We had them install a unit. Didn't work right. It was very cold in our house in the coldest months. We called. They came out several times, several weeks apart for months. The problem was not resolved for months. They were blaming the manufacturer of the unit and were waiting on them. Back and forth back and forth. And we had to be home for all of these " service calls ". The workers were very polite. All I know is I froze my butt off for several months and they didn't advocate for us. read more

Within one day, Hannaberry HVAC sent a young professional named Nick to service our leaking humidifier, which was attached to our heating unit. Nick did a thorough job of assessing our system and disassembled the humidifier to find a very small tube which had a tiny leak and had the part in the truck and fixed it immediately. Thank you Nick. I had a March appointment, but an opening popped up, so they came to service my AC and heater today. Yes, they get booked up and I'm bad at using the phone to make appointments. They installed both my heater and AC, thirteen years ago. I have had a contract ever since. This is the first time I've had parts replaced. The serviceman was friendly and helpful. very disappointed. just purchased a home which was previously serviced by Hannabery, and so I thought I'd establish a service contract for my Heat Pump, AC, and Whole House Generator.... When I call, I'm told we don't do generators any more, and can't service you until January at the earliest.... Way to generate new business! I'll be calling elsewhere for sure. read more

We have paid for a Hannabery service contract, and they come out to check our HVAC twice a year, spring and fall. They are always neat, friendly, helpful, honest, and prompt. We try to set up our appointments as soon as the latest visit has occurred, because they do get booked up. I believe that's because they are a good company with fair prices. We've used Hannabery HVAC for years. We typically purchase their maintenance plan so we have them out to our home at least once a year for both a heating and cooling system check up. We've always found their technicians to be very respectful and knowledgeable. We recently came home to no heat in the house. We called their after hours emergency number, and thanks to having their maintenance agreement, someone was able come over that evening and "temporarily" fix the problem until a new part could be ordered. read more

I had a new A/C & Gas Furnace installed. I received several proposals trying to compare apples with apples. I am glad I picked Hannabery. They included a media filter, others did not without an additional cost. The project manager discovered a judgment borderline venting issue that the proposal writer did not include in the proposal. After a phone call by the project manager, they went with rerouting a vent at no additional charge to my proposal. They used good quality surge protectors for both units. Clean-up and old unit removal were good. The complete installation took a little under 2 complete days for my 3-ton A/C unit and gas furnace. They started promptly at 7 am both days. I had heat by the end of the first installation day in December. The complete installation with the A/C was finished by the end of the second day. read more

We wanted to be proactive and replace our AC and obtained a few quotes. We had a great experience dealing with the folks from Hannabery. It started with Chris who came out to the house, reviewed our current 23 yo system and provided his recommendations. When Chris sent us the estimates, he provided three different options and some add ons. He was very responsive to some follow up emails and I had and never made it seem like I was wasting his time, very professional. Once we made our selection, Eric called us to schedule the installation. He confirmed what we selected and reviewed Chris' recommendations again so that there wouldn't be any delays. Eric was very professional and pleasant. Installation day came and George and Justin showed up early - They reviewed what was going to be completed and a projected time line. There was some additional help that showed up to bring down the old air handler from the attic - all were pleasant and professional. During the two-day installation, we were asked our opinions on spacing of various items indicating they had our best interest in mind. Once the install was complete, George reviewed the new thermostats with us, the various functions, making changes, etc. Justin did a walk around to make sure that everything was cleaned up prior to their departure. Sherrie provided copies of the registration and applicable certificates via email. Overall, a great experience. read more

