Today I was looking at kids' books and there was a clerk stocking shelves within my sight. After a minute he said hello so I turned and asked if he was speaking to me and he said no, he was speaking to the man who just walked in the door. So apparently he can see a guy 40 feet away but not an older woman 5 feet away. Sigh.... Oh and after asking another clerk I found they didn't have what I wanted anyway.

This location is convenient to pickup beach towels or chairs if you plan to visit Sebago Lake State Park (20 minute drive away on Route 302). This Reny's was a surprisingly large store with two levels and had many products made in Maine. On the first floor, we picked up 2 bags of Fox Family Potato Chips (Salt and Pepper; Wicked Hot BBQ) before leaving the state of Maine. I wish we had purchased 5 more bags as the chips were delicious (potato flavor and not overly seasoned). Service was friendly and the checkout line was relatively short. The prices were comparable to what you might pay at a grocery store like a Hannaford. Overall, I think every visitor should stop by a Reny's at least one time to experience this unique Maine store!

I stood at the checkout patiently, I know the staff saw me and after a long wait, someone finally asked me if I needed help. I had placed items for purchase on the counter. I mentioned yes I would like to shop items in the locked glass cases. While shopping apparently a lady who seemed to be in charge was busy talking phone calls (behind the counter), glanced at me as if I, as a customer, was an annoyance. Still, I waited patiently. Another issue for the staff seemed to be a pending delivery at the back door. Who should be available when the delivery person arrived. Meanwhile, I stood there apparently invisible. When I was finally helped, the lady who helped me was very nice. Checkout was slow and tedious. It seemed as if actually selling items was also a chore and a bother. Today, back home I would have enjoyed buying additional items; however, I live in Florida. I called ti inquire about online purchases. Nope came the reply with the same irrigation received in person. She then watched as I spent 15 minutes shopping and picking things out, and then rudely told me, after she watched me try to open a fitting room at 6:45, that she closed the fitting room at 6:30 for sanitizing. What? That is a closing job and takes all of a minute. The next store I went to had their rooms open until 7. They lost all my business that night. So unnecessary and rude.
