First, from the outside, it looks fairly typical, inside is clean, and has whatever type of candy or chocolate you desire. Amazing experience. They have a guest sign in sheet where you sign in, leave a message and place a pin in your hometown. The staff were friendly, helpful and just delightful to be around. I came for the fruity pebble bark. As luck would have it, it was one of the few things they were out of, it's popular, that's probably for a reason. So we got a couple of small bags of chocolate. I for milk chocolate covered pecans and my wife, dark chocolate covered toasted coconut. Their chocolate is next level good! I've been around, I frequent any local candy places I can. This was fresh, rich, flavorful. Some of the best chocolate I've had. Do yourself a favor and if you're in the Syracuse area, make Hercules candy a place you visit. You will be glad you did.

I loved the look of the…read morecandies and the process of making them, and figured I'd try them out ... just once on a whim. My wife light heartedly teased me, "you did not just spend $$ on a box of candy from an unknown shop on the other side of the country!" I was worried about them surviving the trip to Fresno. Well, they arrived today, perfectly intact with a tiny bit of chill left in the cooler pack to keep them that way. My wife tried one (it's up to four, I think, now), and then she wanted to know the name of "this shop I found". She immediately dug up the shop's website and began picking favorites. Hercules now has two solid fans now in Fresno. My wife has been looking for years for a chocolate experience she's missed for all that time, and these provided that. It's fantastic that you can order light, dark, or mixed as well as creams, nuts, or mixed to get exactly the variety you like best. We got all dark and a mix of fillings. They are perfectly sweet without being cloyingly so. And both the chocolate and the cream inside are so smooth without a hint of the crystalization present in even premium brand mass-produced chocolates (think Godiva). I should probably add that I love them, too. But I had a feeling I would watching them being made, so that was kind of expected. The red creams are amazing! There were some crunchy toffee ones that I really loved as well. I haven't hit a blue one yet like in the video, oddly enough, but there are plenty more to go! We will definitely be having more shipped out this way before the 100°F summer months make that too risky.

They were also so kind to give me a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate my birthday. Wednesdays are $2 off all cider and wines so my friends enjoyed that deal as well. The Wedge changes their menu on a weekly basis so I was excited to see what was on this weeks menu so naturally we had to get multiple dishes to share in order to try as much as possible. We ordered two pasta dishes, truffle fries for the table, and brussel sprouts to share family style and we didn't leave a crumb behind! All the dishes were more unique than a typical pasta dish you may find elsewhere which was extra fun and soo delicious! The brussels were so soft and topped with so much flavor. I would love to come again to try their brunch menu and continue coming throughout the year to try many new items as their menu rotates. I really wanted to try their mac and cheese so I am determined to come back at the right time for that one!

Cocktails were imaginative with a wide variety. Personally tried to Ceasar Salad Martini for something different and the Berry the Hatchett for my favorite kinda of of cocktail. Spicy! Loved both. Ceasar Salad Martini truly tasted like a light ceasar salad. All the food was fantastic, shrimp bisque, poached pear salad, steak with fabulous mashed potatoes, and one of the best lava cakes I've ever had and a shockingly good combo of Basque cheesecake and blood orange. And not to mention their cheese platter to start the night! Staff was friendly. Inside is cute and cozy, feels like an upscale Cafe with adorable artwork. Great place for a special occasion or just a catch up date night. Cannot wait to go back.

I drove from Jordan today (quite a hike) to try the restaurant on Wednesday with hours posted 7::30-3:00 and door was locked!!! The store was open with nobody even in the store but restaurant door was closed. I called the phone number and lady answered and said now that they have a food truck they are rarely open and don't have an eat in option. This was very frustrating for me because I had tried their food at the Blues Fest and loved it but would not have driven 35 minutes if I knew the restaurant was closed!! I don't know how to review this because it's not even a restaurant anymore but the food truck food was very good but unorganized because the wait was very long and I was given the wrong sandwich. Once I received the correct sandwich it was very good. I'll rate the food truck at 4 stars. Once they get more organized I think it could be a 5 star.$

Fast forward to a year later. They have recently finished making some changes to the parking lot so it's easier to get in and out (and more changes are still in the works it seems) and they have completely renovated the dine in area of the store. Instead of going in and feeling cramped while ordering a sandwich and having very little options for hot food, Wegmans completely shifted the store around and installed a much bigger prepared foods area. This is a major win for those of us who work in the area and want to have choices for a lunch on the go. Each day you can now select from an expanded sushi bar, sandwich station, pizza, hot foods bar, or the robust salad bar. I feel like I could come here each work day and get a great meal. There is a lot of gushing about Wegmans around here, and it is not unwarranted. The James St store does not get 5 stars, as others have mentioned it's a bit smaller than the others and doesn't have quite the space or selection, but it is still Wegmans, and they have worked hard to make it better.

So while there we went into the Coop for some coffee and sandwiches, and enjoyed a nice curb lunch out front. The Coop has a variety of grab-and-go sandwiches in a cooler towards the front, near the self-serve coffee area, several of which are vegan. I tried the vegan chickpea salad pita. My husband had the vegan buffalo seitan on ciabatta bread. He went with the dark roast coffee, and I had the medium-roast Bird of Paradise blend at recommendation of one of the fun checkout crew guys. The staffer claimed it is the best coffee he's ever had. I hit the carafe at just the right time to be empty and necessitate a fresh brew ... and WOW, he was NOT kidding! What an EXCELLENT cup of coffee! I love a light, wispy coffee that is so utterly crisp that every sip is somehow both satisfying and vapid, like your palate is both satiated and cleansed all at the same time--and this wonderful palate-paradox is the exact experience with a fresh cup of Bird of Paradise! And as for the sandwiches, also delicious! My chickpea salad pita was creamy and crunchy, with a hint of spicy. My husband loved the buffalo seitan sandwich so much so that he nearly denied me a bite! But I did get one, and can concur YUM. We strolled the aisles a bit while we were there, and it is a sweet little grocer with a small selection of all of your typical market sections. The selection of vegan and specialty groceries, like keto and gluten-free, is well represented here, too. Vegan marshmallows were on sale, so we grabbed a couple bags, as well as a few bricks of vegan ramen. If we lived closer I would gladly shop here, at minimum come back for more of that Bird of Paradise coffee! The staff was super friendly, the prepared foods were delicious, the coffee was superb--enjoy this sweet little establishment Syracuse, what a gem! :-D
