In reading the other reviews... apparently people think a home inspection (which is looking at structural components of the home), should include psychic abilities about the AC/heating units and an interest in appliances left behind? Taft does a great job and I had him inspect both of my properties before purchasing them. About a year later I had a problem with the A/C. Annnnd? Not his fault. On July 22, Swift Home Inspection provided an inspection for a property which I purchased on 8/28/20. The inspection noted that the dishwasher worked properly. The first time we ran the dishwasher it shorted the fuse. Upon further inspection on our part, it was found that the dishwasher was connected to a 10 amp circuit along with several other outlets in a separate room. A 10 amp circuit is not adequate to handle the load produced by the dishwasher much less anything else. Therefor I think it is logical to conclude that the inspector did not do his job properly and provided us an inspection with faulty information. When we let Swift know about the problem, we were told that we would be contacted. Two weeks have gone by and no one has reached out. I have tried to reach out to the company directly and am being given the run around. All in all it has been a very poor experience, and I would not recommend using this company. read more

Extremely thorough and professional - Taft was very patient and really did a great job. He reviewed the report with us line by line and answered all of our questions. Very easy to understand. Also gave us a tabbed binder with all the categories plus other info, including warranties they provide for using their service. The finalized digital report, which can be downloaded, was complete with photos, very clear explanations and recommendations, etc. We also had the pest inspection and he found the two tiniest little termite tubes way up in a corner of a closet near the ceiling - we never would've noticed those ourselves. An inspection is just that - an inspection, they cant predict how long your AC will run once you move in, turn it to 34 degrees and never clean or maintain it... and they are not "experts" in every appliance, plumbing or electrical systems & pools... again - inspections... which is what they did...they even found a small leak in a bathroom drain, and labeled every outlet that needed GFCI or reversed polarity fixed - inside and outside the home. They took me into the attic to inspect it as well as walk the entire property to answer questions. As an informed buyer I will take his inspection report and consult with a professional in each of the fields I am concerned with since an inspector shouldn't know how fix the items they find issues with (or they would be building the houses!). I've bought and sold several homes over the years but had never purchased one in Arizona so I was a bit apprehensive about it. The construction methods and materials in Arizona are quite a bit different than those used in the southeast where I'm from. I'm not accustomed to checking tiled roofs and stucco walls, so I wasn't even sure what to look for when checking into the integrity of a home in the Mesa/Phoenix area. Luckily Swift Home Inspection was suggested by my realtor and I'm glad.
