This is a cool community pub. Tons of locals that patron this place. Dry rub wings have never disappointed! Seriously some of the best I've ever had. Subs are good but a little spongy on the bread, if they toasted the bread, They'd probably be top shelf too. Burgers are solid! They love their mayo, charge $0.50 to put it on your sandwich. Staff is friendly and fun! Appetizers are good but a little steep on the price for the portion sizes. read more

Swezey's is a cool spot in Ashland city that I discovered thanks to yelp and I must spread the word about this cool little restaurant. The building itself is fairly new but when you enter the restaurant it has a kinda sports bar/family oriented atmosphere and it's definitely a happening spot on the weekends. During my visit I purchased the Philly cheesesteak and it was worth the visit with plenty of meat, cheese and peppers I was in heaven. The staff at the location were friendly and they even had a good selection of local and regional beers for sale which I thought was awesome as a beer geek. I noticed a list of specials which occur thought it the week so if your coming through Ashland city or plan on visit I would definitely recommend this place as a lunch spot due to the killer specials throughout the week and awesome food. Swezey's will definitely be a place I come back to when in Ashland City. read more

Been here a few times now. The service is decent and the atmosphere is okay. My complaint is really more with the food. For their prices, the food is really just average, at best. I probably won't be back for a while...i feel like i kinda waste money here. read more

Bacon Cheese dip, the Rueben and the blackened grilled tacos ARE DELICIOUS! Friendly servers and a descent bar. read more

Bummer this has been my go to place when taking the bike out on saturdays and stopping here on the way back. Went last Saturday and they were out of tater tot's which I get because the fries are always over seasoned. So I went with the nachos. The nachos are smaller now I know this because we always order nachos and another meal. The nachos we would always be plenty to the point of not finishing This time it seemed either a smaller plate or not as tall. Also they got rid of happy hour for beers. And they made it clear with the signs reminding people that there is not a happy hour on the weekends With these prices I will finish my trip in Nashville or Franklin. read more

This place sucks!! Food is terrible - overcooked! They had happy hour - forget it - gone - they blame it on their "new system". Done! $9 for a half of scoop of whipped cream shit called " chocolate mousse". Don't waste your time or money!!!! read more

A fantastic Philly cheesesteak. Don't go on a night when there's live music too loud.

My best friend and I love to grab lunch together, but me living in Clarksville and her living in Nashville makes it difficult to get together on busy weekdays. We decided to meet halfway today and stopped into Sweezey's for the first time. LOVED it! Our server Addison was very kind and knew the menu very well. She was attentive, quick and friendly! I love the selection of local drafts (I got a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale), and the white cheddar bacon dip is amazing! The sausage and pepper sandwich was yummy, but the rueben was delicious. Onion rings and sweet potato fries are a must, but will definitely be getting loaded tots next time! Can't wait to come back :) read more

Every time I go to Swezey's, I have to get the Steak Philly and tater tots. I travel a lot and have to say that they have the best Steak Philly type sandwich that I have ever had. Also, the portion of tots is very generous. Friendly service and convenient location make Swezey's one of my favorites! Highly recommend! read more

Wow! I avoided this place for months after it opened because of the crowd and noise......BUT.... This Friday I made it in right before the dinner rush and have no regrets. We were seated quickly and politely. The live band was just getting warmed up. They have a decent happy hour which we took advantage of, but didn't overdo it. I had a scrumptious Boston Butt sandwich with loaded tots. The sandwich was decent but I gravitated towards crispy tater tots with some type of white sauce, cheese, and chives. The wife had a good Philly cheese steak with some home grown version of Mexican street corn that had a Cajun flare. It was savory. I would say if you can get to this place in an off hour it's a sure hit!!!! read more

Driving through on a Thursday for lunch. Highly recommend. The food was delicious and great portions. I got the Veggie sub and street corn that was amazing and my husband got the pulled bbq pork nachos and cucumbers and onion. Hope we can pass through again. read more

