Hired them to install a tankless water heater, which required an electrical upgrade from 30A to 120A. They handled everything with the panel, ran the new wiring without any damage to the drywall, and kept everything clean. They also added can lights in the ceiling of one room, and installed outdoor electrical outlets. They were fast, professional, and incredibly sharp. Definitely a go-to place for all your home electrical needs. read more

Good service from Switch. The guy who performed the service was professional and explained what he did.

Absolutely the best electricians! A year ago, I had six contractors bid on a service panel upgrade, relocation, and solar. I wasn't aware of Switch at that time and hired a contractor that turned out to be horrible and didn't complete the job (you can see the ugly details if you follow my reviews/posts). Needing to get the job completed, while keeping the project in-budget (since I already lost money with the other contractor) and finding a contractor that restored my faith in the industry - I discovered Switch Electric. They are extremely knowledgeable about solar/electrical AND how to work with the various power companies (who hold the key for a successful project). Their customer service is top notch, and they are very reliable in their scheduling of appointments. In the future, I plan to expand my solar array and will call on them first (let alone if I have any smaller projects). I wish I knew about Switch a year ago. Yet now they have a customer for life. read more

We have used Switch Electric for pretty much everything in our current house. We have had to put in a larger panel, re-wire the house (pretty much), they have finished & corrected some work that was done by another electrician. They may not be the least expensive place in town but I know I can count onTyler and if his crew screw up he holds them accountable. They are coming back to do more work In Novemeber. read more

Today 2/12/20 is the second time we've had Switch out to fix a problem for us. As with the first job, the tech, Daniel Osborne quickly identified the problem, corrected it and was on his way. Nominal cost. Two great experiences with Switch and really wouldn't consider using anyone else. read more

Denied a permit was needed when city said otherwise. Electricians would not contact me even though I asked twice. Only did one of two repairs requested at first visit. Had to follow up to get remaining work done. I later learned there was a major problem they failed to inform me of. There were invoicing issues. Talked to owner who takes no responsibility. read more

Needed to have a generator switch installed. Everyone we worked with was super friendly and helpful and able to answer all our questions. The work was completed quickly and easily (I assume) and passed inspection, no problem! Highly recommend!! Will definitely use again when we need another electrical job done. read more

We've had Switch out for several projects from installing a generator to home electric upgrades and new installs. No matter the project or the assigned team, we have never had anything less than a great experience, and this last project with Alex and team was no exception. Thank you for the great customer service and highly knowledgeable electricians! read more

Switch Electric was involved in installing my generator as well as annual service. They are always professional and polite. The service is impeccable. read more

These guys were quick! I had two areas of the house without power. They troubleshooted both areas within 1.5 hrs total and fixed the issue. I've been living with one section out for over a year. Another electrician from a different company came out 6 months ago and refused to even touch the job. But Switch electric was professional and took the time and even went under the house. Took them less than 30 minutes and it was fixed. And these guys charged me less than $200 for everything. They are super busy but worth the wait if you aren't in the dark. read more

Seriously, as good as it gets. If all my contractors and vendors were like Switch, I'd be a happy woman. Quick responses, online communication, smart techs that triaged the problems and communicated well. Easy scheduling, great fixes, and creative ideas for some additional work I'm thinking about. They made it easy to get my punch list cleared. Thrilled with this service. read more

We read the great reviews about Switch Electric, and decided to have them take care of several things at our home. We are thrilled with the work they did. The two electricians worked carefully and quickly, doing a high quality job. We love our new ceiling fan, light timers, GFCI, and more. They cleaned up, and were pleasant and professional. These guys are absolute pros. read more

Excellent service, price, and professionalism installing Tesla Wall Charger. Got 3 quotes and they were by far the easiest to work with and best price. And they know how to deal with the sales exemption process for EV infrastructure. Took 3 months to get the appointment due to how busy they are, but that still beat the Tesla showing up :) read more

Switch Electric was amazing to work with. From the engaging, respectful, and thorough communication to the design solutions offered and competitive pricing, SE checked all the boxes and deserves all 5 stars (and more if I could!). They outfitted my house with a generator and also did some interior electrical work. Joe and his entire team were professional, pleasant, and efficient. Joe was also great at follow up communication after the job was done and AFTER they had already walked away with my money. I could tell it was important to him that we were happy with the job. Very happy and satisfied customer all around. read more

