Left a chat message that I needed service for my zero turn mower. It was dead in the water and wouldn't start. Called the next day and left another message. I can't go long without the mower with multiple acres to mow weekly. No one has ever called back. I ended up diagnosing the issue, drove 45 minutes to Dutzow to buy a starter, and between AI and me, we fixed it ourselves. Bought a belt from the Farmington location, installed it and used it 1 time and then tried to cut my yard again and I made it maybe 1/2 throught and it basically stoppes cutting found out the belt is stretched my yard is about 1 acre, I checked all the pulleys and adjustments per the manual and all are correct and the pulleys run smooth and no noises, took the belt back (which they are 45minutes away but the only one that had it in stock) and was given the typical song and dance about there is to many variations to cause the issue which really means where not going to stand behind the product we sell, but thanks for your money. Horrible customer service. My next call will be to John Deere to complain probably won't help but it's just a phone call. read more

Let's face it, if you own a John Deere lawnmower you know that it's a quality piece of equipment. Also you know that parts aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. This dealer has a huge selection of parts and equipment but more importantly they're fair and honest especially Larry Martin. My model 115 was sputtering and spitting when I first started it so I pulled near the garage to diagnose the problem. Luckily I had already purchased a tune up kit so I changed the oil, the spark plug, the fuel filter, and the air filter. The spark plug was nasty so I figured that was it. But it still wouldn't start, so I start yanking hoses off and making sure the fuel flowed and it did so I was at a loss. I knew I needed a new gas cap and I thought the fuel pump was bad so I was going to buy one of those. When I got there I explained everything to Larry who suggested that I charge the battery. Personally I thought that was nuts as it seemed to turn over just fine. His advice was to hold off on the fuel pump until I tried that. Well lo and behold after being on a trickle charger all night it started right up and ran perfectly. Service like that is hard to come by and I'm grateful! They have my business forever... read more

As a practice I usually don't do reviews. Exceptional Customer Service, Honesty and Integrity is not something you experience too often, if at all, from today's businesses. However, the Sydenstricker Nobbe dealership in St. Charles, MO provided me such a phenomenal experience I had to write this review. I have a D130 lawn tractor that had an oil leak that I could not fix on my own. I called Sydenstricker Nobbe in St. Charles and spoke with John (Service Manager). They picked up the mower, fixed it and returned it prior to the promised date. Unfortunately, after using the mower, it started leaking oil again and left marks in the garage and drive. On a Monday morning I called John about the situation, he arranged to pick up the unit the same day, take it back to their shop and review the situation. TJ, their driver, picked up the unit and also took pictures of the oil spills in the garage and on the drive. Later that same day John called me back and apologized for our inconvenience and said there was another gasket leak that their new technician did not replace and he would fix it with no cost to us. In addition he said he would send out someone that day to clean up the the spills. Sure enough that day at 3 PM, Mike, the Store Manager showed up with materials to clean it up. Two days later the mower was returned and no further problems. All three individuals I dealt with (John, TJ, the Driver and Mike) were all pleasant, positive, caring and committed to making sure the problem was fixed in a timely manner and until we were satisfied. When we arrived and presented it to Grant B, we discovered that we were quoted a price that was below their cost. Grant B. honored the quoted price and did so professionally. When we had an insurance claim I returned to Grant B. Without compensation, he assisted me and provided information for our claim. Excellent follow-through. When it came time to purchase a tractor, I happily returned to Sydenstricker. Everything was handled professionally. I made an unusual request for a specialty switch on the tractor. Sam researched it and provided the switch I needed with additional wiring included. Again, excellent follow-through with an eye to customer satisfaction. Just experienced phenomenal service at Wm. Nobbe & Co. in St Charles, MO. Larry Martin and his team listened to my problem, heard my sense of urgency and executed flawlessly and creatively to overcome the limits of their inventory and solve for my problem. They found the parts I needed among other components and did what was necessary to get me running again. I do not recall such commitment on the part of anyone who did not own his/ her own business. Took my Z225 here for service because it was smoking and having trouble starting one week after mowing without issue. Came up with a laundry list of things it needed, which it may in fact need. I can't be sure because I'm addition they say I have a blade and spindle problem where no such issue existed before. They said I should've been able to certainly hear a knock when running the blades. No I said there was no issues. Was running fine and certainly no blade issue. Now when I dropped it off they immediately met me at my trailer and proceeded to scoop it up by putting the forks of the forklift under it to lift it into the service bay. I had reservations then but figured they do this and surely wouldn't damage anything. WRONG! Upon picking it up and starting it sure enough there's a knock that wasn't there. Now go figure. AVOID THIS PLACE OR DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO CHARGE YOU FOR DAMAGE THEY CAUSED! read more
