One of the top techs in the Midwest for vintage synth and pro audio gear. Overall great guy who takes pride in his work.

I called on a Saturday and was told I could be seen Tuesday morning between 8 AM and 12 PM. At 1 PM, I received a call apologizing and was told someone could be there by 2 PM. Nobody showed up. I then rescheduled for Friday morning, again between 8 AM and 12 PM. The technician didn't arrive until around 5 PM. When the technician finally arrived, he checked my breaker box (which I've never had a refrigerator repair technician do before), looked at my refrigerator, unplugged it, and told me to let it sit for 15 minutes and plug it back in. He then stated that if it didn't work, it was probably the circuit board. That was it. He pulled the refrigerator out but never removed the back panel, never inspected the components, never cleaned the coils, never checked the fan, and never performed any meaningful troubleshooting. I specifically left the back panel alone because the appliance instructions state it should only be removed by a technician. After paying for what amounted to almost no service, I decided to investigate myself because I couldn't afford to waste money on another service call. I removed the back panel and immediately found that the coils were extremely dusty, proving they had not even been cleaned or inspected. I also found that the fan was not running. The manufacturer's service manual was attached inside the panel, so I looked up the diagnostic information and retrieved the error code. Surprise--it wasn't the circuit board at all. The issue pointed to the fan. I was able to do more troubleshooting in a few minutes than the paid technician did during the entire visit. To make matters worse, I was overcharged by about $30. I was told over the phone that paying by card would be cheaper, so I paid by card. That turned out to be false. When I called the office to ask about it, I was met with attitude from the woman who answered. She claimed I was supposed to call separately to make payment in order to receive the discount. Not once during any of my calls was I told that. So to summarize: * Missed appointment windows and hours-long delays. * Technician did virtually no diagnostic work. * Incorrect diagnosis. * Didn't inspect or clean obvious problem areas. * Overcharged compared to the quoted price. * Poor customer service when I called to address the issue. I paid good money for someone to come to my home and do less troubleshooting than I was able to do myself with the manufacturer's manual. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone. Save your money and look elsewhere. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

They have a beautiful display of guitars of various types, as well as wind instruments. But don't be fooled. Their inventory is not limited to what you see. You can order anything not on the premises. My primary instrument is the sax and I've had the opportunity to play beginner, intermediate and professional models. This store has or can get you just about any instrument you need. Many of which, can also be rented (popular option for students). In addition, they offer private rooms for one-on-one instruction at a decent price. Another reason I love this place is the selections of sheet music available for many different instruments. If you have an occasion like a wedding, you can often find what you need, if you plan to perform and need music. They also have tutorial manuals for people new to various instruments. Their staff is very knowledgeable and are very patient with customers, which is important because the investment you make needs to be a good one that you can be happy with. I don't know of any other music shops in the area, but even if I found one, I doubt I'd do business there. This place has all of my needs and I'm always satisfied, every time I visit.