They also respond quickly if there is any issue at other times. Our technician, Shaun K., was very helpful in answering any and all questions we had. Shaun was very professional and hospitable. We have used Hannabery for our HVAC derive in our home for at least five years and we are very satisfied. We have a complex system with a gas furnace/AC unit and a supplemental heat pump. Everyone from the folks who answer the phone to the folks who come to do the work are courteous and professional. They come when they say that they will come, they professionally diagnose and repair problems in either of the systems, and they do not try to sell services that you don't need. They have even walked me through a solution over the phone with no charge, avoiding a service call. Hannabery HVAC has service my unit for 25 years. I recently upgraded my unit to a two stage heat pump by Trane. Hannabery did the insulation. I can honestly said they have always done an excellent job. A few issues that have happened I call my salesman Joe and he make sure I'm taken care of Quickly . I would not recommend. They did poor work and their COO "Dave" who called me back about the issues was rude and condescending. He called me back and immediately started attacking me verbally.. I explained to him I didn't think he was the COO because no one who runs a business would verbally attack a paying customer. The whole thing was probably the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with a service company. To make matters worse, when he defended the poor workmanship, he blamed it on a "new guy". When I mentioned if someone wasn't trained properly you probably shouldn't send them to someones house to work on their HVAC. His response was "well you know, good workers are hard to find these days". I wish this company good with that mentality. read more

Update: I am updating my review, instead of editing my review from yesterday, in order to show you the customer service that Hannabery offers. Let me back up for a moment and say that I have dealt with them since 2000, when we built our house, and they have never been anything but great. The issues we had were an anomaly, and me being pissy and hot, in a house that is in the high eighties, and having to listen to my husband complain....well, the situation was not optimal, especially since it was back to school Monday. That being said, Hannabery really did do everything possible to get me back up and running as quickly as they could. Candy called me and told me they had a technician available to come out yesterday afternoon, but I wasn't available due to an appointment. They came first thing today, and stayed pretty much all day, only leaving for a little while. As it turns out, there was a problem with the whatchamacallits, and they fixed it. I am now cool, and am no longer homicidal. I won't get into the specifics and bore anyone, but Mike, the service manager, Ian, the technician, and the supervisor guy who owns a doodle dog too, they all were fantastic and made sure that the a/c was operating correctly now. Dealing with the public is not easy. Especially when we are hot and sweaty, can't cook or clean our house for days because it's too damn hot, we smell like a wet dog, and our hair may be growing mold because we have been perspiring so much. They pulled it out fantastically. I applaud them, and apologize for being cranky. read more

Horrible! Our unit failed after 1, yes 1 year. Would not come to repair on a weekend because we did not buy extended service plan. Poor quality of materials (one of the switches on the unit appeared to be used). We live in a new development in new construction. An AC unit should not fail this soon!The next day called and was told the answering service was not allowed to even CONTACT a service person because it was not an emergency. Did I mention that due to the unit being installed incorrectly, condensation destroyed the motherboard causing it to burn? Our house burning down is not an emergency???? BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

I have a silver star maintenance plan with Hannabery. I fix up appointment and they come in twice a year (pre-cooling season, and pre-heating season) to make sure system is ok. Somehow, the tech always finds something else that needs a fix. So, I end up paying extra $ on each visit. Sometimes, I get the feeling I am getting ripped off - not a single visit without an extra charge? How likely is that? When you call to schedule appointments, the staff are mostly polite and courteous. Wendy and Barbara are nice and knowledgeable. Diane is a bit stiff and sounds like she is always irritated about something. read more

The gentleman who came out was polite, professional and gave me a qualified estimate that was $200 less than a few other estimates I received, so I decided to go with Hannebery. Unfortunately, after two calls, a text and an email to the guy, with a basic question about financing which I would have worked around in any case, I never heard back from anyone! I don't want to use the salesman's name because I notice the owner is vigilant about his company's image in social media (which is admirable), but I had no emergency and would have waited for the installation since my Trane unit worked fine, but was 27 years old, and yet still no call back from Hannebery. I have a prepaid A/C maintenance agreement that includes an onsite analysis of the unit. Called last week( 5/27 ) to schedule the onsite visit and the earliest they can come out is the middle of August! Totally unacceptable! A 2 and 1/2 months to wait for something that was prepaid. Needless to say I will be looking for a more responsive HVAC contractor. read more
