Then they demanded I pay them for fixing something I didn't want them to fix. I had multiple other companies coming out for quotes yet these men felt entitled to just do what they wanted. This was in the street out front of my house and not inside my home. Then they claim it was emergency services when it's an issue I've had for years and was never an emergency! A bunch of liars that scam people!!

That isn't…read morequite true; we pumped our well dry 25 years after our house was built and the submersible pump needed replacing. That second pump lasted almost 25 years, but a spring leaking into the well caused sediment and another failure that was not the fault of the submersible pump. So now we have a pump that'll last the rest of my life (I'm 72 years old). Neither service call was an emergency since I was able to reduce the pressure and get by untill they arrived. Five years ago our 20 year old control box failed. They came immediately for that... at 4:30 PM. They were prepared to pull the old pump... at 4:30 PM. You can't beat that kind of dedication to a customer. Bartman keeps up with current information (had me set the pressure higher since the manufacturer recommended it; used a two wire pump this time since labor cost and reliability are better). They installed our second pump while we were away and left the control box for me to install. They could have billed us for a visit to adjust the pressure, and scheduled another visit to install the control box... but they don't work that way. Knowing their customers has something to do with that, but we know and trust Bartman, and they know and trust us.

I selected Drainman because of the strong ratings on Yelp, and I was very happy with the outcome of the repair. Mike Ammouri, the very friendly and knowledgeable owner, came to our home to diagnose the problem on a Sunday... which was amazing in itself. Mike went through a series of troubleshooting tests to determine that the pressure in the old part of our house was fine. He also looked at the plumbing lines going into the new part of the house where the upstairs shower and sink are located, and he reported that everything looked fine. That left the water tank itself. He went upstairs with me and we conducted a few tests and he then concluded that our water holding tank was too small, thereby causing the pump to cycle on and off. It was during those cyclings that we were experiencing the severe drop down in water flow. He came out on a Sunday, provided what seemed to be an accurate diagnosis, he charged me nothing, and he's going to provide a quote for the work. On top of that, I got a new showerhead thrown in for free.

After answering a few questions he went right to work replacing a faulty capacitor and got our air up and running quickly on a day with a forecast high of 95. He was courteous, knowledgeable, professional and very patient in answering all of my questions in terms that I could understand. We found him exceptional and certainly representative of the rest of the Gehringer team that we've worked with thus far. Gehringer Mechanical is our go-to business for all our plumbing, electrical and HVAC needs. They have our unreserved recommendation and one you won't disappoint, starting with Dot on the phone who will set you up promptly and efficiently and with a very pleasant and inviting phone manner.

Beware if you choose to use this company for your plumbing and heating needs!…read more I am glad that I didn't let Gehringer steal 17k out of my pocket for a new heater that I did not need. Sorry Gehringer, you couldn't get the 17k out of me, but maybe you will have better luck with other customers going forward! Facts: Gehringer Mechanical came out to clean my heater as they did in previous years. Upon paying the bill the technician mentions that I have a CO leak and need a new heater. The technician did not provide any back up data to his findings to show me. (Nor could they provide any when I asked for it). Luckily for me, I decided to get other opinions from other heating companies only to find that Gehringer lied to me. I had no CO leak and my heater was fine. Was Gehringer really trying to try to sell me a heater? When I called Gehringer to confront them on the findings, they were trying to find excuses! I demanded that they send me out another one of their technicians free of charge to prove to me that I really need a new heater. When their second technician came out and did the testing with the meters, everything was fine. NO CO leak and I was told the heater was good and safe to use. They even sent their equipment for testing to see if calibration was off, and as I expected it was fine! There is no explanation as to why the original technician told me I needed a new heater. I was also told that they will not hold their employee accountable for this, because he is their best technician! If this is the best your company has then you don't have much of a company in my opinion. Seriously, do you really want to have a reputation as a dishonest company? Gehringer claims this was just a simple accident. I am not sure how they can call this an accident. Your technician intentionally told me I need a heater knowingly that I did not. I am not sure this qualifies as an "accident".

I got up for work at 03:00 am on Tuesday July 14 only to find out I had know hot water to shower. The oil pump was tripped out. I pushed the reset and it tripped again. So i turn the power off to the oil burner and left a not for my wife that we had no hot water when she would get up two hours later for work. I left work early to meet the technician around 17:39. He was in the basement for 5 -10 minutes. He came up and said we need to replace the heater for around $10,000. He stated it is twenty years old and would probably spend around $4000 - $6000 to rebuild the pump and other miscellaneous work. He said they could have some here Wednesday July 15 @ 09:00 to give me a estimate for a replacement and work out financing. After he left I decide to get a second opinion and call Aram Ecker who had replaced my water supply line to the house over a year ago. Aram showed up around 08:55 to take a look at the oil burner. He disassembled the pump and other stuff and cleaned it all. He got it fired back up and running. He was here only 1 hour and 30 minutes. This cost me $225.00. I learned a good lesson today.
