Only Man Weave barber on Island worth going to. Julie is extremely talented and the only one on the island that has outstanding hair unit service. The man unit she installed made me look and feel more than ten years younger. Her services are worth every penny. She's extremely professional and offers you privacy in her personal shop. She does everything with finesse and I highly recommend her for anyone who is losing hair. Her work is worth every penny. read more

Julie is on point and has been taking care of me for the last 18 months. I found her when she was at Mojo's and never looked back. I had been paying $13 at the mall for a haircut and it looked like I was paying $13 for a haircut. :/ My wife recommended that I find a legit barber and I'm so glad that I did. I'm paying more than $13, but Julie is the only person that I would trust with my hair and beard now. She really takes time to ensure that everything is 100% I've also found that a quality haircut looks better between cuts, allowing me to squeeze a week to 10 days longer between cuts than I was before. The only downside is that now that my hair is on point, my boys want Julie to hook them up, too. His Image is the place for high quality men's haircuts and beard shaping and trims. Like, people will stop you and ask you who cuts your hair...for real. read more

I have been going to Julie even before she opened "His Image Gentlemen's Grooming Studio". She already gave quality haircuts and great service and now with her own place of business she turned it up a notch with her creativity and all the services and products she offers. She takes the time to get to know you and what you want to the point here I can sit down and say "do something different" and each time I am happily impressed. If you go to her just once you will see what I see and will continue to be a loyal customer. read more

Long story short, get your hairstyling needs here. Julie is polite, professional and excellent at her craft. Long story, been searching for a barber for over a year. I get straight razor shaves both head and face. Have been to the bigger names in town and not satisfied. Julie provided the high quality shavreI had been searching for. I even fell asleep several times because it was so relaxing. The only draw back is parking. Bring coins, Julie is accommodating and helps you time your hair style so you can extend parking or ve done. Despite this one drawback it is well worth it to make an appoinment with Julie. read more

Where do I begin? First, I will say that not only is Julie an amazing barber with fantastic skill, she is the most wonderful person you'll ever meet! I first met Julie when she was back at Mojo's and I have been with her ever since. With so many bad experiences with hair stylists in the past, I have a hard time trusting anyone with my hair, but I have absolute 200% trust in Julie and her skills. She takes the time to listen to what you want and will make sure you get it. If you have a picture of what you want, she can do it. She also offers a wide range of services as well and has an online scheduler which is so convenient. I have a busy work schedule and it makes it so much easier for me to schedule my cuts. Her scheduler also gives you the option to pay at the time of scheduling so all you have to do is show up and she will take care of the rest! Her confirmation email also gives you detailed directions to find her studio so don't worry if it is your first time. Julie goes above and beyond in her services and I recommend her highly to anyone looking to get the best cut for a great price. I even convinced my boyfriend to go to her instead of his barber in Kapolei, and he loves her too! Sadly, me and my boyfriend are moving to Orlando, Florida in August, which gives me haircut anxiety because I won't be able to go to Julie =[ , but Julie is so awesome that she sent me suggestions for barbers in Orlando. She is, by far, the best barber on the island and if you're looking for your next barber, look no further because Julie is the one Update: I had been waiting for Julie to offer the eyebrow waxing service, and no surprise, it was everything I had been waiting for. For guys who have been scared of trying eyebrow waxing out of fear that it will detract from their masculinity, have no fear. Julie is a master in her craft. She did what other salon technicians failed at; which was clean my eyebrows up without taking down the thickness. If you want the extra edge to kick your fresh cut up just that much further, then I highly recommend that you add the eyebrow service! read more

Julie is truly amazing at what she does!! Best on the island!! If your looking for a great cut then she's your girl. It doesn't hurt that she's a pretty awesome person as well. Mahalo for the fresh fade!! read more

I have been goin to a hairstylist for several years and was looking for a change. I got a haircut at Premier Barbershop and for me, the environment was a bit intense and intimidating. Not saying that's a bad thing but just not my scene. The haircut was ok, not amazing though for the price. I was looking for a more relaxed environment and after searching on Google, it seemed like His Image might be a better fit. I also really liked Julie's work based on the photos on her Yelp page. Julie was super nice and her studio was super relaxing. A completely different environment than the other barber shops. I instantly felt way more comfortable. My haircut was the best one I've ever had. I showed her a pic of what I wanted and it came out so good. Most of the time I don't really get what I want. Sometimes it's way off. But Julie is the best I've had and she's super chill and very easy to work with. Highly recommended. read more

No where else I'd rather go to get a haircut than at His Image with Julie! Couple years ago I heard about the freshest haircuts from Julie, back when she was at Mojo Barbershop, so I decided to try it out and ever since then Julie has been my go to barber from her time at Mojo Barbershop to now at her own studio His Image! I'm truly glad I found what I wanted in a barber shop: Professional cut (attention to detail is amazing), comfortable atmosphere with a fun/awesome barber (from Julie's down to earth and bubbly personality), with a hip/modern interior to the shop. And if that is what you're looking for than look no further, go check it out! read more

