I cooked the tri-tip tonight that I purchased earlier in the week. I marinated the meat for 24 hours using a teriyaki marinade I purchased from Oishii Teriyaki in Auburn. Finally, a local meat shop to save me a trip into Roseville. Before I describe this business, there is one thing I need to mention... In Yelp (as of 8/1/23) they list the address as being on 13284 Robles Dr in the LOP area, it's actually a couple of miles north on the corner of Combie Rd and Magnolia Rd in the shopping center on the SE Corner @ 10943 Combie Rd, Suite 12. BTW, Google maps shows it in that location but Yelp hasn't caught up. OK, now on with the review; yes they are open in this location!!! They are still in the process of getting their inventory built up but have just about any cut one ever could want. From an extensive selection house made bratwurst to seafood, fresh cuts of meat to marinated try-tips. You won't be disappointed in their selections of meats. I work in folsom but just moved to auburn (lake of the pines) just this week alone I had 3 clients actually 2 who live on folsom the other lives in auburn, try this place out they said.. This is the best butcher shop in the area. We drive from Colfax because of the quality of meat and great service.

Unfortunately I was not impressed by the quality of some NY steaks i purchased there. They looked great but were very tough. I don't think it was the prep because I also cooked a couple of big box store steaks at the same time and they turned out nice and tender. I don't mind paying a premium price for a good product. In fact, I expect to pay more but I won't go back again when something like this happens. Very disappointing. I had high hopes for this local store. read more

Incredible cuts of meat they have marinated meat that is absolutely delicious. You have to cook it and if you're not sure how to cook it, you can ask them and they will tell you how to cook it. They have premade foods. The staff is extremely friendly courteous. It is very very clean. They're very particular how they serve their items up to you, and they wrap it in a most excellent way. I've been waiting anxiously for this shop to open. It did not disappoint. It's a clean nicely organized place very close to my home. I bought a few rib eye steaks to grill. I haven't had meat that tasted this good in years. We had quite a feast, thoroughly enjoying our meal. The butcher I worked with during my purchase was knowledgeable and very pleasant. I'll definitely return for some other yummy treats. Some may balk at the price but I paid $20 for a steak from a local market that was smaller and tough. The steak I bought from T bone was nearly twice the size and it was around $28. I'd pay the extra money for it hands down. read more

We just visited last weekend for the first time. Staff was immediately attentive, but also patient while I figured out what I wanted. I finally settled for an amazing fresh cut Porterhouse steak that was one of THE best I've ever had. The store had a nice selection of other cuts of meat, along with pre packaged items and accoutrements. They also do fresh to-go BBQ specials on the weekend(haven't tried yet). The store is a bit out of town, but I assure you it's well worth the 15 minute drive from downtown Auburn. So glad to have a good meat market again! read more

We had our steer butchered here last November 2021 since all the other butchers were too busy. Well, now we know why this outfit was available. The ribeyes and tbones we got are cut so bad that they had to flap the meat over to achieve thickness. These steaks are not scored like they should be for a nice thick cut and they are the worst steaks we've ever seen come out of a custom meat shop. Look at the pictures and you will see that the edges are tapered and flapped over. I can't achieve an even medium rare cook because the flap edge will cook through to well done first. All of our steaks are cut there way and we're just so disappointed. read more

I had t bones meat take my order they screwed it up so bad ill never go back to that butcher shop again gave them the benefit of the doubt but they continue to give poor service and not listen what there customers want i asked them to smoke my pork chops and couldnt perform a simple task its not the first time they have done this. There always apolgetic and offer you to buy usda meat to substitue but you can buy that crap at WINCO nothing beats farm raised meat but after the third time of messing up my order tbones needs a management change or more educated staff that can follow directions. read more
