The previous plumbing company, who was sent by my warranty company, misdiagnosed the problem with the water heater and was trying to charge me unnecessary fees (not covered by the home warranty). Angela and her team resolved the problem, replaced the water heater and was asked by my home warranty company, to join their network, as her summary report, fees and professionalism were outstanding. Thank you Byrd's Maintenance and Plumbing Services. Had I proceeded with the initial plumbing company (sent by the home warranty company), I would still be experiencing extensive issues with my water heater and the water damage. I HIGHLY recommend this company. Their prices are very fair and they were very timely.

However, based on Santhoff's response to my original rating we clearly have a difference of opinion about backing up your work. Once they installed the new unit, I was told they needed another part to connect the dishwasher which would be another $100+ dollar charge and that they did not have that part in the van and would have to go get it. Update* Santhoff sent someone out and covered the cost of the repair to our cabinet.

They are both 2.5 years old and still under manufacturer's warranty. We troubleshooted according to the owner's manuals and although we got the Pilot lit, it wouldn't stay lit. And after a few tries, the status on the gas valve would not even flash. We called 2 plumbers on Saturday, 1 did not call back. The other said that since they were under warranty, the manufacturer would send someone to address the issue. I called State first thing Monday morning and they told me that Labor would not be covered and I should call a plumber. 1 plumber called me back and said I would have to pay $250 each for each gas valve upfront, and that to replace them both would be $200. So he quoted me $850 before he even came to diagnose my problem. When I called State to confirm this, they told me that they would reimburse me up to $186 for each gas valve because that was the list price...so I would have been out $128 for the plumber's markup. The other plumber didn't bother to call back. I got Hot Water's number from the list of preferred service providers from State. I told them my water heater symptoms and they told me it was probably the gas valve and / or burner assembly. They told me not worry because once they diagnosed the problem, they had ALL THE PARTS IN THE TRUCK! So I would not have to pay upfront for any parts and I would not have to wait for parts to be shipped! They explained that they charged the $145 for the first hour, and $100 for each hour after that. I was concerned about how much time this would take and they asked the technician (Kurt) right there and he said 1.5 hrs ($195). I booked my appt, they were at my house in less than 2 hrs! They called ahead to let me know they would be early. The actual work took a bit longer than 2 hrs, but they still charged me the promised rate of $195. My water heaters are up and running and I am so thankful for great companies like Hot Water Guys

Sam arrived and got right to work. He did our annual maintenance and fixed our problem. Hot Water Guys installed our unit and we only have them work on it bc we trust their knowledgeable service technicians. We will continue to recommend them.

I thought they did a pretty fast and efficient job then, so when I needed my garbage disposal fixed or replaced a few days ago, I gave them a call. I called on a Saturday, a plumber came out on Monday. The plumber was on time and handed me a card with his name on it. Jose was the Plumber. He informed me that my garbage disposal was no longer any good, so he suggested I replace it. I went out and purchased the best quality (and best priced ) garbage disposal I could find. They came out on a Wednesday and replaced my old garbage disposal with a new one. Jose replaced everything in exactly one hour. Jose was fast, kept the area in my kitchen pretty clean for replacing a dirty old garbage disposal and they quoted me a pretty good price, as I was looking to save money where I could, since I was not prepared to go buy a whole new system. Anyway, this is my second time using this particular plumbing company and I am pleased with the work and professionalism they have provided my home each time they have come out to help. I would recommend their services. Thanks again!

Because of the extent of repairs needed, we decided to just go ahead and repipe the whole darn house and from start to finish and HaLo was phenomenal. As most of TX knows it's been hard to get a hold of any plumber, but Karen and their crew were remarkably responsive and got back to me when they said they would every time. We did have to wait a little to get on the schedule but it was for a reason I appreciated: while supplies were limited they were trying to help the most people instead of sinking all of their materials into one job. They helped me avoid cutting into wood paneling and built in bookcases that would have been a nightmare to repair by moving a hose bib. And when the job was over Nayar was very patient with me when I asked him to give me an overview of where all the lines were located in case I had to trouble shoot anything. Also, the employees who only spoke Spanish were so kind in dealing with my poorly mangled Spanish - So. Kind. It's been about a week since my job was done now, and all the lines are fully functional with no issues!

My experience with Halo was extremely frustrating. A drainage project that began around July 8 took…read moreabout a month to complete, leaving a trench around my home and delaying other work, including roofing, electrical, and AC repairs. The biggest issue was a nearly $6,000 change order for a bathroom drain addition that was clearly identified in the drain inspection provided to the owner before the project was quoted. That inspection recommended replacing both older cast-iron systems with PVC. I was told the report was not fully reviewed before the quote was prepared because the owner receives too many reports and is usually rushed. Unfortunately, that lack of review resulted in a major added cost. There were also property-damage issues. My sidewalk and sprinkler cable were damaged during the work. I had to push back repeatedly after initially being told the damage may have been caused by me or my subcontractors. Communication and customer service were also disappointing. I found the project manager dismissive, and my request for a site meeting with the owner after the first major issue was ignored. The project total nearly doubled. When I requested a resolution, I was offered a split of the cost of the quoting error rather than removal of it. On a Friday evening, I was told the error would be removed; by Saturday morning, I received a threat and a promise of a lien. I cannot recommend Halo based on the inaccurate quoting, property damage, prolonged disruption, and handling of these concerns.