Best haircuts of my life hands down. Julie is a wonder woman when it comes to making all different kinds of hair look good. My hair was past my shoulder, curly but pretty dead from all the sun from surfing. To keep my hair back in a bun I had shaved the sides of my head. Julie was able to take that shaving on the side and fade it up into a nice short haircut, and made it look great. She really takes her time to make sure your haircut is perfect so it is a little more expensive than some places but not much. It is 100% worth it. Nice atmosphere as well. read more

Julie is IT plain and simple. Came in here looking towed up, left feeling like a million bucks and on cloud 9. A week later Im still on cloud 9. Did not know my hair could look the way it does now! Ive found my forever barber! read more

Julie is an absolutely wonderful person and barber! Followed her from Mojo's and love His Image. Julie is the only person I see to take care of my hair grooming needs. I always get the "Gentlemen's Premium Haircut" which I highly recommend! On top of getting a traditional cut, you get a head massaging shampoo and conditioning and hot towel treatment for your face! It is incredibly relaxing so don't be surprised if you nod off during it. As well as a razor lineup and styling before you are on your way to tackle to day feeling and looking good. Today, I also got the straight razor shave for the very first time and to no surprise, it was top quality. I may have dozed off for a bit during it because it was so relaxing. I prefer rocking facial hair over the baby face look but decided to change it up for a bit and not disappointed at all. It's probably been close to a year since I was last clean shaven and I may end up rocking this look for a bit. To close out this review: Julie puts in the time to give every client exactly what they want. She treats everyone with incredible kindness and respect and plays some rad tunes. I recommend anyone looking at coming to see Julie for their first time to definitely do it. You won't be disappointed! read more

This was my first time at His Image Studio and I have to say Julie was awesome. She took me right in at my appointment time. Most barbershops and hairstyling places make me wait 30 mins to an hour so this was a plus for me. She also did it the way I explained it, perfectly! I love my hair cut, going back again. Customer for life! Thanks again Julie! read more

Julie is amazing, extremely talented and consummately professional. She absolutely nailed what I was after in spite of my probably vague and unhelpful descriptions, just let her go and magic happens. A first rate experience through and through! read more

I've been going to Julie for almost 2 years and I have loved my experience. She has helped me through various changes to my hair and the styling and maintenance of my beard. My monthly visits to His Image is a great escape and my turn to relax and take care of myself. I only trust Julie with my hair and beard and highly recommend His Image Studio to anyone! Amazing work! read more

I've always been happy with my haircuts with Julie. She's professional and terrific with fades. I don't trust just any barber with my hair. I'm black and not all barbers are familiar with how to cut my hair type, but I feel comfortable with Julie and get compliments when I go with her service. read more

What can I say, "His Image" is one of a kind! Julie has a true talent and love for the craft, and "His Image Studio" combines the traditional feel of a barbershop with the modern world. I recommend you go all out and get the shampoo, hot towel, and shave along with your haircut. You will not leave disappointed! read more

Julie is truly the golden standard as a person and a barber. I met Julie back when she was still working at Mojo's and was gifted with one of the best haircuts I've ever received. Naturally, when she left Mojo's to pursue her private venture into haircutting (His Image Studio), I followed along with many of her other existing clients and I haven't looked back since. Her website scheduler makes setting up an appointment a breeze. It shows her availability on specific days which makes it convenient to plan it around my schedule or vice versa. After booking an appointment, detailed instructions are given to help you find your way to the studio and reminder emails are sent out before your appointment, which is nice for forgetful folks. Now, onto the haircut! Julie will take time before starting the haircut to discuss the style you want, if you want the look to be achieved with or without hair products, and other seemingly minor details which make all the difference. Her attention to detail is unparalleled and she discusses potential issues or considerations about the desired hairstyle that other barbers tend to gloss over or ignore entirely. I find this transparency to be extremely valuable as everyone has different hair characteristics. By providing insight based on her experience with creating similar hairstyles, Julie guides you to shaping the best possible hairstyle which is, simply put, tailored specifically for you. On top of having the skills to pay the bills, Julie is an all-around wonderful person and an absolute joy to talk to. As corny as it sounds, the barber-customer connection is important because communication is key. Whether it's experimenting with a new hairstyle or playing it safe, I have never had an issue communicating what I want to Julie and she always executes it perfectly. I highly recommend you to schedule an appointment and give her a chance to transform your hairstyle. By becoming a patron of His Image Studio, you are not only helping yourself look better, but also supporting a very hardworking and deserving individual. It's rare to find someone so passionate about their profession and who receives genuine happiness from making others happy. Thank you Julie for the awesome work! read more
