We have dined here more times than we can count over the last few years and for good reason. Their seasonal region-focused menu never misses the mark. Our all time favorites have been the harissa cauliflower, bao buns, and cachapas. The tacos and rajas con crema, both on the current menu, are spot on! The desserts and rotating specials are all to die for, we've continually changed our "favorite dessert" (of all time, not just from here) every time we try a new dessert - the pistachio pie, polish cake, carrot cake, and most recent the sticky sweet potato cake are all 1000/10 amazing. Happy hour is always fun, great specials, drinks for everyone including fun and yummy NA mocktails. Everything Blue Atlas does is thoughtfully considered and curated. Their service is top tier. Some of our favorite humans to interact with have been Emily and Stirling, but there are so many other awesome humans there whose names are escaping me now. We've never had even a touch of bad service. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough -- a gem of all gems!

Everything is made fresh in house with organic ingredients. I had a cranberry bacon scone and oh my gosh it was divine. It was moist, had beautiful layers, and paired beautifully with the Devonshire butter. The warmed scone came with my soup flight. Yup! I said SOUP FLIGHT! I had the harvest soup, lemon chicken orzo, and tomato basil. The harvest was my favorite. It had the perfect balance of fall flavors. The lemon chicken orzo was also flavorful, the chicken was tender, and the orzo was cooked perfectly. The tomato basil was also delicious. It wasn't overly salted or too heavy which I often find when having soup at other establishments. Their quiches are all gluten free which I can't wait to try next time. They also have chicken salad and several other selections to choose from. There are a ton of teas to try too; either hot or cold. Plus they have over ninety teas you can purchase too! They have two bathrooms that are just as adorable as the dining area. They also have a prayer room and a selfie wall! If you're a breastfeeding parent it could also double as a lactation room which is incredibly helpful. They truly thought of everything. Parking is easy as it's in a strip mall. There's plenty of seating or you can take your food to go. They have high chairs available as well as children's books. Right next door is Kips tea room which I can't wait to try in the future too. Kip was equally wonderful. Kip and Erin are a dynamic duo of warmth and you can tell that everything is made with love! Check this local business out!

The decor is warm and inviting, with little nooks for selfies, moments of reflection, or work or read! I came with a friend, no reservations required, and the food case was full of delectable choices, (Tea with Kip next door provides her menu selections) and we had a hard time deciding from the yummy offerings! There were 2 soups, ham & bean and a butternut chicken (friendship soup), quiche, a spinach wrap, a roast beef sandwich, several salad choices, along with a variety of scones, muffins and danishes! Our meal was scrumptious and the tea was delish. We chose the Earl Greyer and can't wait to go back to try the plethora of other flavors! The tea shop was beautifully appointed and we had a wonderful time! I can't wait til next tea time!

This is one of the cafes that open till 11:30 pm, so it's a good place for late night hangouts. We got there around 9:30pm, and the cafe was still lively and busy. The vibes were really good in the cafe; they have a hookah lounge and a pool table and everyone seemed chill. They seem to have a lot of pastries and cakes. The double chocolate cake we got was good. It wasn't super chocolate-ty. But it wasn't super sweet either, which I liked. I got iced caramel macchiato and it was great! Not super sweet like the Starbucks one, but I can tell the espresso is good quality.

They have a pool table, which was surprising and I wasn't sure if we could use that. One other couple came after a bit. I think if it were full, it would have been really nice. Husband got a double espresso and I ordered an Americano. His was in a cute cup, but mine was in a to-go cup with a lid. Since we were sitting in, I would have preferred a nice mug. We ordered a few pastries to bring home. I presume it was the owner working and he was very welcoming. He was cleaning the entire time (9am ish). On the positive, the place looks spotless. I did feel it was a little odd to mop while open and in the morning. The chocolate pastry in this picture was 10/10 for me, so good! It had so much flavor and texture with chocolate, pistachio and maybe some caramel. Would definitely go back, particularly to get items to take home.

Their hotdogs are juicy & full of flavor. My husband is still talking about their hotdogs a day later & how we have to go back again[this was his first visit]. The Green tea shot was so smooth, I definitely recommend trying it If shots are your forte & even if they are not. I am not a shot person but I really enjoyed this particular drink. I definitely recommend Black Lodge if you enjoy a very casual, laid back bar/cafe type of restaurant that has food & drinks that are very upscale but reasonably priced.
