THEY SAY THEY CHARGE LESS THAN THE DEALER BUT THEY CHARGE THE EXACT SAME! That's if you have a Volkswagen. I was charged $1,244.57 to get my rear main seal fixed with pcv valve replaced. The owner junior threw in a free oil change. After they diagnosed my car they told me it was the rear main seal, I said you sure it isn't the transmission clutch too because that what the dealer said. He said no the problem is the rear main seal has nothing to do with that it's a separate issue. But when my father drove the car back because the check engine light came on Junior reset the light and said the car is fine just drive (after checking his computer again of course). But no there was still an issue. I hated that I payed so much. When I went back to dealer they said they would charge me $1,900 to fix both issues. I was so disappointed at spending too much money. (Disappointed at the dealer for quoting me first $2,900 then $1,900 to fix both issues and disappointed at this shop for not being able to diagnose both issues the first time) Afterward Junior tried to help me and see what what wrong but the dealer was right and by replacing my transmission clutch the problem was fixed. I hate being misdiagnosed but junior did not leave me to figure it out myself he called a friend that does transmissions who in turn researched the problem and sent back some documents of "recalls" on transmissions that need upgrading. I did not qualify because I was above 120,000 miles on my car and also because the only two recalls on my car are for a fuel pump and air bags. I never received a follow up call to see how my car is running or anything. The business gave me a 12 month warranty on my rear main seal which I will make useful if something were to go wrong but I just wish he could've seen the issue from the beginning then I would've just went back to Volkswagen saving time away from work and School and saving money.
UPDATE: my car broke down a week later and I had to the most difficult time dealing with junior. I was told he never worked on my pcv. That Monday I found my receipt and called and told him you did. I have cried, felt hopeless, hurt, and worried. Just a mix of emotions no woman should deal with when explaining two officers (along with two Good Samaritan's) had to push you off the middle of the highway. Very disappointing. I was warm and nice throughout me being spoken to aggressively, hung up on, told "do what you gotta do", "I don't want to get mad again and deal with this another week". No compassion and now almost $1,300 down the drain with the same issue. read more
