I liked this place for the most part. This place is actually waaaaaaay bigger than it looks! It goes all the way to the very end. The first thing that I saw was a Michael Kors for about $99. Not bad. Location itself is in that beautiful brick shopping area by 124th. I usually walk there but if you need to drive they have ample parking for you. Amazing selection of fur coats. I am a vegetarian, but I allow myself to look at fur. If it is vintage I would rather it be on me than wasting away on a clothing rack. They had some beautiful vintage furs there. I would like a full length one in the future, but haven't bought one yet. Today I was checking out the mink. I would recommend this place if you want a fur, but you're only going to buy pre-owned. Staff if friendly and knowledgeable. They give you great advice on the items you are purchasing. If there are any issues, or anything you should be aware of in terms of how to care for the item, they got you. It looks like they have sales from time to time, so that is definitely something to keep an eye on. The only thing I scoffed at was this haggard Louis Vuitton shoulder bag, not sure which one it was it looked like the Looping GM but I could be wrong. They had it selling for ~1100!!! That Louis looked beat, it should be listed for maybe $650. I kinda felt bad because the woman at the front told me it is inexpensive for a Louis, but I got my V MM Tote for that price on consignment and that is a newer style bag and was barely used. Shop ONLINE for your consignment luxury brand bags - there are even websites that will get LV to verify the date codes before you buy so you know you're not getting duped. They will also authenticate it for you at Holt if you're worried. Anyway I hope no one gets suckered into buying that bag. Otherwise I liked it LOL. read more

I do not do a whole lot of shopping here but I did use them as my go-to consignment store for when I was decluttering my closet of the more high-end brands. You can't get any better than these guys for that, let me assure you! What really blew me away about these guys is that after moving away 2 years ago, they still had money waiting for me. I love coming to Vespucci whenever I'm in this area, because they always have something new. They are a fine quality consignment store, and carry brand name clothes, shoes, jackets, bags, and jewelry for a fraction of the usual price. I think they are geared more towards mature women, because every time I go it's always older women who are shopping there. Which leaves me wondering, why don't women my age come here? I mean, there are brand name bags and shoes, still in good condition, that we can actually afford! The shoes are by far my favorite part about Vespucci. Oh, and the bags. Okay, it's a tie. The first thing you see when you walk in is their display of boots. Great for the fall and winter, and they have a lot of knee-highs. They also have a large display of designer handbags on the other side of the entrance. Brands like Guess and Kathy van Zeeland are usually nesting among there. They've got loads of jewelry, and you might be able to find a pretty vintage broach, if you look hard enough. The remainder of their shoes are in the back of the store, near their comfortable dressing rooms. As one of the saleswomen said, one thing's for sure, they have lots and lots of shoes! I've been a loyal customer of Vespucci for years. This is the best consignment store in Edmonton for selection. There are racks upon racks of clothing that range from high end designer brands to standard mall brands. Which leads to a wide range of prices as well. Be prepared to spend at least an hour going through the racks, and upwards to three hours, that's how much they have! Right off the bat I want to address that the manager of the store can be considered difficult, but if you build a relationship with her she is very good to interact with. If you want to consign at Vespucci you can only bring in clothing from the last two years, they must be washed and preferably pressed, and brought in on hangars. If you bring in items any other way, you will not be treated well. Forget about even venturing in with clothing that has pilling, rips, stains, or looks worn. That's just the way it is, and it means that when you are shopping there, you know you will be getting quality clothing. If you don't want to deal with the hassle of building a good rapport with the manager, I would suggest checking out other consignment places. Now, onto the fun part. Some of my favourite items in my closet have come from Vespucci. I would strongly suggest that everyone who travels the racks of Vespucci not skip over the pant section. It can be a bit of a slog going through all of the items, but almost all of my pants come from consignment, and that's where you can get a lot of savings. Other items like dresses and tops are not marked down as much as pants, so please check out the pant section. Right now all of the fall and winter wear are in, I just went last week and walked away with a cable knit sweater, two skirts from Club Monaco, a dress, and a Gentle Fawn jacket for $150. Vespucci Consignment is located on High Street, which is one of my favorite areas to hang out. I didn't realize the size of this store until I ventured past the cashier's desk; it's huge, for a consignment store! I could easily pass an hour here, at least. There are racks & racks of good quality, higher-end brands available here like Michael Kors and DKNY. I also saw some pieces from Banana Republic, Fluxus and brands of similar decent quality. What struck me the most was their vast array of leather shoes & boots! And their impressive stock of stylish purses & bags. Vespucci isn't wheelchair accessible, and the stairs are quite steep. In recent months, my friend has been consigning at Vespucci and suggested I try them out. When I told her about my terrible experience, she was surprised, as the staff were very nice to her. Last Tuesday I decided to give them another try. EVERYBODY was friendly! I didn't see the miserable woman; perhaps she has moved on. Everything I brought was accepted. The only thing I am not too crazy about is that the consignor only gets 40% and has to pay a $1.75 processing fee per item. I love the clothes, I love the deals, and I love consigning. The store itself is great, but my friend had a very bad experience, as she was overcharged by about 100$. When she tried to point this out, one of the older ladies there told her NO RETURNS. My friend tried to make the point that it is not a return but an error in billing, The manager was really trying to ignore my friend, but after about 15 minutes of standoff and insistence she finally took a look at her bill and saw the issue. My friend was given a refund but no apology. It really soured her on the business, but I still go there because the clothes are great. But I agree that the managers behaviour was extremely poor and doesn't give me much confidence in the customer service one will receive in the store. I've tried to love this Vespucci as much as I love the Calgary store, and I've gone a bunch of times to see if maybe my experience here will change. And it doesn't. The selection of items is ok, not stellar. The prices for what you get are on the high side. I can kind of live with this. What I can't deal with is how rude the staff are, unless of course you walk in looking like you have money. If you look like a "commoner", be prepared to be ignored and followed around while a suspicious staff member rearranges whatever rack you had the nerve to touch. Today was my last try after many. This is one of my favorite places to go clothing shopping. This store literally has everything clothing wise (except for under garments, which is a good thing). The dressing rooms are large with large mirrors. You never know what you are going to find when you walk into the store as it's like a treasure hunt. The clothes being sold are usually in mint condition. I'm petite and have found at least 3 great pieces everytime I've shopped here. Prices vary as I find something over priced but also somethings under priced and some great deals. I also currently have some clothing in for consignment and am waiting to see how that pans out. If you are looking for a place to spend an afternoon trying on all different styles to see what suits you at a decent price- this is the place to shop. read more

