We are big Swig drinkers. We have been disappointed in the quality of Swig's at this location several times. They don't spend time preparing their drinks. We spent $9.00 on two 44oz drinks we could not drink. Didn't taste anything like our "Guava have it." And "Tropic." So disappointing. We were on the freeway before we realized how bad they were. We came inside and no one was working the counter despite a large line of people waiting to order. We were able to order after nearly 10 min of waiting. They brought out 2/3 of our drinks after another 10 min of waiting. I then had to ask them where our third drink was and they had no clue so I had to wait again for them to make that drink. Don't go inside if you see a long line in the drive thru. Waited 10 minutes to order and 20 minutes for a drink, only got my drink when one of the workers asked what I was waiting for. The drive thru is clearly prioritized. read more

Swig is in the family of soda shops in Utah that offer flavored sodas from very simple to unique combinations. The drive thru at this location is efficient and an employee stands outside to expedite the order. The challenge here is that the menu only displays a fraction of the options that they have so checking the menu online and knowing what you want before you arrive is advised. On the two occasions that I've visited here, I've tried the "candy girl" with Mountain Dew, coconut, lime, and frozen strawberries and the "dizzle" with Sprite, pineapple, peach purée, coconut. The Mountain Dew-based drink was definitely much better than the one with Sprite as the dizzle was very bland and none of the added flavors came through. In general, I think this shop puts less syrup and purée in the drinks than some of the other places in town. I've also tried some of their cookies as a random add-on. When the employee handed us the three cookies, it was clear that these were not freshly made. They were nearly frozen still, suggesting that probably cookies are not something that many customers order frequently. I would recommend skipping them and sticking with the drinks. On my next visit, I'd like to try the flavored hot chocolates. read more

Swig does a really good job with their drinks. Their Texas tab, Dr Pepper, vanilla and coconut cream is really good, creamy and smooth. The Raspberry Dream is a nice go to for something a little more sweet. Dr Pepper, raspberry purée and coconut cream. Pro tips - ask for extra coconut cream - light ice, who wants to load up their drink with water?!? And their foam cups keep it cold w/o the extra ice. Swig In Layton please add a rain gutter to your awning over the drive through. Sitting there having water drip on your car from the rain or melting snow is so annoying. I keep my ride clean and have avoided your place just because of this. read more

These guys are the best. I've never been one to wait in a massive line but if I do...this line moves fast! Love ordering on their app as well. Swig just opened nearby so we've had a chance to try it out. The menu is much simpler than some of the competing soda shops. This makes it easier to pick a beverage. While the menu is simpler, you can build your own drink with any flavoring. This location has a drive thru which is a plus when needing a quick fix of caffeine. The cookies are fantastic. Some of my favorite cookies out there. The location on Layton Parkway and Fort Lane is convenient but the area is a bit busy. The staff is friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back! read more

Stopped by for a drink at this new location in Layton. Nice to be able to use the drive thru.... though Covid-19 makes the decision for you anyway. There was a pretty long line, but we were in no rush. When it was our turn to order, we were greeted by a sweet girl, who was so friendly and welcoming. (Her name is Kapri (spelling?)) She was fun and made a few suggestions for us. It's nice to see our youth so on the ball and professional. She also recommended we get a couple of cookies. (How could we say no, to such a great kid). Our drinks and cookies were ready to go, by the time we arrived at the pick-up window. And the cookies that Kapri recommended we buy... yep, pretty good and I am glad she encouraged us to get a couple. I guess my point is you can buy soda anywhere and maybe Swig costs a bit more than a convenience store, but it was nice to just drive up and place a quick order, grab a cookie and meet a kid (Kapri) who gives you some hope for our future generation. This place was so cool. I've always seen it, but never stopped by until today. There were four people ahead of me and I still got through the line in under five minutes. My barista Sam was so kind and walked me through the ordering process with awesome suggestions. She even talked with me for a minute and made me smile :) Looking forward to returning soon! They also have sugar free options that my boyfriend was quite excited about so we will surely be there again soon! read more

I love this swig! Simple menu. Staff that knows what they are doing. Consistency with every drink. I've gotta compare them to fiiz. Fiiz gets your order wrong. Young kids messing around and doing your order wrong. I love it because there is a long drive through and the line is super short when I come. The workers can suggest the best drinks too.
