So we can't be fooled. The tech tried to tell us that we needed to replace the control board. That's a $2,000 repair. We said no, but still had to pay $300 for his service call. Then we called a competitor who showed us that our problem was a hypo-allergenic heater filter with a weave so tight that the heater shut down rather than pump more air through that filter. It cost us $150 for the other guy's site visit and $35 at Lowe's for a new, less tightly woven filter. Problem solved. Don't go to Scatton's.

We are grateful the co detectors were working! This happened on a Monday. By Monday afternoon we had an estimator arrive to give an estimate. We decided to replace both furnaces and A/C units. Their cleanup was immaculate. I highly recommend Scatton's and will be using them in the future for all our HVAC needs.

Our central air conditioning wasn't functioning correctly and I…read morewas told by one of the big HVAC companies in our area, who I had a service contract with for years, that the unit couldn't be filled with refrigerant and needed to be replaced. The sales guy from the company quoted me a price of $5000 and wanted to set the job up ASAP. Since Guiwell put in a water heater for me a few months ago, did a fantastic job and came in about $400 cheaper than anyone else I called, I decided to call them for an estimate on the AC unit. The owner, Mike, came out to my place quickly and informed me that the other HVAC company had lied to me and he was able to refill our current unit to keep my family comfortable while he gave me an estimate for the new job. Mike also took the time to explain how central AC actually works and informed me that I didn't need the high SEER rating unit that the other company quoted me for. Mike put together prices for me on 3 other units, a premium, middle of the road and economy model. I decided to go with the Heil unit, which was the middle model that Mike had selected. The purchase price of the unit and the install was $1300 less than the company I previously dealt with. He also helped me secure a special deal on financing with a low APR. Mike kept in touch with me after the financing went through, to make sure my old unit was working well until he could complete the install on the new unit. Mike and his team came out to complete the job approximately one week later and wrapped everything up in under 4 hours. Mike also took care of installing a thermostat for me and fixing a small plumbing issue that I had, both at no charge. Talk about customer service!! Overall, I am beyond satisfied with the service, quality and value I received from Guiwell Inc. and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC services!
