I had to get the guy to fix it 3 times to get it a bit decent but check out the picture. I was looking for a barber for my son, after his awesome experience in L.A. After searching for male barbers on Yelp!, I noticed that T & T Barber Hairstyling was open on MLK day and decided to give it a try. The wait wasn't long at all! Five minutes and my son was seated. The woman barber cut my son's hair and we were kind of worried, as she couldn't place his line--the male had to do it. Although we asked for a 'skin fade', we noticed that it wasn't what we expected--the cut was still too high for a standard skin fade, or at least what we experienced in another barber shop in L.A. (Now we know how fortunate we were to get a spot there and for only $25!) In the end, we appreciated their kindness and availability. read more

Friday June 24, 2022 is the first time that I am coming here for a haircut. A coworker/friend from Diagnostic Laboratory Services told me to come here as he had his haircut from here before. There is only 4 parking stalls in front of their place and to the right of them. The guy from the small store to the left of them will come out and tell you to pull all the way up to the curb. So, as to not block the sidewalk behind you. After, that I went inside to see that there is a guy and a girl working. The guy was cutting an old man's hair. The girl told me to sit in the chair and she can cut my hair right now. How nice! I looked above the mirror and there is pictures of hairstyles and numbers for each picture. I told her, the number 1 please. She said, thank you for coming here for the first time. After, if you like your haircut to please come back again. She was fast and she did a very good job! I will come back again! Today, my haircut was only $16.00 and with tax it was only $16.75. They have a sign outside across the street $16.00 and walk ins welcomed. I walked in and walked out happy too! I shared with other coworkers/friends as they are always looking for a good haircut place to go to. Kaimuki, Kaneohe, Waipahu and other places around the island. I've been searching near and far for a good barber at an affordable price and this is the place to go! Located in Liliha a little down from McDonalds next to a little mom and pop store is where it's located. I got my little shave on for only $10, $15 with tip. I walked in on a Monday, he even lined me up! God I can't tell you how happy I am! He even evened out my part from where my long hair starts it was a little off and I'm glad he was able to fix it. Sooooo happy! It's clean, there's air conditioning , there's three parking stalls to park, their hours are good, and they're open 6 days a week, Sunday's they're off. When she was ready she told me she was ready so I sat down. She then waxed and then plucked whatever hair was left over as she was plucking she nipped my fucking skin. The whole time I felt like she didn't even want to be waxing in the first place. And then that happened. I felt very uncomfortable and I will not be returning again. My normal Barber was out of town and needed to have my hair cut due the humid weather we been having so I went on yelp to find a near by Barber. Came across T&T as one nearest me. Read some the reviews on yelp and I thought to give it a try and was in desperate need to have a hair cut. I did a walk in since it was about an hour out from them closing and was taken in right away. Told a guy which I believe was the owner whom I forgot his name how I wanted my hair cut. I called ahead to get a haircut and when i pulled up i noticed a sign saying "$16 haircuts". I thought that was strange but proceeded anyway. With Tom and his wifes new shop near waikiki i seen the same new barbers/hairstylists all the time, but now i see NEWER faces. Those 2 new things i noticed off the bat shoulda been red flags. After my haircut i proceed to pay, but the lady tells me they are under a NEW OWNER and they are not currently taking credit/debit cards. So they had me go next door and go to the ATM where i get charged $3 something for a fee plus whatever my card will charge me. So i pay then go home and noticed my hair wasnt even cut even holy moly this was the worst exp i had here, by far. My husband was looking for a new place to get a haircut with razor edge. I found the yelp reviews here to be good so we figured we'd give this place a try. All the other places that do razor edge charge $40-$80!!! Although they do walk ins, I called in and got an appointment for him in 30 minutes. My husband had his hair done by Tony and loves it. If I could give more stars I would. Found this place by accident. Needed a hair cut and my normal barbershop was closed so decided to drive to work but saw this place near Liliha. Was at a stop light and helped them fast kine. Looked promising. Marked parking stalls which is convenient. Walked in and owner Tom was finishing up on one person. Got in at about 9:05am and finished at about 9:55am with both hair cut and eye brows waxed by the Mrs. Been trying to find a good convenient place that works with my schedule and 8:30-7pm Monday to Friday, closes 6pm on saturdays and closed on Sunday work for me. Tom was really patient and was a good conversationist. Made me feel like I was going to him for a while alrdy even though it was my first