I have only one thing to say about T-Caf: J'ADORE! T-Caf is one of the most charming places you can find in Scott's Addition! This French cafe/tearoom makes this Richmond girl's heart (and tummy) happy. As a tea fiend, I love that they have a huge selection of teas to pick from. I really enjoy their organic five peaks and organic earl grey here. In true tea fashion, they offer cream, honey, or sugar to compliment your tea too! My favorite part about this shop is the mix and match aesthetic. The furniture is all different and so are the cups and dishes. I collect vintage tea cups and swoon over the tea cups they have here. The owners are so lovely and sweet! They'll even let you practice your French with them. This is a great place to take your Mom or Grandma, but it's also a great spot to cowork too! It's intimate and quiet enough for both activities. Looking for a small bite? The canapé crevette avocat coriandre and canapé roquefort poire are so delightful and yummy! The creme caramel is tasty too. I highly recommend this spot!

It's always a joy to find another tea room in the city! Evidently this one has been open for awhile, wonder if wonders!! Located in the Scott's Addition area, this eclectic French style cafe/tearoom had a welcoming exterior with its bright yellow brick facade beckoning us inside! The interior was sort of a hodge podge of old and new furniture, little tables here and there, some couch level, others regular tables, and still others nestled in cozy corners. Their were some nooks with two Queen Anne chairs and a tiny teak table, some brocade settees and leather sofas, some rattan chairs with glass tables, occasional chairs in various fabrics encircling a cool table topped with old vinyl records! Anywhere you choose to sit has a fabulous view of modern paintings and interesting retro décor. There's a QR code to scan for the menu. And what a diverse menu it was! From crepes, to quiches, canapés to tartines, viennoiseries and true French Toast... you're bound to find something here to delight your palate! We chose the Quiche Lorraine, Quiche poulet poivron with side salads. Incredible and exquisitely edible! The quiche was amazing... flaky crust, rich egg filling with savory cheese and bacon. The salad of tomato, cucumber, avocado, and arugula had the most wonderfully tangy dressing/sauce I've ever tasted! A mixture of orange, lemon, dill, honey and olive oil. So refreshing and light! The desserts are to die for! I had the gateau à l'orange cake and it was delectable, dense and tasty! My friend had the creme caramel which she found just ok! I want to go back for their croissants! The tea and coffee menus are extensive! We chose the Earl Grey tea, but here you can certainly be more adventurous as the selections are varied and intriguing! The teacups were gorgeous and brought on lovely trays by the owner's young boys. They were so polite and hospitable! The service was a smidgen slow but so worth the wait & also meticulous and kind. The French chef, Maggy, also served us and she was so sweet and personable. So expect to relax and lounge and don't be in a hurry... it's like you are on European time! And it's amazing! The owner Théodore (I hope I spelled that correctly) has an interesting story as to how he came to settle in RVA! The restroom was immaculate and the brass faucet blew my mind! The whole building is rather old, so these cool furnishings and fixtures just add the the vintage vibe. This place will definitely be one of my regular haunts... as a matter of fact, I'm craving it right now!! Postscript: I did go back today! I had a repeat performance of my previous meal and it was even more exquisite than before! We also shared the avocado & egg on French bread and it was remarkably good! We added a pain au chocolat for dessert and it was buttery, chocolatey, and fabulous! I also ordered 3 plain croissants to go - a must have!! Trust me!! We also ordered a black cold tea - it was a lapsang souchong which was an organic smoked tea... as the menu states, it's an acquired taste. It tastes like a bonfire smells, smooth and smoky. We preferred the bergamot hints of the Earl Grey but it was fun to try something new! Impeccable service and food! And I love the dreamy French music in the background! Oui oui!! Viva la France!

really nice ambiance and good London fogs. Employees are incredibly kind. I hope to come here again in the future.

Croque Madame

Just stopped in here for the first time today! I had some iced black vanilla tea and a croque madame with potatoes and it was AMAZING! The staff and owner were all so welcoming and kind, and the whole experience felt so personable and cozy. They have couches/chairs or tables to choose from, and a section with some board games, and the overall ambience was great. The owner Nancy was very helpful with informing us on the wine options they have and she's very knowledgeable. This is definitely going to become a regularly place of mine!