Avoided this place for awhile now. It just seemed too trendy with a menu that didn't excite me. However, my daughter was interested in applying for a job there and we decided to check it out. Reviews had been consistently good so I assumed it would be a nice Sunday brunch spot. We walked in and it seemed kind of loud, but not too over the top. It's seat yourself and our drink order was right away. Still too early for a cocktail for me but the selection looked good and the bar is pretty. It's easy to see what beer they offer. My daughter ordered nachos and onion rings and I ordered the philly cheese steak per the great reviews. The menu warned us that nachos were a 12-15 minute wait. It was worth every penny we paid and every minute we waited. First, they brought out enough food to feed us 3 days. Whoops, remember that next time- there WILL be a next time. Then the nachos would have over fed both of us for 2 meals. They were very very good, my daughter has served at every Mexican restaurant within 8 miles and those were the best nachos around. They were not soggy like they are everywhere else, crispy right down to the bottom, lots of toppings and sauces served with it too. The onion rings are the best I've had, better than Bobby's dairy dip even- shocking! The dip was addictive too, I felt like licking the container clean but my daughter would have been horrified. The cheese steak.... wow- I didn't even know I liked cheese steak. It starts with the freshest bread I've ever had in a restaurant, I read they get it fresh daily from clarksville. The meat was piled high with fresh peppers, onions, mushrooms. I know there was cheese but I lost it in there. With all this food we brought most home- it all held up well to reheating. While it cost just over $30.00, we way over ordered and I thought it was inexpensive for the amount and quality of the food. Looking forward to going back with my husband and trying a cocktail read more

Best Philly cheesesteak I had in a long time. The wings were pretty delicious too!!!!

Sorry, but Jon Taffer would not be pleased. Nothing was clean, the table had something all over it, there were wrappers, crayon and food left on the second layer of the table/pallet we ate on. My daughter's high chair I wiped down with several baby wipes and it was disgustingly dirty and the bottom of the high chair had at least three years worth of dust on it... when I went to change her diaper in the ladies room I decided it was better to change her in the front seat of our car, even though she is way too big to do that. The food wasn't great and the service was lacking. The drink special they overcharged us on. I would highly not recommend. read more

Excellent bar food. The bartender Eric is very nice and helpful. Service was excellent and the staff is very nice. Boston butt sandwich is a great knife and fork meal, great flavor. read more

Came here on my first day at my new job. It was a working lunch and I was trying to eat healthy. I ordered the spinach salad, while my coworker and manager got the Cobb salad and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich looked amazing. My salad was a little disappointing. First, I assumed it came with a protein. It did not; which is fine and my fault. Second, the onions were very overpowering. All in all, it was decent. I would like to go back and try something with more substance. The decor and vibe of the space was really nice. read more

We had the make your own burger and kielbasa sub. The bread is delicious, moist, and soft, but for us they were oversized for the meats. Sweet potato fries were very crisp and flavored with cinnamon. Swezeys is in an area of restaurants in a new subdivision. The restaurant is very loud and difficult for conversation, but the food was very tasty. read more

Had high hopes after reading the reviews. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon during a little road trip out of Nashville. Place is in an unexpected cool development between Joelton and Clarksville. It was busy (another good sign). Got seated in a shades outdoors area but quickly became overwhelmed by flies. We moved inside and saw plenty of folks waiting on food (always a bad sign). Menu is a kittle too ambitious which no doubt slows down food delivery. It did in our case. Food we received was mixed. Decent Philly cheesesteak (light on cheese) and burger (juicy but weird gray look). Where it all fell apart were the fresh cut fries. They were room temp, limp, undercooked and greasy. Bleh. Waitress said they'd be replaced. They never were. Place appeared to have plenty of help but definitely some problems in the kitchen. I'd give it another shot, maybe on a different day or night along with a different side. Can't mess up the fries. A fundamental no-no in a sports bar / pub concept. read more

Food was delicious and different than we've eaten our whole vacation. The Italian sub was awesome and the loaded tots came out hot and delicious. My wife says the turkey sub was really good and refreshing as well. Very clean and staff was friendly a little long wait time to get food after ordering but nothing to bad. read more

I love this spot. Not your typical neighborhood bar/grill. Great food. Great bar. Great people.

