This shop is a good mix of well-lit vendor booths filled with antique, vintage and reproduction items. They sell a decent variety of paint and hardware if you're looking to up-cycle your projects. For all you do-it-yourselfers out there, we saw a really nice selection of tin ceiling tiles and barnboard available! I always feel nostalgic looking through the vintage stuff from the '70s. Both of us spotting different items and laughing, "hey, do you remember this?" There were several booths that had "sale" signs up offering 10-20% off of all items in that booth. Keep your eye out for great deals. Hubby scored a working toy machine gun (with original box) for 20% off! The lady I spoke with (the owner?) was chatty and very nice. This store obviously had a lot of regular & loyal customers as she seemed very familiar with a number of patrons in the store. You see, my mother liked to collect pretty things, and my family doesn't have the space for all her salt and pepper shakers, Christmas decorations, eagles, owls, wolves, chefs, dishes, etc., etc. But I didn't want to just shove them off to just anywhere. I wanted it to mean something. Thankfully, I can do that here. I came to the MCC on the recommendation of a friend who volunteers with the Yeg Water Warriors. She told me that MCC helps YWW as many other organizations in the community and beyond. I Googled them and found that it was even better than I'd been told. I can breathe a sigh of relief that the sale of my mother's beautiful things will go to good causes, as she would have wanted. Staff was excellent and helpful. We checked the store out before we left, and found it to be clean and organized. We bought candles and a jacket. I'm going to be back after I declutter my house to bring them more, because I support what they do. I think I'll buy some of that coffee too. Love this store! There's even a small cooler with unique drinks in the corner. I started following the shop on Instagram ages ago. So I was thrilled that they are close to my relocated area. The first time I was in the shop was honestly to only grab flowers to brighten a friend's day. Yet, I ended up walking out with an assortment of things - ribbon tape, soap, some candles, hand cream, Edmonton trivia cards, etc. Small but unique or local items always makes good gifts! I love so many things in this store and recommend this place if it's gift giving items you're looking for or even the extra self love/care items. I've shopped here for gifts that I felt I could further customize for friends and family or add to a group gift to enhance the selected theme. The staff is always very helpful when they see me looking at the displays or carrying multiple items (I walk with a cane so I appreciate their concern of I can hold onto something for a time). I've even suggested this place to others to stop at when they come to Edmonton as it's a very pretty store just to pop into quickly for future inspiration. Most recently I've bought myself bouquet filter to fix my seasonal bouquet (sadly the seasonal element to a Christmas bouquet was severely lacking from a different store - people let this be a lesson on you get what you pay for). The ladies suggested some items I wouldn't of even thought to consider or ask for. Some really cool red berry looking thing too. Happily I can report that adding those suggestions plus what I wanted together with the flowers I already had resulted in an amazing amount of virtual complements during the holiday. Plus I got what I really was looking for - that real tree smell in my little apartment! I recently had to reduce the filler in my vase to only the pine. So I can confirm their product lasts a good amount of time or longer than expected. I've brought multiple bouquets and floral items from them in the last couple of years and everyone I've gifted a bouquet has said the same thing. If I could give a 4.5 I would as seriously this place. It truly is a great as a store and the shop for the most part is arranged to give a lots of space to move around. This was before only a few people were allowed in at a time (covid restrictions). They even have the most lovely shop dog. Hand sani out at the front and easy to read signs. It's honestly the parking lot that makes it go down a point. As someone that is mobility limited, I don't enjoy the real life game of frogger. Especially in winter amongst cars entering quickly off the corner of Whyte ave and 96 St into the uniquely shaped and noticeably slopped parking lot. To make things really challenging for drivers (and shoppers trying to get to and from cars), there's one access point parking lot. Lots of times you see people backing up further into the lot or back on the street to get another car out or into the parking lot. So drive with caution, especially when reversing. Yes, there's a handicap stall and a few other spots near the door but that's usually the first to be taken. Especially if it's a long weekend. I don't mind trying to challenge myself from time to time with walking distances but it's the slope in the parking lot that personally makes me nervous in winter due to my lack of balance. The unique parking situation is not the shop's fault. One assumes from the look of the building, the footprint is definitely from the older days. Do keep in mind if you choose to park there, that the lot is shared with Earth's General Store. As you can imagine, being connected to a small and unique grocery store creates a very busy parking lot with usually few people waiting to go inside (due to limited number of customers allowed at one time). So if you can bike, bus or walk over, I would recommend it. Bike rack is located along the dividing wall that leads to the sister store of Maven and Grace. Bus stop is literally as close as you can get for a bus stop on Whyte Ave. I have also noticed the last few months a lot of people parking in the Humpty's lot across the street or along the other side of Whyte Ave (so not to be in the bus zone) and walking over. All in all, the shop itself is awesome to find that perfect gift or brighten your own day with something a little special.

