First, the location. I had doggo with me so went through the drive through. There is signage, but you still have to look for it. Drive through is on the back side of the building. Don't be scared, it was an easy process. The hardest part was figuring out what to order! Second, Service was quick and friendly but the speaker is a bit quiet, so be sure to turn your radio down so y'all can hear each other. The price! I ordered the #1 chicken and waffles plate and added on a small ice caramel coffee for a grand total of UNDER $12. That's extremely reasonable, imo. Finally, I ordered the chicken and waffles that I'd been staring at the past few weeks. The chicken tenders were crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned so as not to overshadow the waffles. The waffle was fresh and hot, not too sweet, and complemented the chicken and syrup. The iced caramel coffee, while sweet, didn't make me feel like I was just drinking sugar. I could still taste the coffee, and it wasn't bitter either! So, basically, don't miss a visit to Elsa's!! So yummy and a local business. Support local!!

I remember the first time I tried one I scoffed at the price. Somewhere around $14. It was a chicken cherry salad. And I was starving. What I got for the money? A huge salad. Soft juicy chicken covering a magnificent bed of fresh greens, tomatoes, cherries, and a signature salad dressing. I couldn't get enough of it however I walked away full. This has happened several times since. It is always clean, always friendly, and a small staff always makes you feel at home. If you have never visited, you owe yourself an unexpected treat.

Since there was no one around to clean the table I grabbed some napkins and a cup of water. The table surface was sticky beyond imagination (do they ever clean them?). I managed to clean half of the surface - enough for us to have lunch. Meanwhile an employee was creating a lot of noise as he was throwing dirty dishes into a container (not the sort of ambiance we were looking for). And, of course, they solicited a tip when you paid for your meal. I thought a tip reflected service. Hmmmm- what service?

I ordered a Fruit Tart ($6) , an Oreo Creme Brownie ($5), and a Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($2). The Fruit Tart was my least favorite of the items I got it was ok I'd have preferred an Egg Tart, but that wasn't an option. The brownie was excellent. Very decedent and was great with some Ice Cream at home. The Cookie was an excellent cookie and a good choice. All of the items were a little pricey, but not extraordinarily so. The service was good, friendly and efficient. Overall a solid 4 star review for the bakery. Would I return? If I was in the area then Absolutely. Considering I found Charlotte to be a very charming and beautiful town, I'm sure I will be back.

We asked to share a cinnamon roll BEFORE our meals came and that did not happen, I asked for an omelette and got a scramble that resembled a kids portion with missing ingredients, but the toast was good. Cinnamon roll was cold and had enough frosting to frost two cakes so we were not a fan. Its a cool little cafe and the atmosphere is cute, prices were reasonable, coffee was good but the food was just average and we didn't enjoy it enough to return

The cod is light, moist and flakey, beneath a golden brown, crispy batter. They have fish & chips on the daily menu, but on Fridays, for $2 more, it's all-you-can-eat. I even saw people order more fish and take it in boxes to go. All-you-can-eat begins at 3PM and trust me, you have to go early. The crowd was predominantly silver-haired seniors and they filled the place up before 5PM. Service was slower than expected due to the high volume of guests, we were getting a bit impatient. But once we were on their radar we got our drinks, salads, and meal pretty quickly. The drinks (Coke products) were refilled often and our server checked on us multiple times. I will go back and I'll try other menu items!

We got there but it was unassuming. 12pm on a Saturday morning and no cars in the parking lot. Location looks like a doctor office so I had to make sure I got to the right place. Went in and it was opened. One maybe two tables in the entire place. Big place. But no customers. Paper menus were given. Basic no frills menu. Looked at the prices and they were high given the location and vibe but we ordered and it took a while to come out. With no other orders in, it did take a solid 20+ minutes to receive our food. But the food. It's solid. Daughter had a monte cristo. Son had an all meat omelette which was stuffed. Home fries were spot on. My three eggs and all meats were great. Nothing wrong with the food. So what is it? This place should be packed with a waitlist on weekends. Not sure but I'll come back and try again.

I've never had a croissant that was so perfectly crisp yet delicately soft that held it's shape. I really enjoyed the savory and the sweet options, but I will say the chocolate filled croissant had the most decadent chocolate. We dined in, and not only is the inside interior cozy, modern, and inviting but the staff was phenomenal- super friendly, and helpful with the menu. Hope to stop back here if we're in the area again!
