The drivers are always on time, fun, and most importantly friendly. The Swoops are clean and affordable, especially for larger groups, and the epxerience is so much better than having to call dozens of companies to get quotes and never quite know who or what is going to show up. I had the absolute worst experience with this company, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Here's a rundown of what happened this sat night: - First, we were promised USB and bluetooth and the first bus didn't have it - I contacted swoop and they said they'd send a second bus for the same pickup / dropoff spot and they'd move our items - The first driver said he wouldn't do it, but I talked to the swoop contact and they said it would be done - Once the second bus came, they didn't go to the first location, or even the second location they said they were at. We chased the bus with all 56 people multiple blocks and then they said they'd be at 41st and figueroa and still was blocks away even though they promised it would be there and static/not moving. It took 40 minutes to get everybody on the bus - Once we got in the bus, the second bus bluetooth wasn't working which means there was no point in switching buses - We asked for our bags and the driver refused to give us the bags, even though it had peoples valuables, jackets, etc - We asked for 40 more minutes since he was delayed and the swoop corporate contact on the phone confirmed this, but when we asked the driver he said no - After trying to explain that the last stop was still within the 2am original time frame, he yelled at everybody and said "I'm the boss, no I'm not driving you get off the bus", and was on the phone from about 1:40-2 AM and wasn't picking up swoop calls or speaking to me, and instead kept yelling at me and saying no get off the bus - The swoop contact said don't worry he'll drive you, and I said he's already dropped us on the middle of the street and left- we had about 5 different ubers have to take the rest of the group because of what happened at 2 am All along the way, the phone contact was empathetic but everything felt like a lie to appease us, and nothing was followed through. The driver was so disrespectful that people on the bus were almost in tears from how frustrated everybody was. The 40 minutes of walking and finding the bus in a not so good neighborhood completely reversed the reason for why we wanted a bus in the first place. I spent the majority of the night on the phone with the corporate team and talking to the drivers and trying to make the bluetooth/music work. I booked Swoop to transport my husband and me, as well as our wedding party (12 people total), from our wedding ceremony chapel in the South Bay to the reception located in DTLA. Honestly, obtaining a quote and the booking process went pretty smoothly. I had to change the pickup time before the wedding and this was done via email with the team stating they would gladly change the time. On the day of the wedding, I received a text confirming my old pick-up time (too early), so I asked my coordinator to reach them and rectify the mix-up. Shortly after I received a call clarifying the correct pick-up time, so I appreciated that they were quick to fix this potential issue. The driver Alex arrived at my place of pick-up on time and was ready to go. He had a kind demeanor and was very attentive to my husband, me, and the rest of the party. Everything went well during our 45-50 minute drive to DTLA. Alex was funny and kept the music playing at the right volume the whole time. He was a safe driver, so that was certainly a plus. The reason for my 4/5 stars is due to the fact that Swoop sent a different vehicle than the one I had booked. I wanted to be able to sit and face everybody as we drove to the reception. Instead, we drove in a school bus fashion. We made the most of it and it was still fun of course, but it was not what I had paid for. Alex did not know the reason for the mix-up and I figured it was not to his knowledge. I called Swoop a few days after our wedding to inquire about this but was unable to get an answer. I spoke to Giselle over the phone, she was really nice. She took down my information and stated me they would give me a call back as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it took a total of three more attempts of me calling over the span of three additional weeks to figure everything out. Giselle finally was able to inform me that there had been a problem with the Black Mamba van I originally wanted, and therefore they had to send over their Mercedes-Benz Sprinter #15. I received a refund in my account the next day with the difference in price for both those vehicles. All in all, I had a good experience with Swoop. The van was clean, smelled good, and was in good condition. Our driver Alex was friendly and drove well. I just wish Swoop's team would have been more communicative and proactive in touching bases with me about sending the wrong van on the day of my wedding. So, I had previously booked tickets for Malibu Wine Safari before I realized it would be easier to rent a party bus or ride of some sort so that our group would not need to worry about designated drivers or car milage. I was checking out the Malibu Wine Safari website when I found out about Swoop, since they do have a partnership together. Unfortunately, I had already booked my wine tour and wasn't sure how to book a ride separately. So I sent a short message, and Amir quickly answered all my questions about my booking, paired me with the right van 'Lil Rocket,' and provided a quote with pickup / drop off details. To be honest, I thought the price was a tad expensive, but after the experience I think it was definitely worth it. Our ride cost was $445 for 7 people (location, date, number of guest will obviously create different pricings! ) Pick up: DTLA @ 2PM to Malibu Returned: 6PM Day of pickup: Our Swoop arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled pick up time and we were greeted by our very nice driver. The van itself was a decked out Mercedes Benz sprinter van with cushiony black and white leather seats, limo tinted windows, a flat screen tv, ice bucket to place our wine bottles and led lighting lining the ceiling. Our driver also provided a wine opener and red cups, which was much definitely much appreciated! He had an aux cord