time. Just now I went here to get a haircut and was looking for the younger lady Daisy but she wasn't there and I lost her contact info. So the older lady gave me a haircut instead and I asked for the skin fade. It is very clear she doesn't know how to cut hair, I'm guessing she just graduated from school or something. The cut was awful and $16 for that kind of haircut is just too expensive. In the barber school in Chinatown, they only charge you $10 because you're being cut with novice hands and it still looks better than the haircut she gave me. There were two barbers an old man and old lady. The old man asked me why I was there and I said to get haircuts for three people. He then told me and my family to have a seat and the old lady will take care of us. He then played around with his cash register then left. Right after he left the old lady became a major biatch telling me that we will wait a long time because she has other customers waiting to get a haircut....how is that when you have a completely empty shop except for the person sitting in her chair? She then told me to come back tomorrow? Ridiculous...if you are fricking lazy you should just not open up...and to give attitude to customers telling me some stupid excuse that "you'll wait long time." Whatever! Don't come to this place at all...not worth the time. I've had a few places mess up my hair and eyebrows miserably whenever my regular lady goes on vacation or is busy. So she's really been the only one my whole life to cut my hair. Unfortunately the time has come for her to retire. I came here as a customer for the first time on Tuesday as I've seen such great reviews. I called to make an appointment for a haircut and wax the same day and was scheduled for the next hour. Though, after my haircut, I forgot to let them know that I also scheduled for eyebrow waxing, BUT I forgot (It was my fault) They have a few parking stalls upfront reserved for T&T customers which is very convenient. Tam greeted me and immediately seated me. We had a few short conversations, she was very friendly. She had asked me if I wanted anything in particular. I showed her the picture and knew exactly what to do. One thing I love about this place is the pricing and especially the prices for women's short hair. Most places I have looked up charge women's hair same price for all lengths long or short which I think is unfair. I had such a great first time experience and absolutely love the results. I had bad experiences all around town claiming to be the "best" and been let down with an uneven cut and basically throwing away $30 for cuts that look like trainees did it. I dropped my brother off at an interview and decided to check out the closest barber for a trim and this was the closest. They charged $16 and did better than barbers in Waikiki ( where I live). This is a very typical mom and pop business owned by a husband and wife. There was little small talk, but they were nice and professional. The place is also fairly neat for a barber shop which I appreciate. I would recommend this place for guys haircuts. I haven't had my hair cut here, but would be willing to give it a try in the future. Tom is really precise. It looks like he inspects the length of every piece hair and won't let even one pass him by. Having a perfectionist for a barber is great and my son's hair was spick-and-span. Two things immediately impressed me: one, usually when you get a cheap haircut they are brutal with the clippers. Rough, and burning or "snipping" your neck and/or ears. And they usually just do the "buzz through" a couple times, fade it, then cut the top of your hair. Also, cheap haircuts are about speed, not perfection. Not here. She was a perfectionist, going over it several times in several angles, and she was incredibly gentle. I got my haircut by the wife, but also watched the husband give one. They both did it with passion, and attention to detail. They don't really talk all that much, besides a little small talk. That is ok with me. I prefer to just relax and close my eyes. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars, is because my gf got her eyebrows waxed. She had it done by another employee who was a woman. The person never asked what shape she wanted, left wax on her brow, and the ended up slightly crooked. Best price I found in town, and way more professional than Supercuts. Highly recommended for a haircut, maybe not so much for the waxing. read more

Finally was able to get my haircut since this pandemic started. Normally I go to Supercuts, but they are not open yet and Fantastic Sams wasn't answering. Looked up reviews and this place seemed to have pretty good reviews so called and was able to get an appointment within half an hour, I live close by. Few parking stalls in front but wasn't crowded. Had to sign a waver regarding illness etc. Got taken almost immediately. I believe there were 3 chairs in one wall and 1 on the other. Middle of the 3 was not used, giving good social distance. The guy cutting my hair looks like he was having a little bit of a hard time, not his fault as my hair is difficult and a little bit of a language barrier, but he took his time, not rushing. He did a great job and both me and my wife likes the final product. Definitely recommend and will be back! read more
