get learning materials, newsletters , resources and even a plant library. I'll never forget my first trip here with my friend Sam, definitely need to hit her up again for a plant day, but absolutely still enjoy coming here with others and of course solo for some planty self-care. Adding some Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra) friends to the plant family at home. Absolutely and 818/SFV/LA Valley favorite among many. You'll want to get lost between the many areas the have here and in the main area as well as their extended open air garden on the parking lot side. Staff here is very personable and extremely knowledgeable. From lawn and outdoor patio furniture or fixtures, fountains, decorations and plant care musts, GTN has a bit of it all. Even fun seasonal items and sales. Entrance in back, where you'll also find their parking lot, fairly spacious, but it can and does fill up on weekends. Restroom available for customers.

I am cutting it down and want to replace it right away. Called Exotic Garden and Jimmy the owner is ordering our new lemon tree with fruit already on it. Jimmy has a been the owner for over 15 years. He has his Gardening contractor's license and is full of knowledge. He has the soil recommendations and fertilizer that will keep all of your fruit trees happy. They have a full selection of Palm trees, privacy bushes, hedges, succulents and decorative plants. Exotic garden is very large and the trees and bushes go a long way. Look at my photos. I Yelped nurseries that were open mid afternoon on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised that they were still open. I met Ryan and Carlos who were helpful in my search. Carlos showed me the different roses they had and I was so happy to find the last beautiful and fragrant rose Julio Iglesias! He taught me how to cut roses which I thought was nice of him.