We have been working with Switch Electric on various projects in our home since 2018. They installed our solar panels, our backup battery and have worked on electrical projects. Switch Electric is our go-to electrical company and we will continue using them in the future. It's easy to get appointments, communication is great, and the people are wonderful. read more

We hired Switch Electric to install a new power outlet to our garage. We paid them $1.5k for the job. Right after they finished the work, our dryer dedicated breaker started to trip every time we would turn it on. I called switch electric within couple of weeks of the job completion to tell them there was a problem. The response I got was that I would be billed $275 for them to come out and "troubleshoot" if it was not their fault. I called them anyways and turns out the wire to the dryer breaker was burnt out. They said this could happen if the connection was loose to begin with. Now we have been living in the house (brand new construction) for over 6 years and had no problems until switch electric did the work of installing new outlet. If the wire was loose to begin with how did things work normally for 6 years!! Obviously the dryer breaker wire was dislodged/loosened during the install of the new outlet, but siwtch electric refused to accept their fault and charged me anyways. This shows a completely lack of integrity and borders on fraudulent behaviour (if I assume they loosened their wire on purpose). Anyways I am not ever going back to them again and would be read more

Every person we worked with were exceptional! From scheduling, getting our estimate and having the work completed, we really appreciated the friendliness and professionalism they provided. I was so happy with the chandeliers they installed, I requested an estimate for more work to be done in the future. I'm so glad that we chose Switch Electric to install our standby generator. They gave us a quick, detailed estimate, were patient when I had questions or concerns, and reliable through the entire process. When the county inspector came to sign off on the permit and saw they did the install, he even had praise for them. I would highly recommend Switch for your generator install or electric work! read more

Communication: 5* Professionalism: 5* Customer Service: 5* Quality: 5* Had an amazing experience with Switch Electric through and through. See below for a detailed account of my experiences. We needed some electrical work done in our garage: 2 dedicated circuits for each of the freezers, 2 outlets for garage door openers. Tyler came out for the initial estimate and was very professional. Upon inspection of our garage, he noticed that the panel was very old. Good customer service is characterized by always keeping the customer in mind. He knew that I wasn't expecting to have to do a very expensive panel change and made sure to deliver the news gently. He also gave me straightforward facts about what changing or keeping the panel would entail. Never once did I feel judged by him when I asked what would happen if we didn't change the panel. Tyler emailed the estimate to me by 5 pm the day of the estimate, just as he said he would. Scheduling the actual installation was very straightforward. I called and Ashley handled the scheduling. They were pretty booked, so she had to schedule me for a few weeks out. A couple weeks before our appointment, our ceiling fan wouldn't turn on anymore. I emailed to see if they could take a look at it the day of and Tyler replied, telling me to let the electricians know the day of the appointment and they'd take care of it. A week later, I got scheduled for mandatory training for work on the day of our appointment with Switch. I let Switch know that I could leave the key under the doormat and they could let themselves in. Ashley replied saying that it wouldn't be a problem and she'd tell the electricians to let themselves in. I got home around 2 pm the day of my appointment with Switch and they had already finished and left. All the lights were turned on. I checked the panel and it was labeled neatly with the MOST PERFECT HANDWRITING. When I saw that the ceiling fan was still broken, I remembered that Tyler's email had said for me to let the electricians know the day of the appointment. OOPS. Also a couple of the dimming lights wouldn't turn off and the wall switches were blinking. I called Switch, and they told me to call Jeremy (who did the installation) right away. I left him a message telling him about the ceiling fan and switches, and he called back promptly, saying that the switches were probably not caused by the panel change but that he'd swing by the next morning to take a look anyway. Later that evening I mashed the dimmer switches and they eventually turned off. I guess they had to be reprogrammed? OOPS #2. Jeremy came by the next morning anyway and messed around with the ceiling fan for about half and hour. He disassembled and reassembled the entire receiver and all the connections. Turns out something is wrong with receiver itself and we can purchase and install a set ourselves. We were only charged for the garage work and not the ceiling fan. Jeremy was also very professional and knowledgeable. I'd recommend Switch for any electrical work. Be prepared to wait a few weeks before your appointment! read more

Great communicators, punctual, and fair cost compared to others we've use. I like that they use texting and email systems for seamless communication about appointments. They showed up for both the quote and installation on time. Most contractors are so difficult just to get ahold of, let alone show up. They were super efficient and got my project done quickly and without any issues. read more

