I strongly urge anyone considering System Pavers to look elsewhere. What began as a project with a standard timeline ended up being a multi-month ordeal marred by extreme delays and a complete breakdown in communication. From start to finish, I felt compelled to manage the project myself. There was no proactive communication; every single update and timeline check required me to chase down the team. Promise after promise was broken, and delays became the norm. The most frustrating aspect was the failure to resolve issues: * Design & Order Errors: Fundamental elements of the project were incorrect--from the type of materials to the design of key features. Changes were made without my knowledge or approval, only to be discovered after the work was completed. * Persistent Quality Control Issues: Despite repeatedly flagging problems with material quality, installation, and job site cleanup, the issues were never fully resolved. "Fixes" often introduced new problems or were superficial (e.g., covering up debris instead of removing it). * Unexpected Costs from Company Errors: Critical design oversights led to me incurring significant, unexpected out-of-pocket costs (thousands of dollars) for specialized work that should have been clearly outlined or handled by them from the start. Furthermore, I was charged high fees to correct what appeared to be their own design errors. The lack of professionalism and the constant necessity to follow up only to see core problems ignored or poorly handled made this an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience. Save yourself the headache and your money. Don't believe the generic yelp response. I have escalated to their management and no one ever gets back to you. We hired System Pavers back in the spring for what they said would be a 3-week job to replace most of our concrete with pavers (including new steps, plus rails, turf, sitting wall, another wall, and lighting) BUT WHICH TOOK 3 FRUSTRATING MONTHS WITH MULTIPLE ERRORS. We hurried the contract signing based on a promotion and the promise of having our new patio ready for the summer. It was done in August, *after* most of our backyard parties. They outsourced the work to Pavers NW--a sub that did generally great work but didn't always show up, and didn't respect our property, even leaving chicken bones for our dog to choke on. We were paying System Pavers for design (Bobby the designer's ideas are what sold us on System Pavers--they mostly worked and we're very happy with how they've come to life) and project management, which with Zach was the absolute worst until a competent guy named Dan joined the firm and took the project over the finish line at the end there. Our daily messages and calls to our PM (since he was rarely onsite) and then to his superior didn't get things moving until very late in the game. It took several calls to get them to act on that referral payment program they advertise. System Pavers tell us they have cut ties with both Zach and Pavers NW. Still, and while we are happy with our property, we cannot recommend this outfit after our experience. read more

I have been trying for almost 2 months to get the accounting and final payment to System Pavers Washington in the Seattle area. The sales agent and project supervisors excuse has been the payment portal is having technical difficulties for OVER 2 months. I've made the final payment and it still shows outstanding and I can not get ahold of anyone in the regional or corporate office to get this corrected. I would recommend not using System Pavers if you can use another vendor. read more

Crisp communication about the project. Great follow up from sales (Andrew) and project manager (Zach). The team was there for my questions as we zeroed in on the pavers we would use. Their online project tracker and payment system worked well. The steps they discussed with me were the steps they followed. Scheduling the job was easy and the crew was there on the day selected. Those guys worked hard. Excavation of my 10x14' small patio was done by 11am. Had a few discussions about details along the way which was great. The whole patio was done in one day. The speed and quality exceeded my expectations. Zach took a couple of texts from me as the job progressed and Andrew dropped by to check progress near the end. Replacing a medium-sized deck with pavers. Started off great; excellent work demo'ing the existing deck. Very skilled paver installation. It looked very good. Problems occured when nearly complete. They left a couple pallets full of garbage and left-over material. This was in our driveway area and was quite unsightly. Multiple messages to the project manager resulted in promises that were never kept. Finally after several weeks, it was picked up. There's still a punchlist item outstanding (a small grate over an exposed dryer outlet) which, even after 8 weeks and multiple promises, has not been completed. I would like to say that our sales rep Todd was really nice; Jeremiah our job manager is really nice, they both tell you what you want to hear but not what is going to happen. System Pavers higher contractor to do the work. The contractor that show up to do the work do a great job. But the problem is getting them to show up and do what you paid them to do. Deliveries come with no notification and if you are not home they will leave them in your driveway so if you are in a homeowner association you might get fined for having things out in the front of your house because no one shows up to do any work and it sits out there. You try and contact your job manager to see what is going on he ghosts you for a couple of days until you call the offices really mad to see what is up. Everyone you talk to are really nice and sound like great people and I really like them. But still nothing gets done. A job that was supposed to be completed a few weeks ago is still not finished. So if you plan a party for your grandkids birthday and you plan it a month after everything was supposed to be finished you might not have the work completed in time! read more