and said we could play music with our Bluetooth as well, but we ultimately asked him to play random music videos on the flat screen. It is hard to clearly articulate when and where guests need to be picked up, if the driver should wait for all guests or leave at a certain time so they are not late, and if the driver should plan on one trip or looping between two locations. But with Swoop it was truly seamless! The driver came ahead to time to drive each route ahead of time. We also texted all day to make sure we were on the same page in terms of timing! I recently worked with Swoop at a wedding venue with restricted access. Everything on their end went very smoothly, and I am SO glad we had the on-site logistics coordinator. Jack was a rockstar and I fear what it would have been like without him. We knew exactly how many shuttles/guests had arrived for the ceremony so we could start on time. Twice as many guests as expected stayed until the very end, and we hadn't scheduled enough shuttles. Jack worked very hard communicating with the fleet to get enough shuttles to make a second trip so we didn't have to utilize Ubers, and he communicated well with me (the wedding planner) and the guests and had a great attitude. I didn't need to stress about the shuttles because I knew he had it covered. I highly recommend that anyone working with more than 1 shuttle or location utilize the on-site Swoop coordinator. It's a small investment with a big reward. read more

Unfortunately, I am not able to recommend using Swoop at all. If you do choose to use them, please have a backup plan! I found Swoop on the Knot and I reserved a limo bus to shuttle my wedding party to and from our ceremony location to the reception venue back in August 2021. I checked on my reservation in September and saw that there was no driver assigned. I emailed and they said that my reservation was confirmed and that I'd get the driver's information 24 hours before the trip starts. I just wanted to be able to confirm the stops and times with the driver but as long as they had my reservation I had no issue with this. This Monday, six days before my wedding, I get an email from Swoop's operations rep that the limo bus (Titan) that I reserved was damaged the previous weekend and that the repairs are taking longer than expected. I was given two options: 1) they'd look for another vehicle but it would be a mini-coach with forward facing seats, however, they weren't sure they'd be able to secure one because rides are booked for the weekend, or 2) give me a full refund. I tried to be reasonable and patient as they were working on finding a comparable vehicle and said they'd update me by the end of the day. I asked if they could find two smaller passenger capacity limo buses if they couldn't find the one I reserved. At 8:30 pm they emailed and said that they could not find any size vehicle party bus or non-party bus for me but would update me again the next day. I emailed back asking If I found something comparable would Swoop compensate me for the difference in pricing as they've given me no solutions with the wedding in 5 days. I waited until the next afternoon before emailing and asking for an update. The operations rep said they secured a bus (not similar to the one that I reserved) but they did not have a driver available. They said they'd let me know if they find a driver or refund me to search for something else. Today, three days from my wedding, I emailed saying I could no longer wait if at this point they still have no driver and a similar vehicle. Swoops response was that they'd send the refund and cancelled the reservation. I feel like they basically held my money for 3 months and issued a refund and left me out to dry 3 days before my event. This is such an inconvenience and I feel like they didn't go above and beyond to find a solution for me. I reviewed them on the Knot and they misrepresented what happened. Claiming they offered me a solution and discounted it. They never discussed a discount and the "solution" they are referring to is the replacement vehicle with no driver. For your sanity, please book your transportation needs with someone local and more reliable. read more

I got married this past July and I am so glad I used Swoop! This was the easiest company I've ever worked with. They were very fast and easy to talk to. It was very convenient that everything could be done online. Sigh. I am so frustrated with these ultra tech businesses that make it really easy to use on the front end, but get no service or ease of use on the backend. Signing up was easy - everything thereafter was like pulling teeth. We had to follow up so many times to get a copy of the contract - kept getting a link that would either bring me to a 404 page or the itinerary, but not a contract. There's no phone number to call, so you just hope someone responds via email. Quite frankly, I only really got a response when we were trying to book another bus, but even then, we had to follow up a handful of times to get confirmation of booking another bus. I'm from the bay area, my husband works in tech, I'm not against the sleek app. I'm against the complete lack of service associated with these types of "disrupters". The experience itself on the wedding day - perfect. They showed up, did their job, drivers were great, buses clean, etc. Just don't enjoy the booking / management of booking process. I would absolutely NOT recommend utilizing Swoop for any important event. While the drive to our wedding went fine, the pickup was absolutely HORRIFIC. The driver did not fulfill the contract, period. He yelled at our guests, and directly at me, the bride, that we were late, we were in fact exactly on time in accordance with the signed contract. He was aggressive and threatening to my brother, who was a groomsman in our wedding. He then refused to give us his name or credentials, so we have no idea if he was even a qualified driver. I ended the night of my wedding in tears, worried that the driver had ruined our wedding for many of our guests. He ruined a large part of the wedding of me. When we reached out to Swoop for help they took two weeks to review and offered us a tiny refund (less than 10% of the total cost of the shuttle) and a credit to use their services, as if I would ever book from them again, I don't even live in the San Diego area.
