I will start this by saying, I got my nails done here a little over a month ago and it was amazing. The gel lasted for almost a month and I had gotten so many compliments. That was not the case today. Honestly not even worth trying to get my money back. Just got gel nails with chrome. Chrome is not even on my nails anymore because no top coat was put on after chrome was applied. Two of my nails have already chipped off (it is gel, that should not happen). While my nails were getting done, I knew I made a horrible mistake but did not have the guts to stop the process and leave. I should have spoken up and that is completely on me but will be going to a different salon tomorrow to be getting what's left of my nails fixed. read more

Would not recommend. Initially went to this salon with my daughter for a girls day. All went well except I requested SNS and the male technician told me to do gel. I told him I had issues with gel coming off quickly and he promised it would stay. Less than a week later the gel was peeling and I returned. This time I again requested SNS so it was completed by a female technician. 4 days later, the nails were broken and the top coat was peeled off (gel was once again placed as a top coat). I returned to the salon to have them fix it and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. I was told no other technician could fix this for me. Unfortunately I could not wait as I needed to get my kids from school. She told me I could come back in 2 days to have it fixed....I left and went to another salon. 0/10 would not recommend! Mya did my nails! I wanted to change the color of my acrylic and she soaked my nails but did not soak them completely off. She soaked my nails in acetone for 5 minutes and tried to soak the nail bed of the acrylic off and leave the actual nail. What the acrylic did soak off of the nail she tried to fix it with acrylic. When I consistently told her I didn't like it she continued to try to fix it but got rough with me and ended up cutting my cuticle with the drill. I asked them to soak the nails off and she told me it would be an extra $15 on top of the $50 and her and her husband Jon continued to argue with me about what I wanted and what was not wrong with my nails. Next time don't take the short cut and actually do it properly! read more

First time coming here. The studio is really nice. Clean and very well decorated. They had a wide selection to choose from and they also offer wax services. I did SNS and the nail tech was nice, however one hand looks great and the other one isn't so great. I'm not sure what happened but it's wrand she filed off too much of the color on some spots and you can see my natural nail. They also still feel a little damp. Not sure if this is something she can control but I'm not very satisfied with how it turned out. I would try this place out again with maybe a different tech but for now I give this salon three stars. FOUR DAYS AFTER- one of my nails has chipped soooo probably won't be returning here. read more

I usually use a salon in another town, have used the same person for about 15 yeas, but due to working late in Athens, upon my daughter's recommendation, I went to TA. John did my nails. I will still use my regular salon, but if I am unable to go there I will definitely see John here. Not only did he do a very good job, he does an arm rub after. I think that yelp review did not do this place justice. I had a horrible experience, my lady Lisa did a horrible job for my nails! I had to go home and REDO them, like seriously? What kind of nail place leaves you want to redo your nails that you just done? I guess she didn't clean my nails right because there was bubbles/dots on my nail and she also nicked my skin! Have she really been doing this? She should've gotten a one star since she wasn't friendly either! I didn't notice until I got home because I was really tired but that was a terrible experience, I could do a better job painting my nails then her! Worst nail salon I've been to! Took my child to get her nails done and The nail tech KATE was assigned to do her nails. While doing her nails, Kate kept having negative body language- kept shrugging and getting irritated with my child. she literally left the side of her nail unpainted and started to put the clear coat on AFTER I repeatedly told her she needed to paint the whole nail- I even had to get the younger manager to say something to her. Once she fixed that she then sloppy applied the clear coat on my child's nails, without care that it wasn't her nail- it was skin she was getting the clear on. After she finished we went to pay, I told the manager that the service was unacceptable especially for a child.. he said to sit her down to redo the whole process, & I stated we didn't have the time and he proceeded to say then pay and leave . Love this salon! In my opinion, it's one of the best in Athens. They are almost always packed, but they have tons of people (mostly men!) working there and you rarely have to wait too long. I always get gel nails and they last forever! And I think I pay between $20-25 depending on if I get a manicure or just the color. read more

I will never go back here. I went for a pedicure and they offered to wax my brows and upper lip. I agreed as I was going on vacation the next day. (Tomorrow) they proceeded to remove the skin above and below my lips and across both of my eyebrows. I would post a picture but I am too embarrassed to. I am going on vacation in the morning and am hoping it won't be as bad as I think it will be. The only thing these people did was say they were sorry, and charge me for my pedicure. I was incredibly disappointed in this salon. Went and initially saw John. He used tools pulled out of a drawer and not a sanitizer, had no attention to detail, destroyed my cuticles, and gave me the worst gel manicure I've had in years. I called the next day to make an appointment to have the gels removed (explaining on the phone why) and they assigned me to Lynn. She was quiet and gentle and I was pleased with her service. I went attempting to see Anthony at the recommendation of a friend, but ended up with his lovely wife Helen (he's off on Mondays). This is the BEST set of acrylic nails I have ever gotten. I have been trying to find a good salon in Athens to no avail, and Helen has officially converted me to an avid follower. She used the buffer thing so hard that she split my skin around my nails open and I yelled involuntarily in pain and was bleeding. I have more hangnails now than I did coming in. I went in very excited and left very disappointed. I asked for a Nude ombré and was given hot pink. I told the lady that the pink was too dark when she put it on the first nail and she said "it will get lighter like the picture when I put on the top coat" so I said okay... trusting her but she didn't even offer to change the color when I said I didn't like it. I used to swear by this nail salon but I just went in to ask to get them fixed because I paid $60 (including tip) for these and I just feel ugly with them. They told me that I would have to pay for a new set, which would be understandable if I had wanted to switch to a different color because I just changed my mind but the lady gave me the wrong color and now I look like a 13 year old with these. I feel like you should get what you ask for if you're paying so much. This place is really beautiful when you first walk in... I didn't have an appointment and didn't have to wait to be seen. The massage chairs are really nice (nicer than others at other nail salons I've been to). My pedicure (the reason for my visit) turned out beautifully--I just got the regular pedicure and it comes with an amazing foot & leg massage and scrub! I would recommend this nail salon! read more