We replaced our old concrete with pavers. Looks so much better. Dave Baldwin was fantastic helping us decide patterns and always responsive and available. A little disappointed that pavers show scratch marks from turning the front car wheels the very first time we drove in it; the old cement driveway held up for many decades with no scratches. Poor communication small project should have taken a week is now into over a month. Teams are contracted out people who set pavers brought whole family and camped out on our driveway with toddlers sleeping on concrete. Still waiting on turf communication is non existent will post when completed fingers crossed. Also waiting on broken piece to be replaced. This was, by far the most expensive project I have done on my home and with that comes some stress, mainly about self doubts if I am making the correst decision. From Doug ,(the designer), to Jesse (the Forman), his boss and the crew always came through. There were a few (temporary) pitfalls but the team would come through with a good/great solution. Most of the crew were good hearted and were singing occasionally which relaxed me and just made me comfortable with the projecrt. Jesse was great about getting back to me quickly (even on Saturdays) with an answer or assuring me the issue will be addressed. We contacted System Pavers to remove a part of our lawn where grass just would not grow, and to put in pavers. Our salesman, Jason, was right on top of things and our project manager, Scott, got the crew working right away. Such a hardworking crew, too! Scott's suggestions on ways to improve the new terrace were greatly appreciated! Adding landscape lights hadn't occurred to us, and the lights in the pavers are a nice touch. The job was finished on time, and other than a beautiful new terrace where mud and tufts of grass had been, you would never even know the crew had been there, as clean-up was amazing! Lots of cracking and breaking of nearby aggregate. They use the cheapest stone they could, tumbled stone, which doesn't give a nice clean look. Warranty is great at first but as things keep happening, they stop responding. They don't even show up for appointments. It's such a time waster to deal with these guys. They also don't honour what they tell you during the planning. Look very very closely at the contract. read more

In January we had a 120 foot Douglas Fir come down in our backyard, demolishing our nearly new deck, damaging the corner of our house, and also severely impacting our beautiful patio created by System Pavers. All the bricks around the broken deck posts, broken fence gate and irrigation needed to be removed and will need to be replaced after the deck is rebuilt. I'm mostly grateful that no one got hurt by the fallen tree. One of my first calls was to System Pavers. I called System Pavers very soon after the tree fell, as I was figuring out next steps and working with insurance. Beginning with my first contact, I was shown concern and consistent care. Matt Ball, Warranty Manager, was assigned to my case. Although this kind of damage isn't covered by the warranty, Matt removed and stacked the paver bricks for me and is committed to replacing them when the deck is rebuilt. He also created an estimate for the work related to the damage so I could be reimbursed by my insurance company. This was taken care of quickly and with great communication and care. Tyler Given, construction manager also followed through with my case, assuring me that my warranty will remain in place. During this process, Matt also noticed that rock on a step installed by System Pavers had cracked and took care to replace it - covered by their warranty. We are very much looking forward to having our deck and patio fixed and am pleased that System Pavers stands behind their work and will take care to repair my patio so that it looks beautiful once again. read more

