I decided to visit this salon based on the the majority of the reviews being overwhelmingly positive compared to others in the area. I was not disappointed. I made an appointment for three and only 2 ended up coming. They sat is quickly and began my nails. It seemed as thought the same person was going to do both our nails and we didn't have time for that, so I asked the lady whiners doing my nails if someone else could do my friends. They were more than happy to accommodate her. The prices are fair and the people are friendly. Also, this is by far the best gel nail paint I've ever had. She took extra care not to let the paint touch the cuticle which is critical for gel nails. They also have an overwhelming selection of gel nail colors at only $20 for gel nails! The salon is so pretty inside. I've had my nails done by both Kim and Rachel and they both did an amazing job! Price is pretty fair at 35$ for dip powder nails. My only complaint was we had to look through many jars of the dip powder because the color on the example was completely different than they color inside the actual jar. read more

Probably the best pedicure I've had in a long time. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive as well as know how to do their work well. I had Benny do my pedicure both times I was here and I would highly recommend him. They offer a wide range of colors for both gel and regular manicures. The prices are very reasonable. read more

I stopped in Friday for a pedicure. I'm not one bit impressed. The tech cut my nails but failed to shape them in any way. The polish is not evenly applied nor is there any top coat. I don't expect to pay $20 for something that looks as if my 3rd grade daughter did it. The leg rub was nice but that's about the only positive I can say. Will def not be back. read more

My regular salon was closed,so I came here in a scramble... THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS RUDE and ONLY KNEW A HANDFUL OF ENGLISH WORDS. I realized this when I asked for a simple nail design and she proceeds to mess up everything I ask for, and them some. I think there was a huge communication barrier AND she simply did not care.. The next day I went to my regular salon and had my acrylic nails completely replaced. ****Without going into an exact play by play: I was screamed at by the manager when I walked in due to simple miscommunication, the service was horrible, the staff was disrespectful and made me feel uncomfortable the entire time, inside the place was dirty and the nail tools also did NOT look clean. So, I've been a long time customer of TA nails, even before they moved to this location and use to work at LA nails. I'm going to keep it short (not really), although I really have a lot to say. First off, this salon use to care about their customers and their services were great, but over the years of them thinking that no other nail salon in the Athens's area was equal to their services, they have allowed their customer service to fall drastically. Not all technicians can do satisfactory work and they tell you to come when you call, but end up waiting 30 minutes before you receive any services. My last straw was I called to see if they (Kim or James owners) were available to do a full set. James told me yes and that I could come; keep in mind I spoke to him at 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:40 and James was not there, his wife Kim tells me to pick out a color and he'll be back shortly. James returns to the store at 4:10 and then tells me he can't do my nails because he has to leave by 4:45 to go pick his children up from school. He then says I told you to come at 3:30 which clearly was a lie, but even if that was the case, I waited for over 30 mins to be told you can't do them. Then he suggests one of his other employees and by this time I've had it and will never return to this store because he has made it clear that he doesn't value my time. It's unprofessional to have your customers wait for ample amount of time and to be combative when the problem is within the business itself. One thing that will keep customers from returning to a business is bad customer service. Regardless of how long you've been going to a place when you feel like you're not wanted there, you take your money and business else where. By me not returning to this location won't hurt this stores business, but this review will allow others to know what to expect when you go here. I took my chances and went to a new Salon (Bellagio Nail Bar in Oconee shopping center). This is a nice place and they had me in and out in no time with a new full set that was FLAWLESS. I was very disappointed with the service at this nail salon. I barely opened the door when a man barked at me from one of the nail stations asking me what I wanted. After yelling the number 4 several times, I was seated. I could have looked passed this if my gel manicure came out nice, but it didn't. Never again read more

I went here when I was in Athens a few years ago. This place was the best walk-in nail service I have had. The staff was courteous, the mani-pedi my friend and I received were really good and their price was the lowest I have ever seen! Definitely will go here again when I am in town. read more

I got a manicure and pedicure. Service was fine. A lot of the polishes were low and the ones I chose were kind of goopy, so my toe polish isn't smooth and my finger polish has a lot of air bubbles. read more

I wish there was a zero stars. This place is terrible. I went on 4-19 for a fill in. When I got home I realized it wasnt done right. I went back today and they finally agreed to re do them. Worst experience ever. Never get your eyebrows waxed here. My daughter came in to get her eyebrows waxed. She came out with one eye brow coming to the corner of her eye like it is supposed to. The other one stopped in the middle of her eye. When I talked to the ladies at the front about it, they said it was like that when she came in. It certainly was not. I said I didn't think I should have to pay for something they messed us. She also got her lip done which I had no problem paying for. With a smirk on her face the lady refused to waive the fee for the eyebrows. They are certainly lacking customer service skills. I ended up paying it, but I will never go there again, nor recommend them to anyone. I would give them zero stars instead of one if Yelp let me. Stay away. read more

I had a full set applied two weeks ago on a whim. Within the first week they were lifting on the edges. I went back after two weeks and asked for the acrylic to be removed and for a manicure. I was told to have a seat at #7. I sat there and watched as more than half a dozen women came in after me and were attended to immediately. After 20+ minutes of being ignored I got up and walked out. Went to this nail salon today for the first time, and Last! First to begin the lady doing my nails was not doing them right so I told her that's not the way other salons do my nails and she replied rudely well we do it like this here..okay well I don't like that look she said I will fix, which she never did! Then the little guy doing my daughters nails twice got up ran over to other workers which I believe we're owners and was hanging out having conversation so by the second time I asked is he gonna do her nails or have social hour with them I'm on a time limit here. Then a lady down below us has to hollar at the worker and tell him he was hurting her by the second time she hollars to owners get somebody else over here this isn't working I should have got up and ran out at this point but unfortunately I stayed and my nails look like S###! Got a mani - pedi - Not happy with the manicure that I received. While doing my pedicure they burned my legs twice with hot water to the point that I jumped and pulled my feet out. During the manicure they stuck my hands in the heating mitts and burned my finger 3 times. I had previously had s gel polish from another place and the girl that did my manicure here missed a bunch of the gel polish and was about to paint over top of it. Then when she painted my nails she missed half of my fingernails but not the skin around them. I called the manager after I left the building to where I had good lighting to where I could see. Didn't want to go back in bcuz I was on my way to a Rehearsal Dinner - trust me - they didn't want me to come back in. Managed did say for me to come back in and he would fix it but SERIOUSLY? I went in there bcuz I thought it was going to be convenient - boy was I wrong. Now I have to go 1st thing in morning before the wedding - and that's if I have time after my hair appointment. So much for convenience. I will never go back in there again. I really don't recommend it. read more