This is a higher-end consignment store just west of 124 St. I have been in both good and bad consignment stores. I thought this one might be for older ladies but I found lots of items I liked to try on. The quality of clothes is high. They don't re-sell stuff that's worn, frayed or damaged. Everything's in top condition, and the prices are very good. Clothes are divided by the type of clothing: top, tank, sweater, cardigan, skirt, pants, jeans, designer denim, high-end suits, ball gowns, etc. There are also lots of shoes scattered throughout the store, and on several racks. The clothes are also divided by colour, so I headed to the pinks and turquoises, two of my favourites. The sales people of very friendly and helpful, and can take as many items as you'd like inside the change room. I didn't buy anything this time. Consignment is always hit and miss. But they always have new stuff coming into the store, and you never know whose toss-outs might be your new wardrobe treasure. read more

Went there today and was thoroughly disappointed in everything. Most of the selection wasn't even from this decade and you could tell that the items had been in somebody's closet for at least ten years. Even the new with tags items seemed like they had been there for a very long time. The prices definitely didn't impress either. They did not reflect the fact that these items were well worn and from ten plus years ago. I had initially been really excited to check this place out as they market themselves as a "high end" consignment store. However, I was hard pressed to find anything actually high end. Selection of clothes are not bad, but you will find that some items are sold on par with the price that you could buy it brand new in the store! I like wandering through the selection when I am in the area, but the service for consigning clothes here could be better. The website says no appointment necessary, but you will get turned away unless you have very high end items. I was in the store, and the lady working there turn away one person saying she had all the inventory they needed. As a potential consignee, I seriously considered Vespucci because of the store location and the type of clothing I wanted to leave, that is until I met the store Manager; my items consisted mostly of quality business suits which I had not brought with me on that day. Once I stated the purpose of my visit, it became clear that this was a waste of my time. It took half an hour for me to obtain the information I was looking for; every time someone walked in she became uninterested in my few questions and turned to the newcomer; there were other employees in the store. It is located in a nice area however parking is limited and the store is not wheelchair accessible. I took my business to Caprice West. What a delightful group of people; they are very professional! The store is beautiful. It is wheelchair accessible with plenty of parking. In the end, I should be grateful to Vespucci for their poor treatment and allowing me to find Caprice West. read more

Truly terrible experience. The owner, (a lady in her mid 60's, so I'm assuming she was the owner) was unspeakably rude to my husband and I this afternoon. I had called 2 weeks ago to check what clothes they accepted in order to avoid any embarassment or problems. I was told they do accept some plus sizes, prefer clothes be brought in during the work week and were taking only spring styles. No other limits or restrictions were mentioned. So my husband and I went this past lunch hour to see if they were interested in any of my clothes. I am a professional and all the clothes were new, tags on and unworn - suitable for the office. They were all size 18W, most were from Talbot's, but I had a few new leather jackets and a beautiful pair of new, red, 4 inch heels from EnPrevado. All the clothes were high-end. We entered with the clothes on hangers (a few silk sweaters were in bags) and the owner, who was clearly busy, immediately began questioning us about the clothes. She aked if they were on hangers; had we called ahead, etc. We answered in the affirmative to about 4 questions and were willing to wait until she finished with another customer so she could look at the cothes herself. But it was pretty clear she did not want to deal with us. She then literally called across the front of the store "I don't mean to be rude, but what size are the clothes?" My husband and I just looked at her. Could she be so tactless as to ask such a question with all the other customers listening? Of course we left after that. I didn't see much of the store, but what I saw looked a bit tatty (and the clothes certainly well-worn) The shoes in the front of the store looked a bit shabby as well. They have every right to review the clothes and turn away clothes for any reason. However, the owner was unecessarily rude, which fit with the tackiness of their stock. This is not a friendly store to plus-size women. read more

