I had heard about Swoop from a friend but was skeptical to try. I was in a bind and six friends needed a ride to the Beyoncé concert. Soooo I used swoop for my bday brunch to the Malibu Cafe this past weekend and had to write a review! Now keep in mind, the trip from marina del rey to Malibu wasn't cheap, but the way I see it it's (A) Cheaper than a DUI and (B) made sitting in traffic with friends better being that we could all drink and party before our brunch reservation. Only thing I wish they would've done is instruct us how to use the tv to play videos beforehand so we didn't have to pull over while in heavy traffic ...but I get that our driver was being safe. Driver was a real sweetheart ...so much so that we invited him to crash our ladies brunch, but being the pro that he was he kindly thanked us for the invite but declined. I had the privilege of working with Pete and Amir for both pre-planning and during a 2-day event for my wedding clients in Malibu this past April 2018. From my initial phone conversation and to meeting Pete and Amir in person, I felt confident in their capabilities and moving forward with the Swoop team for events which consisted of 300+ guests! We used 15 sprinter vans for their Welcome Event and 5 large shuttle buses on the next day for the wedding. Their vehicles are all nice and clean and they look exactly like their photos on their website so there weren't any disappointing surprises! Their welcome event was held at a private Malibu estate which required a bit more logistical planning. Pete and Amir were very collaborative and open as we bounced ideas off of each other in order to finalize the best plan for the overall success of their event. They provided operational coordinators the day-of to help with the logistical loading and transportation from the pick-up/drop-off locations; they were imperative to the success of the events -- kudos to them!! Pete and Amir also took the time out to visit the venue to ensure they had the proper equipment for the success of the event, and the safety of the clients, guests, and drivers! They added reflectors to the narrow road to help the drivers out at night, and they effectively communicate with each other to ensure the flow of transportation went on without a hitch! The owner of the private Malibu estate raved about Swoop and said they were the best company that's been on their property. The ease of the shuttles and how the Swoop team had 2-way radios / mobile apps to communicate to everyone at once. Pete and Amir were very responsive to any calls or matters that arose throughout the weekend. They are very quick and proactive to ensure everything was dealt with immediately and provided real-time updates that I knew everything would be fine with Pete and Amir being the point of contacts. If you're in the event industry, you know how crucial this is! We booked 2 shuttles for our wedding on St. Patrick's day. Roy made our booking quick and easier. They have reasonable rates compared to other vendors. They took our guests from Hyatt Regency Long Beach to Wayfarers Chapel (30 min drive) and back to the hotel. They came on time and our guests had a comfortable ride. Finally! Above and beyond the best ride service app I have ever used...and It isn't even close. Most weekends I like to go out and do so with as many friends who are willing to come with. I have used Uber, Lyft, and other regional apps like Fasten out in Texas. Whether it was ordering multiple cars to accommodate our group, or ordering their 'SUV's', we always ran into problems. I've used Swoop now for the past few months and it is safe to say if I'm with a larger group, I will always call them first. They are quick and on demand when you order. Every driver I've had has been funny, reliable, and knowledgeable of the area. The price is extremely reasonable. You are legally able to drink in it (no more sneaking road sodas in ubers) And most important...it delivered on entertainment. We usually have at least 10 people in the van and there is always plenty of room. The music/entertainment systems are very high level and there have been multiple nights where we get to our destination thinking, "Can we just stay in the Swoop!???" It is so nice to be able to travel with friends all in the same ride (and drink!) for an affordable price. LA nightlife can be hit or miss sometimes, but whenever I order a Swoop, I know for sure the way to and from wherever we go, will be one hell of a time. read more

Made a reservation 3 weeks ago. The day before we are set I get a note saying that the bus we booked crashed and is no longer available. They are now trying to stick me with a junker. FYI Swoop doesn't actually own all of it's vehicles, they are a middleman, so if anything goes wrong they really don't have all of the resources to fix the problem. I have had generally good experiences with Swoop in the past, I guess this service is ok for stuff that isn't so important, but if you have a very important event I would pursue other options. They did try hard to fix the problem, but not everything is under their control. read more

We used swoop as a shuttle service for a wedding we coordinated this weekend. The original wedding was in Malibu, but because of fires, the venue, Airbnb, and the hotel where all the guests we're staying were all evacuated. Can't get enough of The Swoop App! I've used Swoop on multiple occasions, most recently for a concert at Staples Center. The drivers are always on time, fun, and most importantly friendly. The Swoops are very affordable, especially for larger groups. The employees do an amazing job of keeping you up to date with the Swoop departure time, as well as when the Swoop is arriving. They really go the extra mile to make sure each customer is taken great care of. Now the fun part! The actual ride. The inside of the Swoop is beautiful, clean, always stocked with flavored drinks, and water. Best service ever! I rented the Mercedes Sprinter to go brewery hopping for my husbands 30th birthday. Korey was helpful and answered all my emails beforehand very quickly. We even changed buses because of a smaller group size and he was incredibly helpful in making that happen. Not only did we not have to fork up $20 for parking, but we also did not have to exchange meaningless small talk with our would've been uber driver (priceless). I hired Swoop for my wedding to transport the wedding party to the ceremony and to the reception. Everything went extremely smoothly. Swoop was totally on top of their communication and knew the exact pick-up/drop-off instructions. They confirmed everything a few days before. The driver, Leland, was wonderful. He drove us through a very traffic-heavy San Francisco safely and was very kind to help my grandparents in and out of the shuttle.