Final service was very good. Issue with one member of the team of 3. Team leader recognized the issue and one electrician didn't return the following day. We have three 50+ year old flourescent lights in our kitchen. The main one started flickering or refusing to come on. Replacement bulbs made no difference. When one fixture used to light the whole kitchen, now all three lights just made it bright enough to see. Switch came out when they said they would and gave us an estimate. It was similar to others I'd gotten, so I agreed to have them replace the lights. The man doing the estimates was good. The men doing the replacement (Austin and another fellow) did a great job putting the lights in, making sure to keep the kitchen protected from debris and cleaning up afterwards. Austin was even concerned that one of the replacement lights we'd purchased torqued a bit and made sure it was flush with the ceiling. They were on time and all interactions with the company has been great. read more

Jeremy from Switch Electric came to our Lake Stevens home today to install two new electrical outlets - one in a storage closet (so we could get our rechargeable stick vacuum out of the way) and one under our kitchen sink (so we could hide our Sonicare, shaver, and Waterpik). He did an outstanding job with no damage to the drywall or our bathroom cabinets - both outlets looked like they were there the day the house was built! He also gave us a proposal to install new bathroom fans - which we are already scheduling with them! I highly recommend Switch Electric and Jeremy in particular. read more

Super good service for EV charger installation. Highly recommend and will use for future projects.

We got numerous quotes to replace our old outdated electric panel and upgrade our service from 120A to 200A - all with wildly different pricing. Joseph from Switch came out and give us an honest and fair estimate. Once we paid our deposit, they promptly got us scheduled and from there they handled the rest. Their team showed up on time promptly at 9am, completed the job as originally discussed, cleaned up after themselves, and were gone by 4:30pm a few days later, the city inspector came out and signed off on everything and from there we waited for city electric to come do their inspection and do their part for the service upgrade. Unfortunately, sometime between when Joseph quoted us and when they came to do the job, the city of Seattle began charging homeowners for reconnect fees - it was something like $900! Totally not Switch's fault - Joseph didn't know about this impending change when he quoted us. They were great though! They agreed to cover half of the fee and we so appreciated that! I've referred numerous neighbors and friends since! It's not every day that you get an honest electrician - Switch is your honest electrician! Would use them again in a heartbeat if we ever need an electrician again! Thanks Switch!! read more

These guys are awesome. I heard from them within an hour of requesting a time on Angies List. That was on a Thursday. They fit me in on the following Monday. We scheduled 1pm. They got there about 1:20pm which is incredibly prompt for any contractor. Within 20 minutes they had accurately determined the cause of the broken exhaust fan (which required ordering parts) and installed a new ceiling fan for me. The cost was reasonable and the work was stellar. They offered to take the packaging for the fan away for me and said they would get me an estimate for the parts for the exhaust fan. And they did.. within 2 hours of leaving my house. It's was easy, affordable and great work. They are on my list "who to call" list from now on. read more

We used Switch to re-wire our entire house, replacing ungrounded wiring and upgrading our panel in the process. They did a great job with the entire project: - Site prep was well done with all carpeting covered by plastic and drop clothes. - The work site was cleaned up as they went and there was very little mess in the house. - They brought issues to my attention as they were found and presented my options for addressing them. I never felt like I was getting pushed in a specific direction or up-sold. - They were very responsive to questions and were able to provide solid recommendations for better quality fixtures and options than we knew about. I would hire Switch again for any electrical needs I might have. read more

Had a generator installed, the guys showed up when they said they would, anything that went wrong was fixed right away ( and installing a generator with a 35 year old electrical panel was a bit messy), the guys had a good attitude and were helpful answering all questions. The only thing I would mention is that after the first visit, the cleanup could have been better, wood shavings and electrical parts all over the garage. We cleaned those up, and after the second trip the cleanup was much better. Emails to office were answered promptly, although the final bill was a bit confusing. Inspection passed quickly. We would definitely recommend Switch Electric, they stand behind their work, are priced fairly and are very easy to work with. read more

Joe and his team from Switch Electric replaced all of the knob and tube wiring in our house this November and we couldn't be happier with the results. Joe brought a team of 5 with him and they were able to replace the wiring in every room of our 1700 square foot home in less than 2 and half days. Communication was a breeze as Joe was accessible at all times and sent us reminder emails and texts prior to showing up. We were especially pleased with their ability to put minimal holes in our walls and add outlets and switches wherever we requested. I cannot recommend Switch and Joe enough! read more

Switch Electric have been our go-to electrcians for nearly five years now! Once we found them we refuse to call anyone else.