All the stars! I somehow had missed this place until today, but it's officially a new favorite. In the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday, it was empty and quiet--absolute heaven for me to take a work break and read my book for a bit (in a super comfy couch, btw--no crappy metal chairs here!). This place is a MUST-visit for readers. The owner, Theodore, is lovely and made a great cappuccino for me to enjoy. They have a simple coffee/espresso drinks menu (beans from recluse, right around the corner!), and a fairly robust food menu (a necessity for coffee shops IMO) with French toast, hummus plates, tartines, and more. I truly can't wait to go back.

This place is amazing, it has so much personality - unique tea/coffee shop and such a gem - you have to stop in and just grab a drink and chill. The owner theodore (?) is great and his vision speaks through the decor and ambiance. Great place to grab a well priced drink and/or snack to read, study, or hang out. I ordered a chai tea latte with oat milk and it was delicious. The cucumber and hummus was great too along with the hot tea. Plenty of outlets too! Place just rocks.

A quaint tea (and coffee) shop in Scott's Addition. My party of 10 was looking for tea time and I'm glad I found this place. I called ahead of time to select teas and finger foods. The owner was nice and accommodating. I told him our budget and dietary restrictions and he prepared a variety of options. Our seating area was ready when we arrived and he checked on us several times. Highly recommend for working, reading, or catching up with a friend! There are 2 rooms - one filled with sunlight and the other darker. The menu on the website includes descriptions.

Quiche poulet poivron & croissant fromage -Turkey

I found this gem while visiting Richmond for the weekend, and I'll definitely return the next time I'm in town. It was the best food that I had the entire trip, and sipping their amazing tea was a nice, relaxing way to spend a snowy Sunday afternoon. The service was also friendly and accommodating. I wish that I lived closer so I could try everything on their menu. The spinach & goat cheese quiche was delicious, with a perfectly flaky crust, and the turkey and cheese croissant was mouth-watering. We finished with a creme brûlée, baked fresh that morning, and it was so good that I wanted to order a second one. The tea selection was on point too, so both my fiancé and I were able to order a pot of each of our favorite teas.

Atmosphere felt like la a library not like a cafe. Very faint music played once in the background. Place was mostly empty. Food took over 45 minutes to arrive, portions were very small. Service was good extremely slow, we got coffee after 15 minutes of ordering then waited 5 minutes for sugar and creamer, then after a half he we got the French toast which was tiny. All food was served on dessert plates (the 3 French toast pieces fit on one plate!). We then waited another 5 minutes for the waitress to bring the syrup then another 5 minutes for the rest of our order. On the plus side, it's got fun eclectic furniture. And my avocado toast was tasty.

What a charming place! I felt like I had been transported to a European country! The tea and bites were delicious. Very relaxed friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back. A great place to take a friend or parent.

If your reading this review you can stop here and just go to this adorable place!!! It's the newest and greatest place I've been to in Richmond in forever!! This lovely brand new tea and coffee shop used to be a vintage furniture shop, and the interior echos that history with an impressive collection of comfy chairs and cozy corners. It's an intimate place to have a date or catch up with a friend, or escape with a book! I was fortunate to get to talk to the owner for a while and he has an incredible story, and is so kind. The tea, coffee, and pastries we had were delicious, and I genuinely can't wait to go back!

Came for tea and small bites with a friend. A nice jazzy soundtrack played in the background to create a relaxing atmosphere. They have an eclectic selection of seating which we found fun and welcoming. Staff was friendly and they have a wonderful selection of teas as well as little snacks. Our open face sandwiches (which I believe they call sofas) were fresh and delightful. The cookies had a nice crispness perfect for accompanying tea. The real highlight was my matcha cream crepe. Crepes are hard to come by in Richmond so I was excited to see them on the menu. I will certainly be back. A nice place to hang with a friend or do a little reading/journaling.

Croissant Fromage - Turkey

What an adorable place for tea aficionados! Very chill cafe vibe with eclectic chairs to match. The service can be a little slow, so whenever you do have the server's attention, place your order! They have a ton of different teas and really tasty foods to snack on. I got the ricotta and pear tartine and the croissant fromage - turkey. Both were very good, but the croissant was *chef's kiss* perfection. Even as a tea fan, their tea menu was a bit overwhelming - I had no idea where to start, but our server helped guide us. I unfortunately can't recall which tea I got (whoops) but it was good. Excited to return and try more!

I'd recommend their trout meunière or steak frites. Though they're not cheap, with entrees starting in the 30s, I think their portions are pretty generous. The plating itself is a bit dated and could use some refinement. Overall, if you're looking for a classic elevated dinner experience, Chez Foushee would be a good bet.
