The second time, I just had them pull up my carpet and put down hardwood for my basement stairs and LVP for the landing. I met twice with Vigan, and got superior information about alternative brands and product lines relative to several competitors. He made the process easy in terms of listening carefully and addressing my needs and concerns, providing me with multiple samples to enable me to finalize my selection, and scheduling a measure followed by an extremely competitive quote. Despite significant issues scheduling an installer given today's labor market difficulties, Vigan ensured we got the carpet installed on our desired day. Additionally, Vladimir, our installer, worked straight through for 13 hours to ensure he was able to complete a high quality the job, and thoroughly clean up afterwards, in a day. Seeing his work first hand is very, very impressive. To find a flooring company that employees its own workers, provides excellent quality and at an affordable price is very rare nowadays. Only callbacks I get from clients is that they wish they had found Nader and his company years ago. A++++++++

We hired this store for flooring three times. The first two experiences were great, which is why we…read moretrusted them to install flooring in the basement of our new home. This time, we're deeply disappointed. From the beginning, we explained that the basement would be a gym with heavy equipment. We chose the flooring based on their assurance that it could handle that use. Since installation, boards have repeatedly raised, and we've had them come out multiple times to fix the problem. Now they tell us the heavy gym equipment is the cause--the very use we told them about before we bought the flooring. We went to a specialty flooring store because we expected knowledgeable guidance for our specific needs. Instead, we're left with a recurring problem and an explanation that contradicts what we were told when making the purchase. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this store. If you need expert advice for your flooring needs, I would take my business elsewhere.

First American Carpet & Rug Provided Exceptional Quality and Service…read more Lured by a military discount and rebate promotion, we endured a frustrating and time-consuming experience from Lowes Home Improvement. After multiple visits to the store and dealing with conflicting information on process and cost, we had enough and returned to First American Carpet & Rug, where we first bought and carpeted our home in 1984. Derrick competently presented us with quality carpet options and offered a great deal, including high-rated quality padding with a moisture barrier. This padding enhanced comfort extended the carpet's life, and improved insulation and soundproofing. The most rewarding aspect of working with First American was interfacing with only two people, Derrick, and the installation team, and receiving consistent information. Derrick personally visited our home to precisely measure the bedrooms, hall, and stairway. Jose, the son of Orlando who installed our carpets in 1984, led his team of experienced installers who must have exceeded industry standards and best practices. They did an outstanding job, with seams strategically placed to be inconspicuous and the carpet cut accurately around edges and obstacles, transitioning smoothly to bathroom tiles. Within an hour of project completion, Derrick made a follow-up visit to ensure the carpet met all workmanship standards. He emphasized the importance of proper stretching to avoid potential wrinkles and was pleased with the tight stretch and his precise measurements that minimized waste and ensured a perfect fit. We will always rely on First American Carpet for our flooring needs.