Check them out too!), and I will definitely be back! When you walk into the store, it's just so beautiful! The products are nicely displayed, it smells wonderful and the prices for items are fairly reasonable. It's not just a store with a bunch of local knick knacks, but they have some unique kitchen supplies, chocolates, body care, beard care, jewelry, etc. I picked up 2 PLAYin CHOC which is like an organic kinder surprise. It's dairy, nut and plastic free and the little toy inside is either an endangered or woodland animal. When I open them, I'll post more pics. And also picked up 2 Karat chocolate bars, and oh my....are they ever delicious! They're a company out of Kelowna and I'm a new fan for sure! They're Pineapple Upside Down is scrumptious and then we also got the Milk and Cereal bar. Both are amazing! If you're in the Whyte Ave area, definitely check out Maven and Grace. A bit smaller than the Whyte Ave location but it has a great selection of clothes and goods. Nice and clean inside. There is a donation drop off zone outside. A large parking lot services the strip mall so you should never have an issue with parking. I like this store as it is way less busy than the Whyte Ave location so that makes the shopping experience a bit better.

I was not impressed at all with their prices. For used item they are pricey especially if they get there inventory from donations. They're selection is massive. I only explored about five percent of the store. I found this jacket that they were selling for $20.99 and cost co is selling it for $14.99 (on sale). I had to do something about that price!!! I asked the front desk to look up the real value of the item. I don't recommend this store. Winners /Marshall's wells cheaper items than this store.

She let me browse the store without pressure (which I really appreciate because some stores can put a lot of pressure on you to purchase). Other than Christmas decorations, Jilly's a bit of everything! There is clothing in the back (it's very expensive though - so expensive I almost choked on my gum). They also have numerous home decor items, candles, bath and soap products, they have a lot of stuff. The sale section towards the back of the store drew me in immediately (it had purses). A couple of months ago I asked to wrap a few plates for me to take home, she did but refused to wrap them with bubble wrap or something and didn't pack them properly. I got home 2 km away with a broken plate. This week I went to the market looking for salt/pepper shakers. The market didn't have any bags/baskets to carry items around so I left them at the front. Long story short my items were sold to another person without his or my consent (included in his bill and he didn't realiZe). After confronting the lady, she was super rude and her apology wasn't really an apology. Her comment to me was "this isn't an upscale place or the Bay". I have been involved with antique shops all over Canada for over a decade and I have never encountered such disorganized management with such a bad attitude. I had also never had any of my items, kept at the front, sold to another person. While the items in here can be great I recommend caution with the staff, they just aren't prepared to handle a professional business.

Fun LARGE home decor store located in the 124 street shopping area…read more Popped in here for the first time the other week while completing the 124 Street Red Shoe Crawl and absolutely fell in love with the store. From hand shaped book ends to the neatest hooks you'll ever find to keep your keys safe (did someone say squirrel?) to funky house numbers, Henry's is your place! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere bright, cheery, and full of natural light with huge floor to ceiling windows. They also carry a selection of furniture and had some fabric swatches so I'm pretty sure they are customizable. Can't wait to go back and add to my unusual hooks collection!

What a street party! Many many unique decorator items, furniture, lighting, art, even some really really nice clothing at fair prices! Nicely laid out vignettes of furniture, and the staff were quite gracious and helpful considering how many people were in the store that night. Depending what you are shopping for, you will want to spend some time exploring all the corners nooks and crannies for nifty items. I was particularly fascinated by the selection of hooks and LED lighting. The challenge with this neighbourhood is the parking, it's limited, and frequently you will need to resort to paying for either a meter on the street or in the Impark lot behind MEC. The bridge construction has been difficult for businesses in the area, and now the development going up kitty-corner to Henry's PFT will add to the challenge. Leave yourself some time, make a trip out of it, stop for a bite to eat and you will have a more relaxing visit.
