this place is so cute and a perfect desert spot. my first time here I got chocolate gelato, it was super rich and definitely tasted hand made. I got a small size, just one large scoop. the time I went also came with a free mini cupcake (: the shop is quite small, but has a good atmosphere. there's a large selection of deserts, and they all sounded great!! what's also really cool about this place is they also have breakfast burritos that I heard were very good, I'll definitely try one when I'm in Redding again. the bakery selection is also pretty good, it ranges from large baked goods to tiny mini cupcakes (the oreo is great!). the only down fall I found with this place was the price. :( it was over 10$ for two small orders of gelato. it is a small business so I guess that definitely reflects on how they price their food. will definitely come here again for desert or some take home goods! but definitely don't recommend this place for someone looking for an inexpensive sweet tooth satisfier. 4/5 stars because of the pricing read more

But then you put it with tri-tip and cheddar with perfectly sweet peppers, tomato, and onion, and let me have it on a lettuce wrap. Inhaled it. To die for. Huge green salad with chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, plenty of croutons, shaved Parmesan, and a lovely balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect tangy vinegar to oil ratio. Came here on Memorial Day and the cupcakes were buy one get one. The cupcakes really were delicious. They tasted FRESH not prefrozen. Very moist and better than anticipated. Favorite was the Diva cup cake. I also tried the almond croissant which was dam near perfect. Perfect flakiness. A tad more almond paste would have been great but it was excellent. Also had the lemon bar. Which is 4 bucks but it's huuuge. The crust was pretty average the lemond part was delicious. We tried The Salted Caramel Gelato as well as Cookies n Cream.... So delicious! Creamy and rich without the overly sugary flavor you find elsewhere. Lastly, I ordered and iced Americano which was really really good. I could actually taste and smell the espresso, deff one of the better coffee beverages I've had around these parts. Service was EXCELLENT. I didn't feel rushed and the woman working was very friendly and pleasant to interact with. After Relocating from the bay area, it's been tough to find dining expiriences that have delicious food and great service. This place restored my faith I hope they keep it up. read more

My two visits yielded very different opinions. I liked the products and the customer service was great on my first visit. Today, not so much... I got an employee completely lacking basic customer service skills. I presented the cashier with a coupon (2 for $6 for two gelatos). The coupon was still valid until the end of December. She informed me that the current deal she had programmed in the system was 2 for $7. I asked if she could do a price adjustment (like they did a week ago). She refused. I asked if she would waive the price of one of the $1 mini cupcakes I was buying. She refused. I was shocked at how rude she was. She gave me a lot of attitude and treated me as though I was asking for so much! It isn't about the money, but I gave her two opportunities to do the right thing. I reluctantly paid the higher price. Then she walked off without bagging the gelatos or even giving me spoons and I had to lean over the counter to get some spoons. I brought my granny here for lunch on a hot summer day. It had been a rough week due to loss in the family and we wanted to get out and smile. We were greeted by each staff member as soon as we walked in the door. We tried the gelato and each flavour tested fresh. It was so hard to choose, because they were all good! I mixed chocolate and lemon meringue and people it was crazy good. Grams ate every bite of the red velvet. We split a lemon rosemary cookie and this savoury/sweet oatmeal cookie. It was so good we decided to stay for lunch. We sat down at a table and took in the decorations and cozy space. We asked the manager for suggestions and decided on the pesto chicken sandwich and miso ramen with added dumplings to it. The ingredients were excellent quality and put together well. That bone broth was rich and tasty. We were not disappointed. We had so much food left, we had it again for dinner. We will definitely be back. I wish there was an option for 3 1/2 stars. This place has great treats. I love the fact that I can do things like get a single serving size of a cheesecake. However, on the evening I was here, the place was a madhouse. There were not clear lines for service. There was one by the pastry case and what appeared to be a mob/line by the cash register and ice cream. It was complete and utter chaos. The place is a little pricey as well. I don't mind paying for quality, but these are darn near LA prices. While the ice cream and treats we got were good, the insanity to navigate the weird lines was almost not worth it. Sweet Spot is a gem. They have gelato, cheesecakes in mason jars, brownies, cupcakes, coffee and cookies. They also have buy one get one free pastries after 5pm which is a major plus. I recently found out that they have vegan donuts! They occasionally have chefs come in and cook more savory types of food on the weekends. And they occasionally have entertainment and live music. The space itself is super unique and has about 3 separate rooms. The front room right when you walk in has a kids space behind the counter. To your right, is the bar/entertainment space. And if you walk all the way past the restrooms, there's another, more secluded room, in the back. If you order a cheesecake, you get to keep the mason jar. And if you bring the mason jar back (washed I assume!) you get a discount on your next sweet treat. read more

Wow ten stars for Allen our server! He was warm and funny, attentive and patient, and wisely told me that the ramen I ordered would be too spicy: "1 ha a pretty good kick, 2 is spicier than sriracha, 3 is fire" so I ordered a 1 and it was perfect! The ramen noodles aren't classic ramen noodles but they and the broth were delicious and perfect for a cold winter night. Didn't hurt that I had really great company with my friend, and the live music added to the ambience! What earned my loyalty was Allen's thoughtful service - he was attentive but not intrusive, remembered that my friend had an egg allergy and made sure to check if the dumplings he ordered would be tolerated because egg is used to bind the dumplings...etc. What an enjoyable experience! And the cherry on the cake was that Allen brought us dessert on the house - a chia mango coconut pudding for my friend ("it's egg-free" he said to my friend) and a chocolate cupcake for me! I've always gotten great customer service, even with request for extra frosting on top of Birthday Cake Gelato! Today my Grandson and I went in for a treat after school, ordered birthday cake for him...and she scooped underneath the birthday cake topping... WHAT!!! Who does that ... so I said "you missed the birthday cake portion." She stated we scoop from the bottom... Ummm ... NO! I told her she could keep it. Used to order cheesecakes all the time but they were in glass mason jars making it worth the price and very tasty. Now they serve the cheesecake in cupcake wrappers and a paper cup. Went two day ago to get them and I'm not sure if they changed the recipe but the cheesecakes were gross. One third of the cup was filled with unsweetened whip cream and you couldn't eat the crust with pulling out pieces of cupcake paper wrapper. Hope this is temporary for loss of funds during COVID. Hope the owner notices this review and says they have plans to change back! Was a number one fan! I visited this place for the first time a few days ago with my boss. Living in a new town, I am eager to try new places to eat. Sweetspot has an inviting atmosphere with friendly staff. The salad I ordered was delicious! Customers pick their own ingredients which all taste so fresh! I hear the Ramen bowl is delicious too. They also have an amazing selection of desserts! I spoiled myself with their Diva cupcake. It had a white buttercream frosting and caramel filling inside the cupcake. It was so Devine! I like this spot but I have a little feedback for the owner. I was there today with my 9 year old daughter who loves ramen. I can't justify spending $13.00 on a bowl I know she is only going to get halfway through at best. Can you please offer a smaller or kid size ramen? We ended up sharing a bowl but they won't split in half for you in the kitchen and there's hardly enough broth for two bowls. They said I could order more broth in the front but that meant I had to go stand in line and pay for more while my soup sat there getting cold... just kind of disappointing. Why not offer a charge for a shared bowl and let me know in advance? Also if you know you are bringing two bowls for someone sharing it would be nice to have two spoons, I had to get up and wait to get a second spoon as there were none to be found anywhere for me to serve myself with. Trying to be charged extra for chicken instead of pork because of 2 and then having to go ask about it. 4. Never getting told that I had to order and pay at the bar for wine. 5.
