Usually I get my brows waxed when I get my hair cut, but the salon I went to last time didn't do brow waxing. So it had been a while and my brows were getting out of hand. I spoke with Patricia who gathered my information and set the appointment. After giving her my email address, which is tied to my blog, she sounded genuinely interested in knowing more about my blog. We chit chatted until I was a block away. When I got to the salon, Patricia greeted me like a friend. She introduced me to Tina, who was going to take care of my brows for me. Tina was very friendly and talked with me the whole time I was in the chair. Afterwards, I was given a gift bag with coupons for a free brow wax the next time I came in and 10% off hair products! After having my Redken products confiscated at the airport last week, I was in the market for some new stuff. I didn't care much for the products I had lost, so Tina talked with me about the different products. I was intrigued with one of them, but wasn't sure how it worked. Tina took the extra time to show me how the product worked in my own hair so that I could see how it feels and how to style with it. I was waiting to review this until I'd had at least 3 visits, and now that I'm at about 5 I'd say it's time. These girls always have a great attitude and are always helpful and smiling. The first time I came in, I was terrified. When I lived in Illinois, I had the same woman who cut my hair for 15 year, and she was wonderful. Since being in Arizona, I'd had 3 people who all didn't do my hair to my satisfaction - one of them actually cut far too much and I had what looked to be a hole in my head (for reference). Ashley was at the register, and talked to me like I was a friend she had known forever and put me at ease. I made an appointment with her, and within the week, my hair was GLORIOUS. I showed her a picture for reference, but had a little bit of a different idea. She knew what would look good and how to work it with my hair, and she did an awesome job. I have to say that I absolutely recommend Pam to EVERYONE!!. This was my second visit to this salon, my first cut was with Ashley, who by the way was also very sweet and talented. However, I was absolutely blown away by the cut that I received with Pam. I walked in with a cut in mind with a photo to go with it. Pam listened and provided her own personal expert opinion about the cut. My hair started out just mid length above the shoulder. After about an hour and a half it was short and perfect, just the way I wanted it. It truly was transformed. I was so happy with the cut and I will definitely come back. Walked in here a few months ago and requested a cut by someone who could cut baby fine hair. Way too many times I've had it all chopped up because people are used to thicker tresses. Got Deven as my cutter. I showed her a photo and she did a great job of cutting it and making me look much younger! Yay Deven! I'm a professional woman. I have only been to this salon twice, as my favorite hairdresser that I've been going to for 7 years now has just moved there. The salon itself is very clean and modern. There are plenty of stylists to choose from. I know they offer waxing, color, and cuts, but I'm not sure if they offer anything beyond that. The other stylists seem friendly enough but I only go to my favorite: Cynthia. I have been telling Cynthia FOREVER to get out of the boring little chain salons and go somewhere that will appreciate your talent. She finally did and she loves it! She is definitely worth going to. I have been going to her since 2007 and I haven't ever had another person touch my hair since. I'm always taking in a picture to show her how I want my cut or color and she matches it with perfection. I came in for a color correction with Brooke today, and she did an amazing job! I had black box color in my hair (I'm naturally dirty blonde) so my hair was looking rough going into the appointment. Understandably, she said it would take my hair a couple sessions to get it to blonde that I want to achieve, but she softened it to lighter brown with hardly any black showing. This review is way overdue. I had moved here from NJ and finding a new hair stylist is a very daunting experience, but as a walk-in to this salon with Kaitlyn I was very lucky indeed! Kaitlyn is so pleasant and fun to talk to (we love our tv shows) and makes you feel at ease! She is clearly knowledgeable of cutting hair and especially of coloring hair (I get to see all her innovative hair color she is sporting every appointment). Kaitlyn is no nonsense and is just a pleasure. Not fakey nice, but genuine. Oh, and the best part...my hair cut is great every time! First time coming here, had lots of good reviews and wanted to give them a try. My stylist was Ves. Didn't really have a personality. I told her how I wanted my hair and apparently she did nothing what I asked. I asked for long layers, still keep the V-cut in the back and face framing layers. I walked out looking like my hair had just a trim. No layers since my hair is really long and needed some texture. I paid $45 for a 2 inch trim NOT including a style. She did not style my hair. Ive been trying to work with it all week but i just cannot get it to do ANYTHING,! When i called to set up an appointment, to get it "re-cut", i was told "She said shes going to get you a wig specialist because didnt she already cut it 3 times? She said she always has to do your hair more than once." I said Im not talking about my wig...Im talking about my real hair. I cant say that he was listening but again I said "No..she cut it last week". So I guess if you go there, just be happy with your first cut or you'll be on the --it list!