Over 9 weeks ago, we hired System Pavers to build a patio with an estimated timeline of a week and a half. At the time of this review, it's still unfinished. The first crew was careless and sloppy; everything they did had to be redone at least once, sometimes three or four times. Whenever we had to ask the work manager to fix the defects, he pushed back, saying that the mistakes actually look better than what the designer specified, or that the (clearly easy) fix was extremely difficult and we should settle for the current work, etc. He also regularly lied to us about aspects of the project and materials, claiming that major structural components like the hot tub prep had been done correctly when they hadn't been done at all, that stairs were workable when they weren't even to code, and that the slabs used to cap the seat wall were natural stone (they're not) and too fragile to cut (they had already cut them several times to fit the wall with no issue). Roughly a week and a half after the project was started, he told us it was completed on time and asked for a 5-star review. When we checked, there were major flaws: a large hole in our retaining wall where the crew had partially demolished a concrete outcropping and failed to pave over it, wildly varying rises in the steps, steps that were loose, and many other defects. We asked for these issues to be fixed, but he said the crew had already been put on another job, even though we had not yet completed a walkthrough to sign off on the project, and that we should just make the final payment and file warranty claims for fixes. We insisted on the fixes before the final payment. Over the next month or so, there were numerous delays and continuous issues with the quality of the corrective work. Eventually, we were told that the crew had been let go for quality issues on other jobs as well. The next crew was competent, but the work manager was unable to direct them properly. Issues that we discussed with him in person, over the phone, via text, and by email were somehow redone incorrectly, and he continued to ask us to accept the work anyway. At this point we insisted he be taken off the project and replaced with a more competent manager. The new work manager's communication is sparse and vague. He often refuses to give timelines for work unless pressed, and sometimes takes days to respond to texts during the business week. Sometimes the crew doesn't show up on days he has said that they are scheduled, without notice. Multiple times we have asked for the crew to remain available until the project is completed to avoid further delays, but after every work segment they have been reassigned to other projects while obvious defects remain and no successful walkthrough has been completed. Every crew has been careless and disrespectful regarding our property and belongings. While we expected some inevitable damage due to increased traffic and the work itself, this was excessive. They: * piled debris on the lawn and left it there for nearly a week, needlessly killing large portions of grass * cut pavers over our grass instead of the driveway, with no tarp, filling the yard with sharp shards of stone, which they do not clean up * dumped several wheelbarrows of dirt into our bushes to avoid hauling it away * knocked down a brick border wall because it was inconvenient for their wheelbarrow and made no attempt to fix it * destroyed our garden hose with no acknowledgment, apology, nor offer to replace it It has been 52 days since the original work manager told us the project was finished, and they are not working on the project with any priority. There has been no acknowledgment of mismanagement, no increased supervision to avoid further defects, nor any concessions offered for the trouble. Overall, this project has been a very expensive and stressful experience, and I recommend avoiding System Pavers at all costs. read more

DO NOT HIRE this company. They lied to you and it is extremely HARD to get them fix things under warranty. This company installed 20 pathway lights, charged over $7000 and promised 25 years warranty in 2016. Half of lights did not work in 2020. I asked them to fix the lights. They told me I would be in a waiting list and it would be 2 months. After 2 months, they told me wait again. After another 2 months, their manager Anthony lied to me the light warranty was 2 years only and paver warranty was 25 years. At that time, I could not find the warranty paper and I asked him to show me the contact. He just kept saying light warranty was 2 years and finally agreed to call me back after talking to his manager. No phone call back in 2 years. Luckily, I found the warranty paper in 2022. I called them again to fix the lights. This Anthony is still a manager and he still lied to me the light warranty is 2 years. I told him I found the warranty paper and came to fix the lights. He finally send someone to fix the lights which took about 1 hour. We have 1 broken light. He told me via phone call that he will charge me $150 + tax since the light itself was not in warranty. I agreed. Half hour later, he told me via message that he will charge $202 + tax instead for no reason. I refused. I'd like to fix it by myself rather than paying this unreliable company a cent. Then he called and told me "It is doing you a favor to fix the lights." OK. Thank you for doing me a favor to follow the warranty. Best regards. read more

System pavers recently completed fixing and extending our back patio experience. We had a slanted area in our backyard that was unusable they built a wall backfilled and then laid pavers on top to extend and create a wonderful backyard. They did a great job were, very communicative, and got the project done on schedule. They estimated the project would take a week and that's how long it took. They even came back to ensure the property was left better than when they arrived. I would recommend and definitely use them in the future. read more

When we considered getting a fire pit and patio extension, System Pavers was the first company to call back and get a consultation appointment, and with a 25 year warranty and install dates in this century, things seemed too good to be true... Initial estimate of completion was 1 month, 4 months later, it's still not done. When they showed up for install, the new timeline for finishing was 1 week, then they put a hole in the side of our house, tried to cover it up and do a rushed repair job and thought we wouldn't notice (note: the hole was actually through the siding and the drywall to the inside of the house. It sat open like that for almost two weeks) When I raised the concern to the team, the response was "oh, maybe put a cover over it and we'll check it out next week..." It was a fight to get it done correctly. I wish I could say the problems ended there, but they just kept mounting. the installers talked me out of features that I wanted and talked me into paying more for other 'side work'. They also tried to not complete the job in entirety by omitting the key pieces that give the product warranty. When I raised these things to the team, they promised they'd make it up in other ways, but the way SP kept track of punchlist items on my project was via text - and the number of the PM kept changing, so it became impossible to keep track. I never once saw them write anything down (besides the price). The hits just keep on coming and the customer service is nowhere to be found. Hugely disappointing. Reader beware: SP will try to convince you that payment is due when the job is "substantially complete", but you should withhold an amount to ensure the job gets done. We financed our project with the bank they chose, and even they said to not release final payment until you were fully satisfied. Wish I had listened. read more
