This is a post about the Jr department sales clerk, GAIL, who took it upon herself to negate my price adjustment/return today with her poor attitude and condescending words. A few weeks ago, I purchased several jr clothing items off the clearance rack for $1.99 and noticed the price marked IN RED on the ticket did not reflect on my receipt. 5 pairs of Wallflower overalls all rang up $1.99 except one pair and so, I stopped by the EASTON store to address it with the clerk, GAIL. I explained what happened and the first words out of her mouth were "these are Wallflowers and they never get reduced" followed by "there's no way to give you a price adjustment without seeing ALL the other wallflower overalls", followed by "why do you want to see a manager, she's going to tell you the same thing", followed by "there's nothing we can do" followed by "we don't ink the price in RED" blah, blah, blah. In the meantime, the department manager watched her and let her treat a GOOD customer in this manner and wouldn't share HER name because she didn't say anything wrong!! Who allows this clerk to treat customers this way? The asst mgr arrived and made the price adjustment but not w/o squaring it with the dept mgr first. Unacceptable, GAIL. You need a refreshment course in customer service and interactional training to better address a complaint with a customer.

I'm hanging up the dress, along with 9 other clothes to try on (since it's 10 pieces of clothing allowed at a time), and she walks over to me about to give me a fitting room number key or whatever, proceeds to ask me if I was "sure" if I wanted to try on the brown dress. First of all, why wouldn't I be sure about trying on a dress I liked? I said "yes ma'am, I really like the color" and she says "I don't think it matches your skin tone". I was like "tf? Who does this bitch think she is?" Then I realized the dress wasn't the correct size, l told her I changed my mind about the dress and she said "okay, between you and me, I don't think it would've looked good on you anyway since you're skin is so white". I swear I wanted to punch that woman, but I held it in, angrily told her that I don't wanna try on anything else, hung up the rest of the jeans and asked for her name. She gave the me the name, I went up to the cashier, asked for the store manager and she comes up, I reported the incident (it's my fault I should've recorded the whole thing) and told the store manager "I used to work at Target and I would NEVER speak like that to a customer. even if it was a plus size woman trying on a XS bikini set" She apologized, thanked me and walked away. Told them I spoke to someone who told me that take that size and they said, "sorry, they were wrong". Second time this has happened; first time was with furniture. This manager needs training on how to deal with HUMAN BEINGS, especially the elderly w/ disability of any kind. My mom went into store on Friday 6/28/24 w/ her emotional support dog (yorkie/poodle, 4lbs, very tiny) and after my mom spent quite a bit of time in store collecting the items she was going to purchase, manager had followed her around the last 10min before kicking my mom out. My mother was told that only service dogs were allowed to be in store w/ owner and emotional support dog was not sufficient enough. After my mother shared that her dog was an emotional support dog, she persisted in asking my mom about her disability (if any and what kind). This seems like a huge violation to be asking what disability y mother has whether service or emotional support dog. You should never ask a persons diagnosis in either case, hence why papers/forms are completed properly and tags are provided to such animals and owners. My mother just froze after panicking out of fear she'd get in trouble (being Hispanic and speaks clear English), she left her things and walked out. As soon as she got in her car she brokedown crying and felt humiliated by the demeanor and conduct in which manager had approached her. I just found out about it right now! Being part of my job to advocate for people throughout many years in a nonprofit myself in the social service field, I felt it only right that I advocate for my mother as well and let others know about this particular Salvation Army right in Quakertown 309 and Pumping Station Rd. Suggestions: -have clear policies on your store website defining what dogs/pets are allowed into store and why that particular one. -train your staff especially managers on how to be more sensitive towards the population they serve and cultural awareness and beyond. If you aren't a people person and it's just another job, perhaps you're in the wrong place. Don't violate people's rights in asking them their personal health issues that are not your concern. You represent a nonprofit therefore are a reflection of their leaders, staff, mission, vision and it's not just local or state, it's nationally. I am appalled, baffled, embarrassed for my mom and anyone that goes into that store that are of a vulnerable population no matter what community you're visiting from. You don't know peoples stories or life experiences, even journey to than disrespect them. My opinion and fact of my mother's situation made worse!