Locals seem to gather here. Large bar selection beer and liquor Large sandwich selection, subs, quesadilla, build your own burgers, fish taco. Would suggest wider selection tacos and maybe night plate special. Large selection of sides including Brussel sprouts, seasoned fries. Recommend as sandwich and beer place, not a fine dine place. Friendly staff and good service. read more

So disappointed every time we come here. The amount of food is like you getting small plates with a big price.

So I've been eating here for awhile now, it's a great local business and they have amazing sandwiches! I always get the Philly cheesesteak; the amount of meat on their sandwiches is very generous, and the ingredients are always fresh. Fries are yummy and you can get them seasoned; I always get Cajun but I really want to try the old bay. And the street corn will have you craving it often. The ambience here is great so if you have the time, sit at the bar or a booth and enjoy your food with one of their many options of drinks. Great customer service also! I can't say enough good things about this place! Go today! read more

We've been to Swezey's several times, and always enjoy trying something different. Favorites: Cajun fries - just the right amount of heat....delicious. If you have not found your way to Swezey's Pub, you are truly missing out. Now...I don't want to downplay the quality of "pub" food this establishment cranks out of the kitchen every single day because it is far from the norm. In fact, if you like a flair of flavor mixed with stellar quality, this is the place to find just that. However, I am more focused on the service with this post. As many Pleasant Viewians would agree, it's hard to come by service excellence when you are the only sit-down on the block. The quality lacks when competition is non-existent. When you enter the front doors of Swezey's, you are greeted with a smile as you are offered a seat at the bar or a table inside or out. The servers go above and beyond to make your experience above average. Along the same lines, if you haven't met Rob or Jeff then you've not had the true Swezey's experience. These crazy guys are some of the most talented professionals in the business. They know how to earn good business and KEEP it! No doubt the owner, Mike, is proud to call them "my team" as he builds a reputation of quality customer service in a up and riding community. Don't hesitate to make the drive if you live anywhere within reason. The Wedge salad is one of my all time favorites since they top it with their blue cheese dressing made in house plus so much more. I load that up with Buffalo grilled chicken because it's just that good. Fried Bologna sandwich and Cajun tots is a favorite for my fella. Regardless, you can't go wrong if you just make it there. Check it out! read more

This place is absolutely amazing and long needed in pleasant view. We've been here about 8 times now and have ordered a good majority of items off of the menu and it has all been outstanding. As other's have mentioned, the Boston butt is a must try and the Philly is out of this world amazing. Staff is super friendly and cool. As far as prices, it may not seem like it at first looking at the menu, but they really are amazing for the quality of food you get and the amount you get. read more

We love coming to Swezey's. While we have probably tried all of the sandwiches on the menu, I strongly recommend the Boston Butt or the Spicy Ginger Chicken (my go to and it is not really spicy). I am from New England and their Grilled Polish Kielbasa sandwich reminds me of home. They also offer Cajun fries or Old Bay fries as one of their many sides. Ask for the jalapeño ranch dipping sauce. You will not be disappointed! The downsides would be that they have live music on some days and while the music is awesome it can get extremely loud in there especially as they play awesome live music on the bar side. If you don't like the noise don't go to Swezey's and don't let them sit you by the speakers on the live music side lol. The service is good but can be slow and busier nights. Probably just a sign of the times everywhere with people looking for help. If you're looking to cut some calories, their salad options are good. I do wish they would offer a vegetable medley or a steamed broccoli as a side but hey I'm not coming to lose weight. Overall the best sandwiches in Cheatham County and probably Middle Tennessee. read more
