He spoke with us and explained the dangers and the process of cleaning out the vent. We have always had a dryer with a vent direct to the outside where I could reach in and clean it up easily, however, our new situation put our dryer on the second floor with the vent traveling a ways to the outside vent. We didn't even think about it when we moved in but it became apparent that the vent or dryer was not working correctly. Michael came in and looked at he setup took his time to clean up the vent outside going in and inside going out. He also cleaned up the dryer and recommended a new set-up for the outgoing vent and will be back to assess that situation. After he left I immediately threw a load of towels in and bam the towels were dry quickly and I felt like the heat wasn't as stifling as it had been in the laundry room.
