We ordered a bunch of food, the rib and dark meat combo wasn't bad but not great. The Fish Fry dinner was way too hard and the tarter sauce was not good at all. I had corn as my side and they did not even season the corn or put butter on it. The Burger we ordered med rare was overcooked and the 3 piece dark was good and yummy (only the chicken at this place is good), but the 3 pieces he got was cut really poorly and shards of bone were every where. The poutine was definitely sub par. Service was not that great either. She ignored us pretty much the entire time and never refilled our water or asked how the food was. read more

The last time I ordered from here was prior to covid. So this review is not because of covid. Swiss Chalet has always been a family restaurant for many. This location though, which is just a walking distance for me, does not deliver the great taste they've always had with their original recipes. The chicken is always on the burnt side. The rolls have changed and they're harder and more stale. The old rolls are better. This location I find the food lacks lustre. It no longer has that great family taste it used to have. read more

Brutally bad!! Wish I could give 0's. I absolutely hate Swiss Chalet. My wife likes their food so I get dragged along every few years. Used a gift card I recieved from Christmas. Thankfully I dud not have to burn my own monies. The decor is awful. Everytime I walk in I feel like I am eating at a brown cafeteria. Everything is brown, old, and outdated. Their food is flavorless. I am sure the old folks enjoy it but anyone with a tastebud would pass on it. The food takes an incredible amount of time to arrive at your table. This is on a Wednesday.. the place wasn't even half full and waited over 30 mins for what should have been an already cooked chicken (rotisserie)... The prices are outrageous. $15+ for a piece of chicken, fries, and a cold piece of garlic bread. read more

This is a great restaurant, lovely managers, and wonderful staff. The food is great, and if you are not happy Dennis, one of the managers will assist you. This place has greatly improved with customer satisfaction at the top of the list. Yeah to this Swiss Chalet location in London. Thus far this is the best Swiss Chalet I have been too in London!! All the managers are great. It is hard being a server but the staff here work hard to satisfy the customer experience. read more

I am a regular at Swiss Chalet, I take my 94 year Aunt there because it's her favorite. However , today I decided to order via phone and pick up. The ordering process was painful. I could barely understand the person on the other end and she was getting frustrated with me because I had to keep saying pardon? Finally got through that and was on my way to pick up my order. I got there and went to the usual spot for pick up , and they proceed to tell me I was in the wrong area and its at the front where people wait to be seated. I asked when did they change and she proceeds to tell me it was always that way, well it wasn't but I wasn't going to argue. I ordered 4 dinners but could only see 3 large dinner containers , so I mentioned it to the server and she confirmed everything was there. I paid and came home, only to find a potato and a bun was missing and the buns I did get we're together with my honey garlic ribs , so you can imagine the condition of the buns. The food: I had no issues with the quarter chicken and the ribs , their food is always good but the service and the ordering and the pick up process left a sour taste in my mouth. I'll continue to eat in the restaurant but will not be ordering for pick up again. read more

I recently received a flyer in the mail from Swiss Chalet and thought to give them a try (we have not ordered from them in awhile). I ordered 2 quarter chicken dinners, white meat. They arrived quickly and were hot and tasty. Love the fries as always - good quality. The only thing that wasn't great was the delivery charge. Use to be my favorite spot for chicken! Lately it has been very disappointing! Starting with takeout. I found the takeout out staff to be very rude! I get that prices go up and I don't mind paying more but when the quantity goes down that's not right you never get a generous portion of fries in takeout! .But dine in you do! .Also was kind of put off was excited to try there ribs that they rave about and while waiting in takeout seen the cook pull them out of the microwave! !.That put me right off! .Ribs have no business being in a microwave ever! .Now about the dining room I don't find there servers friendly at all! . Service is always slow! Especially from the older lady they have working there! .Definitely need to rethink my choice of chicken restaurants! As there is a lot of competition out there! read more

Unless food poisoning and sitting on the toilet and throwing up for 4-5 days after eating at this place, is your thing, I'd steer clear of of this dump. I ordered the chicken ceasar salad and my chicken arrived pink. I asked my aunt and she assures me it was okay, but it defiantly was not. The next day I was the sickest I've ever been in my life. Later on that day, my mom also got extremely sick. Let's just say we were basically both tied to the bathroom for 4-5 days. Extremely dirty and unsanitary. Dining in I love this location. The staff there is. Super nice. When I do dining and I usually get Christen. She is phenomenal. Always has a smile on her face super friendly goes out of her way to make sure that we have everything we need. And she's not one of those super annoying servers. My one complaint. Is the takeout section. There used to be Miss grumpy pants working in that area every time we came in. It seems as though she's not working there anymore which is a plus Swiss chalet. We ordered our meal online about an hour in advance, and then showed up 15 minutes after the pick-up time. My friend warned me we should go to a different location since they made her salad incorrectly last time, but it was the most convenient location. We came in through the main entrance, and there was no hostess, and no sign indicating where to pick up Call Ahead orders. We wandered over to the Take Out counter, but they told us we had to go back to the other counter. An (assistant?) manager came over to help, and immediately noticed that our order wasn't ready yet. They hadn't even started on it. She said she didn't know "what the heck happened." Meanwhile another employee went ahead with processing our payment, but the manager came back and stopped her, and then berated her in front of us for not checking on the order first. They quickly put the meal together for us, but made some mistakes. They forgot my sweet potato fries until we double-checked before leaving. I didn't get my bun. There was no aioli for the fries. And my friend's salad was made wrong again. And because the manager helping us took my original receipt (just gave me the credit card receipt), I don't have the PIN or other code necessary to actually do a customer feedback survey on the Swiss Chalet website. Would not recommend this location. I have never had any issues with the location on Wonderland Road on the other side of town. read more

