Swezey's is awesome. It being called a pub had us nervous at first because we had our 2 yr old with us. Upon arrival we saw it was perfect. The tables are all handcrafted from palletts with Swezey's burnt into them. Very cool. The menu is diverse. We started with the bruschetta which was awesome. Avoided this place for awhile now. It just seemed too trendy with a menu that didn't excite me. However, my daughter was interested in applying for a job there and we decided to check it out. Reviews had been consistently good so I assumed it would be a nice Sunday brunch spot. We walked in and it seemed kind of loud, but not too over the top. It's seat yourself and our drink order was right away. Still too early for a cocktail for me but the selection looked good and the bar is pretty. It's easy to see what beer they offer. My daughter ordered nachos and onion rings and I ordered the philly cheese steak per the great reviews. The menu warned us that nachos were a 12-15 minute wait. It was worth every penny we paid and every minute we waited. First, they brought out enough food to feed us 3 days. Whoops, remember that next time- there WILL be a next time. Then the nachos would have over fed both of us for 2 meals. They were very very good, my daughter has served at every Mexican restaurant within 8 miles and those were the best nachos around. They were not soggy like they are everywhere else, crispy right down to the bottom, lots of toppings and sauces served with it too. The onion rings are the best I've had, better than Bobby's dairy dip even- shocking! The dip was addictive too, I felt like licking the container clean but my daughter would have been horrified. The cheese steak.... wow- I didn't even know I liked cheese steak. It starts with the freshest bread I've ever had in a restaurant, I read they get it fresh daily from clarksville. The meat was piled high with fresh peppers, onions, mushrooms. I know there was cheese but I lost it in there. With all this food we brought most home- it all held up well to reheating. While it cost just over $30.00, we way over ordered and I thought it was inexpensive for the amount and quality of the food. Customer service is their business? NO! We were seated immediately when we arrived. 15 minutes later after never being acknowledged that I was breathing, We left. All anyone had to do was say we will be with you shortly. Every wait staff had to pass our table to get to the serving area. No-one ever said anything to us. We left. I would to have loved to rate this place 5 stars, visited twice while we were in town, the food was absolutely amazing, great beer selection, awesome vibe! The only thing that really ruined this for my husband and I was the awful, downright nasty attitude from the female bartender, didn't catch her name, and I don't want to embarrass her either. I always thought TN was so hospitable but not her. Maybe she had an off day or something but will not be returning. Haven't been in the industry for a couple years but great customer service is how you keep guest returning and how you make lots of money!! I think she may need a lesson or two on that. read more

Not impressed at all, lousy service and poor portions for the meal. Ordered the wings, there was a hair in my wings - yuck! Slow service, server obviously cared more about gabbing with her coworkers. Took my server who has no tables 15 minutes just to get my drink order. Some stoner with a nose ring made my burger veeeery well done when I asked medium rare. Definitely has potential, and a cool location.Had to ask for my wings to be replaced, overhead the cook complaining. For my entree I ordered a simple cheeseburger with some sautéed onions, lettuce, and tomato. Asked for it medium rare, burger was well done, and it was mostly bread. I had big mouthfuls of bread before I even touched the burger. The idea of this restaurant is nice, but everything was poorly done. Sad to say this was very disappointing and I have absolutely no interest in returning, and I recommend you don't try it either. read more

We've been coming here for years. When we first came it was an easy 5 star place. But in the years it has just gone down for us. Sadly, we won't be back after this attempt. The service is great. Everyone is friendly, this is not a review based on anything by the quality of the food for what we pay. First everything except salad is severed in a metal wired basket that is TINY compared to your food amount piled in it and always COVERED in grease. So the paper breaks and all your food mixes and it's just a complete mess. Honestly, they need to use plates. And this isn't a one off situation, it happens everytime we go there, even I'm take out. The food doesn't taste bad, but when you pay $14 for a quesadilla you don't wanna eat it with a spoon. Again the service is always great and it's always busy, so maybe we are the only ones who feel this way but the last few times we have tried, even take out, we have left a little disappointed. read more

Yesterday my daughter (Ashland City) took me to Swezey's for lunch for my first visit. We were seated in the bar room where alt-rock music was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk. We quickly re-seated ourselves in the "music" room side where it was much less noisy, and then we had to ask for ice for our ice tea, which had very little. This was quickly taken care of and now that a couple of minor adjustments had been made, we were ready to eat. My daughter ordered the "Philly" sub and I ordered the Reuben, one of my all-time favorite sandwiches. The basket, as served, looked overwhelming, with large, fresh, and steaming servings. This "Reuben" was their rendition of a traditional Reuben; it wasn't on Rye bread, and I couldn't find, or at least taste, sauerkraut, and I couldn't really taste "Swiss" in the cheese. But never mind. Whatever it was, Reuben, faux-Reuben, or whatever, it was one of the most delicious sub sandwiches I've had in decades. Two 5-1/2" halves of fresh and marvelous bakery sub roll, chocked FULL of quality corned beef & cheese and 1000 Island dressing, accompanied by a generous mound of french fries which only minutes before had been a potato. This is pub grub of the highest quality, ranking with the best I've ever had, and well worth the reasonable price. read more

We got so much food which is always a plus! The corn dip was really good, it would have been even better served warm. The music was extremely loud which was tough for myself and my best friend who both suffer from anxiety but it is a Pub after all.
