Three words to sum up swift smog, honest, fast and fair. Over the years I have become accustomed to waiting 45 minutes to an hour to get my car smogged at other shops, but at Swift you are in and out in 15 minutes or less. Just came from there. They were very nice and funny. The smog was done quickly. They are also knowledgable about how the DMV works with smog and online registration. Best experience Ive had at a smog place. Usually you're concerned they wanna do something unethical like fail for a dumb visual reason or upcharge because your car doesn't fit into normal pricing. I have been hearing about issues with a lot of SMOG Testing centers. I was referred to Swift Smog for a reliable tire & repair company here in Hemet. I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. I felt comfortable with the people who work there. They were professional, polite and run a legitimate and professional business and they were less expensive than most. Im don't live in Hemet but my Son does, I went with him to Swift Smog, Wow talk about a great place! Tom Sr and Tom Jr were both very helpful to him. $39 bucks you must be kidding me! In Oregon I paid $185.00 for the same thing! If they had a shop in Portland they wouldn't be able to keep up no way! The customer service in Oregon was "yeah we can fix it" just sit and wait" 1 hr later I was seething and still waiting. It was pathetic! I really wish they would expand and even told Tom Sr that. He just laughed and said Hemet is my home, my customers are all like family, at least that's how I treat them. Yes he does! You folks in Hemet are lucky, I just wish they could open a shop in Oregon :) You cant go wrong and my Son said he too would go there from now on.. read more

I haven't even brought my car in for its smog test but already I'm sold based on the reviews here AND the experience I just had on the phone with one of their employees. I explained that I was planning on bringing my car in to be tested but was concerned because the "Service" light comes on when the engine is cold but later goes off after driving a couple of miles. The person I spoke to was super friendly and said to remind them, when i bring my car in next week, to tell them about the light and they will check some kind of monitor. He said that if the car would fail due to that issue they won't perform the test. I very much appreciate the customer service at this place. What a HUGE contrast to Valley Smog on State St. (behind Sprouts), where the same unsmiling, unfriendly lady has been "welcoming" (not!) customers for years. My fingers are crossed that when I actually bring my car to Swift that they live up to the great reviews here and the positive impression I got of the business from my brief phone call today. read more

I'm a 31 year old woman who's never had to get a smog before so I was dreading the whole experience. Did I know what to expect, nah, but when women go in for anything car related I feel that were looked at as unknowledgeable idiots. In this instance, it was true :) I found this place thanks to Yelp. I pulled up and I'm not going to lie it looked a little wonky. I guess that was just the judgy I don't wanna attitude I had. I was greeted right away, and the guy was really pleasant, kinda like we were friends which was really nice and it changed my mood completely. It was 8:59am not too busy at all. He got my car info and he asked me to have a seat. It was cozy inside lots of seating and coffee. A major plus, it was warm. I sat down and got my phone out to get my social media on and I'm not even kidding at 9:05 he was done! Whaaaa?! 5 minutes. It was $39 which I expected. He took time and explained to me all the details about how it goes to the dmv and he didn't make me feel like an idiot at all. I highly recommend this place. Quick. Efficient. Nice staff. As most people might feel, I was paranoid going in for a smog test with a older car (95 Buick with 158000 miles). It runs pretty well but has had some problems in the past. I did change the oil, inflate the tires, previously ran sea foam to clean the injectors and fuel system and changed the plugs. All this and I was still paranoid. I spoke with the owner (I believe he and his sons own the place). He was very comforting and treated me with respect. I asked many questions and he took all the time needed to explain the right and proper answers. I knew this was NOT one of those places that try and fail your car. (I actually felt if he had any control at all he would try and pass it or work it in our favor). Very honest and up front place. Even if I had failed, I would have still gave a 5 star rating to Swift Smog. read more
