T&J Nails used to be my spot, and I stopped going because a new place opened up a few doors down, and I started going there instead. What a mistake! Two years later, and I am back at T&J. I spoke to Lisa and told her I used to come, stopped, and I am back to give them another try. I told her my nails are so soft and brittle, I just want to get a regular manicure to get my nails strong again. I told her I didn't want too much of the electric drill on my nails or toes because they are so weak from overfiling. Tina said she understood and would take over my nails. Three appointments later, my nails are strong and look so much better. Wow!!! I returned to this establishment for a pedicure, manicure, & SNS removal. The customer service was decent. The disappointment came when leaving. I was charged over $70 for a pedicure and manicure. My natural nails weren't even polished. Although I appreciated the environment, I am very dissatisfied with my last visit. Please double and triple check the prices. I asked the person doing my toes how much a leg wax would be. she said $10. my sister and I were shocked at the price, so i asked again. once again, she said $10, and even verified with her that the cost would be $10. I assumed that it was because she was inexperienced. she left wax all over my leg and said it would be another $30 to remove the hair off my knees. at the register, she informed me it was $50. my sister and I were shocked. i told her she told me $10, and she claimed she never did. even though i held up ten fingers and pointed to my legs. after some resistances, i decided to pay the $50. maybe it was a miscommunication, but i'm disappointed in the communication of prices (particularly those unlisted). i'm also disappointed with how the miscommunication was handled by the staff. i'm also just disappointed in the quality of this $50 wax, which left hair and wax streaks over my lower half of my legs. overall, this was just disappointing visit. i won't be returning, especially given the MASSIVE number of shops in Mcdonough/Locust Grove that don't have these communication and quality issues. lost me as a customer! read more

As a former regular customer I can appreciate the new remodel, however, customer service and quality of service has suffered as a result. I went in for a pedicure and left with a cut on my cuticle which the technician applied glue before I realized what she was doing and then a powder which she stated was medicine? My cuticle bled a lot. I called the manager over to see and he said that the technician didn't do anything wrong so rather than argue I paid and left because I did not want to have the same experience the other reviewer had with them falsely calling the police. Extremley disappointed. I came in for an sns,gel pedicure, and eyebrows. My sns is lumpy and not what I wanted. When I commented on the matter I was told it's because my nails are too short. My nails are the same length every time I get sns. My eyebrows are thick and look undone. My toe nails are all crooked. She did my nails exactly as pictured. She reshaped the mess #5 did and just impressed the hell out of me. Not bad, but not the best SNS I have received. Perhaps I should have asked for Chi since he is mentioned in so many reviews. I found out who he was while there because he was telling the most hilarious jokes and reminding people that he is synonymous with high end hair care. T&J offers a good deal for SNS. They will give you a manicure, remove previous SNS and apply a new application all for just $30. read more

So far I have seen Cindy, Johnny, and Tammy. Each of them did very good work. They were easy to communicate with and did my nails either how I asked or how I showed them in a picture. The only knock I have on this place is that they charge you for every. single. thing! This is the Worst Nail Shop in Henry County. As a birthday gift, i treated my sister to a mani and pedi. In the meantime, the nail tech wasted nail polish all over my sisters brand new outfit. We were told that there would be no charge for service due to the inconvenience of damage that occurred to the outfit. One week later, we got a call from the Henry County police saying a warrant would be put our for an arrest for non payment. So after being told that no payment was due to the damage of the outfit we are now being threatened with an arrest. This is still an ongoing case that has not yet been resolved, however in the meantime, i can just say....I Strongly do not recommend this establishment if this is the way customers are treated. They ruin your outfit and tell you no charge and then call the cops on YOU....Go figure..... read more

First of all they began to quote prices while providing services which was rude and unnecessary. Although the people that provided the services did a great job, while paying for the services the manager became rude and stated he doesn't care about customers which is unacceptable. I have been going to this nail salon for over five years now and have always been happy with my results. I moved out of the Henry county area a few years back to Norcross and I still make the drive to have Lisa do my nails. Lisa has been my nail tech but I have brought friends and family along with me who have also had an amazing experience. Lisa always makes sure to make sure I'm happy with my experience and always keeps me up to what's going on at the spa. I can show her anything I want done (Pinterest junkie lol) and she makes it happen. Everyone at the shop is always so nice and willing to help each other (very family oriented) and the music and atmosphere is so relaxing! I chose the basic pedicure with callus remover. The liner was replaced and new tools were used. The shop stays very busy so I would suggest making an appointment. Really friendly staff and the priced properly. I had spa manicure and pedicure. I paid $32.00 without tip. The lady works pretty fast but does a pretty good job and has soft hands. The massages were nice win the 2 deluxe pedicure with sea salt to make the skin soft. They have great sense of humor and greet you with a smile. I felt impatient and walked right back out and decided to come again another day. I came back to get SNS on my nails. I've never had acrylics or gel on my nails before so needless to say I was extremely nervous. I saw Chi, who was recommended by the other Yelper and he is great! He's so funny and he doesn't go crazy with the file or damage your nails. They also have a ton of colors to choose from, just tell him what you're looking for or what you want. I'm going back in a couple of weeks for a pedicure so I'll update this review if I need to. Give this place a try. Saturday's might be packed but Chi does take appointments so I HIGHLY recommend that if coming on the weekends. Try SNS! Try Chi! I'm rough on my hands and I'm hoping I found someone to take care of my nails because the commercial color gel swatches most shops have no instead of opi don't last a week for me, and It peels off like a sticker! The prices here are awesome, free mani with sns and also free removal, thats beautiful. My pedi was ok, just advice not to continuosly push upgrading the type of pedicure a customer wants... when most places callus remover is a routine part of a basic pedicure... i will return. read more

Jimmy completed my pedicure and I got the #2, which is a basic with sugar scrub. He was very quiet but nice & gentle. He gave a really good massage, though I wished it was longer. Overall, very happy with his work. I also decided to try the SNS after reviewing Yelp and being greeted with that option. I asked for Chi for my nails and he started on me as soon as he finished his previous customer. He allowed me to watch someone else get their SNS so I could better understand what it was.