Saturday night, 7:45. , Busy place. The dinner service was rushed. Servers very friendsly but hurried. From the menu, I ordered a half chicken dinner with fries. It took approximately 5 minutes for my order to arrive. The presentation of the food, very appealing. The rotisseried chicken was prepared exactly how I have come to expect it from this place, delicious, every time. The french fries were nice and crispy but were way too overly seasoned with salt.. Soft drinks came with free re-fills. My only disappointment, as I mentioned before, the place is rushed. It wasn't like the place was fully packed, because it wasn't. But the feeling I got is that they wanted to quickly feed you and then usher you out the door. The entire time it took from walking in to leaving was 30 minutes. They move you through like a heard of cattle. Definely not a place for a leisurely meal. read more

Last night I ate Swiss Chalet for the first time in about 7 years. I stopped eating there because of previous issues but last night I was there for a family function and I didn't pay. I still refuse to give them my money. But I digress. I ordered the Chicken club wrap which came with fries. I ordered gravy on the side. The fries and gravy were actually really good. The wrap wasn't too bad either except it was a little dry. They definitely need to put more sauce on the wrap but overall the meal was pretty good. The waiter was very nice and polite and got our drinks and food in a very timely manner. I would recommend eating in over delivery any day. read more

I will never walk into this restaurant again. After waiting 20 minutes while watching one of the cooks check his phone and others argue over a mixed up order, I had to finally ask for my money back before the counter person packaged my food that I watched sitting out on the counter. I sat in my hotel room afterwards eating cold food with my fingers since they also neglected to include utensils and napkins. Don't get me wrong I love the food. But the service at this location is horrible. The employees at the take out counter are rude and a girl stood there doing nothing but giving out orders and standing around waiting giving customers a very rude look the entire time. It made me feel very uncomfortable. We had a mess up with a coupon for a free appetizer, we asked for the spinach dip and was told by the manager "you do know that the spinach dip is an extra $2 that you'll have to pay right?" How was I supposed to know that when it's not even stated on the coupon? She also was extremely rude to her employee who was having trouble with the coupon. I couldn't believe she spoke that way to me and my friend AND her employee. I was shocked so didn't say much when we were there but couldn't stop thinking about how bad the service was. We went with the perogies since it wasn't an extra cost and it was such a small amount of food that it wasn't even worth the hassle of the mess up with the coupon. I totally understand that it gets busy, but I've worked in customer service for long enough to know that sometimes you have to just put on a fake smile and at least act like you're providing good customer service. I love Swiss chalets food so I'm super upset that I pay so much money to go here and get such bad customer service :( read more

OK 1st off I'll say that their food is not that bad it's their service and pricing that's a problem. I've ordered from Swiss chalet many times over the years for home delivery & over the last couple times I've ordered I've found that their customer service over the phone is getting worse! Tonight was a perfect example of what I'm talking about... I called to place an order for delivery & the customer service representative that answered the phone barely spoke or understood English and I could barely understand what she was saying after a few minutes of trying to understand what she was saying she managed to put my order together and tell me my total almost $90 for their "family festive special" (it's advertised at $41.99 plus tax) and in addition to this we wanted just a simple plain hamburger with bacon and cheese so I asked this woman how the hell does their $41.99 festive special & a hamburger cost $90 is it a $50 hamburger or something???!!!! No it's a $16.50 dollar hamburger!!! I was shocked at the ridiculous cost!! So the woman on the phone had no idea what to do so she transfers me to another person to discuss this order.... It takes 15 minutes for someone else to get on the phone to tell me what this 1st person told me was the correct price & that they actually charge $51.99 for this festive special family meal plus tax plus delivery plus $16.50 plus more tax for the hamburger!!!! I then told Swiss chalet that I was not paying that over priced amount that's crazy I can feed my family for a week or order them take out 2 maybe 3 times for that price!! Needless to say double check what things actually cost when ordering from Swiss chalet their prices are not reasonable despite what their menu's & flyers say!! read more