I am pretty regular visitor to Vespucci because I generally can find something great and cheap. I go to this shop only for the deals. I certainly don't go because the service is ao great. Because it's terrible. I am usually ignored completely, or if the staff deign to speak to me it's in their snarkiest possible tone. The woman in black with the overdone lipstick is by far the worst of the bunch. You'd think a regular customer would be at least acknowledged, but you'd be very wrong. Vespucci is a great consignment store. They sell lots of high-end brands, and the quality of clothes is consistently good. Here you won't find worn out and faded items but rather well preserved clothing pieces that with gentle care will last many years to come. I remember the feeling of extacy when I have located a D&G bomber jacket for $100. It is still alive and well in my closet, and I still get complimens on it from female friends. Vespucci has great accessories selection. There are pendants, bracelets, earrings, scarves and hats. Everything is reasonably priced. As with all consignment stores, Vespucci can be a hit or a miss. What I do to insure that I don't miss new inventory arrival is check back often. One last thing I will compliment Vespucci on is that the store is nicely organized. The tops are grouped by colour, the dresses and coats hang separately, the shoes are neatly displayed. Vespucci is a pleasure to visit. read more

Can anyone tell me what happened to D'Elegance Consignment shop formerly of 124 St. which was owned by Dragica? I stopped in there earlier this year and left 4 pairs of my beautiful, hardly worn shoes with an employee named Helen. She gave me an account number and said I would be called soon to be informed on how they would price them. I never heard from them but gave them some time and when I tried calling the number on the business card, no one answered. Later, I drove to the store and saw that they had closed and moved out! The clothes are in incredible shape, barely look worn and the selection is amazing. I paid $50 for Miss Me jeans that are $150 in stores right now and they look brand new. I have been to the Calgary location and Edmonton locations and have found great buys, yes there are alot of mature patrons at the stores but especially in the Calgary location they have a range of age brackets that I have seen shopping there, I have made my 17 year old daughter a fan as well. I do consign there as well as shop and there are hits and misses for me. I do find that sometimes the staff in the Calgary location seem a bit uppitty, which I do have a hard time with seeing as how they are making money on the clothes that people bring in and should treat people with a friendlier attitude but all in all I do enjoy shopping in both the stores. read more

I had a very bad experience when I consigned some high end clothing here. It took forever to get my money out of them. They kept telling me to come back "next month" as they had already paid out for this month. I waited over 6 months to get the few dollars they sold my items for. I was encouraged to "buy something" as opposed to collecting cash for my consignments. I also found that when I did bring in items to consign (I had made an appointment) I was also treated very poorly. I received terrible customer service at my first visit to Vespucci. I called the store ahead of time to find out if they accepted graduation dresses. The person on the phone told me they did, so I drove in from Sherwood Park to drop off the dress. Once I got there they told me they do not accept grad dresses. I went to Vespucci Consignment for the first time last week to look for a hat to attend an end of summer event after a friend suggested it. I ended up buying not only one hat, but three hats I liked, including a red one that matched my red dress perfectly! I also found a pair of black sandals and brown boots that were in practically new condition! I actually had seen the brown boots at a regular store last winter, but they sold out in my size (size 6) and wonder of wonders, they were at Vespucci in exactly my size this time! I was somewhat in a hurry and tried on only one dress, but it didn't fit quite right, although it was lovely and unique. However, in quickly looking through the racks of dresses, there were only a few dresses in XS or 0-2. The prices were quite reasonable, compared to what I would have to pay for new. I went back this Saturday to consign a pair of burgandy boots that I had bought from En Privado. I was told that on the weekend, they couldn't guarantee that my item would be accepted as the staff person who accepts selections weren't there, but the two sales ladies who helped me thought my boots were very nice and would sell, and I was given an account number right away without fuss or muss. My sense was that as long as items were in really good condition, stylish and on the higher end, they would accept them for consignment. I am new to consignment, but this has definitely piqued my interest in it! read more

I had to kill multiple hours this morning and was ready to spend a lot of time in here checking out the neat clothes and realized the customer service was basically nonexistent. Not one employee greeted me or asked to help even though I was in there a long time. At one point I was looking at a shirt I was quite interested in, standing in one of two sides of a large rack of clothing and an employee came up beside me and simply paused for a second to get me to move out of her way. I did, assuming she was just too busy to say excuse me or a thank you when I moved for her. She came by twice more this way even though the opposite side was clear. No excuse me. No thank you. Even though I was holding out a shirt I was ready to buy (didn't after this interaction, or lack there of) and was examining it for any wear. The third time my head felt like saying something but I decided it just wasn't worth it as I assume customer service is just not emphasized at this business as there were multiple employees that made me feel simply invisible. read more
